So I didn't get a perfect attendance record for three years in a row.

All because of that stupid sick day on April 18th. My mom talked me into staying home, but I should have just gone, anyway.

 

trufax, as far as I can recall I have never had a perfect attendance record for a school year in my life

I regret nothing, going to school when you are sick is just so miserable. :c

 

I've learned to suffer through them each year, except freshman year, when I hadn't started caring about attendance.

However, I don't think what I had that week was exactly a cold. On Monday, April 16th, I woke up with a terrible headache and took Ibuprofen. On Tuesday, April 17th, I woke up again with a headache, but not as bad. However, I felt very dizzy if I moved just right, and I had a hard time driving. That same night, I had a temperature of 102.9, and then, in the morning of Wednesday, April 18th, it dropped, but after I took a shower, I laid down on my bed to dry off and fell asleep, and when I woke up, it was around 8:00 AM, and while I am a fast dresser, my mom just took it as an opportunity for me to stay home. The next four days, I still woke up with small headaches that downgraded each day.

Today was the talent assembly, which also included awards.

So I guess sophomore and junior years were my only perfect attendance years.

It does kind of suck, though, that they count excused absences for illness towards that.

 

The only year when I didn't get sick once was 3rd grade. But I was away once or twice for a family vacation, so not even then did I get perfect attendance (which our school didn't care for, anyway...).
But after that my immune system started hating me and I get sick pretty much every month ;.;

 

Perfect attendance in high school amounts to nothing post-high school. It's a waste of time. Just do your work, get good grades. That's what matters. They're awarding kids for harming themselves by coming to school sick and then getting others sick. It's such a silly award.

 

This year I've had 16 absences.

if I ever found out I somehow had a perfect attendance record, that would explain why I feel like I've had too much school in my life, and why I want to get away from it. Although, even fi I never went to school once in my life I'd still think there was too much school in my life

 

I skipped school so many times and now I regret it so much.

 

I'm pretty sure I spent more days outside of school than inside of school one year.

And damn, Amaury, you either have great memory or a very detailed journal.

I lost track of how many lectures I skipped this semester

 

I think I've had a total of 3 days off this year, that doesn't include dentist appointments/doctors/fainting episodes. And they were all coincidently on curriculum enhancement days at school that literally have no point to them.

...Although... I currently don't have to go into school :D Thank you study leave.

It is good to have a day off when you are ill, you can't withstand everything, but hey- your attendance is amazing regardless O.o

Pff, perfect attendance is useless. I had more than a dozen absences on my senior year.
Although I haven't skipped that many classes this semester. Maybe about 4 or 5 (Which is definitely not a lot to me >_>)

In my last year of high school my attendance was less than 80%, perfect attendance is like beating your own high score in a video game, no one but you will ever give a fuck

 

My overall attendance was about 94% this year, not bad for me.
