Can't spell ignorant without Zter IGN. Reviews are usually horrible, the score depends on what amount of money they got, nobody actually follows them. I'm jelly, I need to play L.A Noire asap
How about making up your own damn mind rather than taking IGN' s review as word of god ? Saying that a game isn' t good enough just because X says so is the lamest argument ever. Even then, 8.5 is an outstanding mark, the US web notation system is loco. If 8.5 isn' t a good game I don' t know what is. Furthermore when I read a review I don' t give a **** about the marks, what I really care about is the review itself. The fact that game A was graded 8 and game B graded 9 doesn' t necessarily mean I' ll enjoy B more than A, but reading the review might give me an idea about which game would be the right pick for me. In the end lots of games get both excellent and bad reviews, the only way for me to know for sure where I stand is to play them myself. From what I' ve seen LA Noire is a Heavy Rain-like game with action sequences, have you played Heavy Rain ? Would you say LA Noire is better or along the same line ?
IGN sucks at reviews.. Plain and simple. It's getting alot of great scores at other places. Play the game yourself and form your own opinion. I wouldn't compare it to Heavy Rain. The gameplay in L.A. Noire much better, and it takes a lot more thinking to play L.A. Noire. Solving cases is quite the task. They're both story driven games, and that's pretty much all they have in common.
Yeah, I figured he might be trolling, I just had some venting out to do. ^^ People sheepishly agreeing to the general consensus can be found all over the world, unfortunately.
A good friend of myself named California held the pleasure of playing L. A. Noire in the 1940s. He stated it was quite hellish and annoying to himself, however, what with the murders, piracy, and other criminal activity that is was pinned as the cause of.
