You don't play defense in baseball/softball.
You play in the field.

If you're going to try to be funny with a classic skit at least use the terminology correctly or I'll be after you with a bat like a Scout after a sandvich.

 

Playing the field is defense. Your are trying to defend the bases. I may not know the terminology, but I do know the what everything is. Kinda like how I don't know what this part of my PS2 is called, but I know what it does.

Never in my seven years of playing softball has playing in the field been refered to as "defense".

And lol until you've gotten hit in the face with a softball going at least 60 mph don't ever make that comparison again. c:

 

I know it's not called defense. But I do know that it is defense.

And a softball is not as dense as a baseball. I've been pelted by both.

 

A point I want to make clear

 

Then you should know that hitting water at 60 mph is basically the same as hitting concrete at 60 mph, if you don't mind the comparison.

 

You go through water. You don't go through concrete. I know, I've used the physics engine in Blender to test both on multiple occasions.

 

...Either way you're likely to die. When you hit the water at 60 mph it's the same as hitting concrete because of water resistance.

 

It depends on How do you hit the water:

If you hit it like this |: the damage would be minimum
If you hit it like this _: the damage would technically be the same as if you hit concrete xD
