I had a friend around and we ate rubbish and decided to watch a scary film, we chose Saw. This film is horrible, I don't mind gore but that was just gross- I can't comprehend how people find horror entertaining. O.o

Anyone else seen this delightful film?

*hides* It's horrible! Who does that sort of thing! I refuse to cut the stomach open of my loved one while he's still alive to stop my head from exploding. *shudders*

I laughed. My friends quiver in fear at scary films, I laugh whilst slapping my knee in delight.

Scares my friends even further. Mwahahaha!!!

I've seen the film a number of times. For some reason, the gore didn't bother me. I was more interested in the drama that was going on around the story.

The person Amanda was cutting into was a complete stranger. He used the term "cell mate" because it was like she was in a jail cell. And, she was told that he was dead. We learned that it was a lie, but she didn't know that. He appeared dead.

I don't watch much horror, simply because it doesn't entertain me. Of few horror movies I have seen, Saw is not one of them. I listen to people talk about it and it is evidently just a gore-fest that gets progressively worse as the series goes on.

It's horror, don't gross me out, scare me. Is that to much to ask Hollywood?

Gore/splatter movies = Saw, Hostel, Cannibal Holocaust etc

Horror movies = The Grudge, Final Destination, Shining etc

    So you do mind gore.

Final Destination, The Ring, The Grudge, The Last Exorcism, Cloverfield, Insidious, Orphan, and One Missed Call (Japanese version's better on this one).

    Choose your poison.

Final Destination isn't scary at all.
That's easily more gore than scare.

I think the first Saw was really good. It had a deeper meaning and it wasn't about the gore. It was about how people would take so much for granted, etc. After the first, though, it just became a cash cow to see what super gross things they'd do next.

Honestly, that's one thing that really scares me about Higurashi. Gore I can take. Shocking entrances I can take. Killer lolis I can take. But the fact that I laughed at so many of the scariest scenes, including a 9 year old knifing her own head, scares the **** out of me.

I'm only like that when watching with other people. By myself I usually **** myself, especiay in an empty house.

You've just reminded me of 'Icchi the Killer'
Now that's suppose to be some scary and gory stuff.

Oh and the Human Centipede. What a disgusting film.
