My copy of the game is coming Tuesday morning and it's free. I'm merely mentioning this in hopes that it causes some rage :3

Grrr...Canada pisses me off...for this reason (I want to get my Batman on and Amazon says $52.99), and the fact that they slaughter baby seals!

I don't know about them, but I do know that *directed at the person who gave me a reputation demerit* I am not wrong on that point. :P

    Oh hai. :>

PETA has been known to be quite irrational.
The ones shown in that video killing the seals are NOT seal hunters. They are fisherman, killing them illegally because they feel their catch is threatened by the seals eating fish.

    Hurhur, PETA.

As Vertigo/Luna stated in the link she had posted seals have been hunted for hundreds of years by the Inuit. In fact the killing of baby things for nourishment is found in many cultures, i.e. baby rats are drowned and placed in a few specialized and uncommon "traditional" Asian drinks; in some cases of egg-laying the male chicks are asyphixated and discarded because they are not needed whilst the female chicks are to lay the eggs.

Though I wouldn't say I'm completely supportive of this practice, it is extremely hard to change some traditions. Look at a handful of diverse cultures in Africa, for example.

I understand where you are coming from, but the people who kill them steal their fur. And if they were fisherman, the Canadian government should have already informed PETA that it was fisherman, and that they were mistaken.
P.S. The Canada video that you posted was really funny!

Fur trapping is common and once again it has been done for many years. The mindset of the Inuit hunters were to use the entire animal when they had killed it; this includes the fur. And even if the government did inform PETA, I do doubt they would listen due to their radical views over any sort of animal mistreatment.

Yes, but only the ones that kill them illegally do that.
The Inuit hunters hunt adult seals for the meat. They use the skin for traditional clothing.
The seal industry is no more inhumane than any other meat industry. Perhaps even less inhumane.
