    Something... bothers me about the new setting. I feel like it's about to forfeit a lot of the exoticism that made the series so appealing. The last half of the episode actually made me think of a superhero movie. And with areas outside of Republic City still looking A:TLA-era, I'm getting mood whiplash to boot.

    Much as that's bringing me down, it's pretty much all I can say in the negative. Characterization is stellar; in fact, I think it might be better than the original series. Korra's pretty damn lovable right off. Animation is a knock-out, of course. If only the setting wasn't such a glaring issue for me, maybe I'd be less pensive about the show's future... Oh well, it's definitely worth a watch.
