I'm wanna wear this for Prom, Homecoming, and pretty much every dress down/dress up day at my school. Wear (haha, made a funny) can I find it in America?
EDIT: Buying online is NOT an option by the way. I absolutely hate it. I'm really looking for something more along the lines of an international or multicultural store.

Didn't you make a thread like this before, because I am seriously getting Deja Vu.
And you may be able to check online some stores import cosplays from Japan.
If not you'll have to make in yourself.

Actually it's not that difficult you could use sites like esty.com , it's pretty easy to commission custom items there.

It's also a lot money to buy a cosplay. He'll probably better off commissioning it because of the lower shipping costs and better fit.

Well, price is one of my main concerns. Maybe I can find an international store in my area.

This is why I make all my cosplays myself. Plus, then they're tailored to my body perfectly.

Don't ever buy the mass produced cosplays, even in the pictures they look terrible.
Comissions usually look pretty good, but the price can really rack up.
If you make it, it's generaly the cheapest, and ends up looking the best, because you can make it look exactly how you want. My Judai jacket that I'm making? The supplys totaled to about 30$, even though I still don't have everything I need. But it's still not gonna be above 45$.

Well I suppose I'll have to learn to sew over the summer then. See, I want it for serious suit&tie/tuxedo occasions, not cosplay. As mentioned before, I plan on wearing it to Homecoming and Prom, and maybe weddings and such. There are a lot of anime fans at my school, but most are too lazy to go looking for or making a gakuran. Needless to say, they'll be impressed.

If I can make it quickly enough, I might even use for my Student ID photo, but that's pretty unlikely considering the fact that all I can do on a sewing machine right now is make thread patterns on fabric. But I shall learn if I can't find one for a good price quickly enough, although it's not that urgent.

You live in Ohio, right? Good luck with that. :/ The only place I could imagine finding something like that would be NYC.

Buying online isn't bad, so long as you do it right and are patient. Patience sometimes isn't even necessary, so long as you aren't ordering from China or something.

Well... all my advice just went out the window.
I know there is a Japanese Cultural Mall about an hour away from where I live, I doubt they sell those there though.
Uhhhh Chinese tailor shops tend to be cheap and turn out a decent product but they probably don't have those where you live.
I would check online and find a Japanese or probably any Asian center of culture(like Chinatown). Think of a place you know where a lot of Asian gather or live and try to look for a store in that vicinity.
Word of mouth is probably the best way to do this or try online.
This is honestly the best I can do.

The whole thing for me is paying. I prefer to actually give a person $100 rather than using PayPal and credit cards and stuff to pay someone who I'll likely never meet. I've done it in the past for importing games, but even then it gets really annoying because my dad has this thing about buying online. See, he uses a program to generate a one-time use credit card number that he then uses for that one purchase through some sort of online service (Paypal I think?) As you can imagine, it just gets to be way too much work. Now if I could send a check through the mail, that'd work fine. But online, not unless it's absolutely necessary.

EDIT: I did a search for "asian cultural centers in ohio," and the first result was Sandusky Cultural Center.

    I want to go there!
The culture of Fearless probably involves a lot of pushing people off of cliffs and cosplaying....sounds like fun!
