I've just gone through the hassle of Windows Live Messenger 2011.
I swear, it's such a pain in the ass to get rid of.
But now, after an hour of fiddling... I've managed to get the old (good) version of Windows Live back, and it also gave me Windows Movie Maker like I wanted.

Like the title to this thread says...
I deserve a nice cup of tea now...

wouldn't you rather want soda? Either way, I guess I should congratulate you? At least you're not stuck with Windows Live Movie Maker. Remember never to get it. But what was wrong with the Windows Live Messenger 2011?

I just really couldn't stand the new MSN...
I wanted the old one, and yeah, I didn't have to get windows live movie maker... it gave me the option.
But since my laptop didn't already have it, I figured... meh, I might as well. It's free after all, and if I want to uninstall the movie maker later, I can.

Also, to answer the earlier questions.

    Sweet.

The reason I'm not having Soda is because the don't have any... in fact, over here, I don't think we even call it Soda really... :/
    lol

WLM 2011 is ugly and pretty much uncustomizable.
If anyone has 2011 and wants to get rid of it, uninstall it through your Control Panel and then download the previous version of WLM.

And if you want a different version of it, just click on the one you want in the sidebar to the right.

It's called Qibla Cola I think....tried some at the coke factory, tasted bloody good. If you really want nasty try the North Korean coke, it's no wonder there so screwed up.

DPwolf... you just said it all.
And I wish that I hah, had you around when I was going through the pain of all this... lol
But yes, this is the gist of it!
WLM2011 is ugly! and frankly... yeah, it's just too horrible in mine and a lot of people's opinions.

NOTE: Oh, word of warning, if you try to uninstall Windows Live Messenger 2011, you'll need to uninstall the entire Windows Live Essentials Package, other wise, when you try to install say for example Windows Live Messenger 2009.
It will come up with an error and tell you you already have a newer version.
Even if you've uninstalled it and used such things as Zap messenger, the only way to completely remove it is through Removing the entire Live Essentials Package itself.

    EDIT: http://onsoftware.en.softonic.com/how-to-uninstall-windows-live-messenger-2011
That is the thingy I found on google which helped me.

For those of you who don't know...
I live in the UK, and... yeah.
I don't think we even have pop or Qibla lol
At least... I've never encountered it.

give me your address and I'll mail you some. But you'll have to pay for the shipping expenses.

But I use the 2010 version I think, I'm not entirely sure. But I don't really have anyone to chat with, I just keep it up to let me know when I get emails

As I said, ugly and uncustomizable. If you install it Messenger Plus isn't compatible (at least when I did it), and overall it's pretty bulky and just not pleasant to use.
Feel free to try it if you want, lol.

why? I just need it on so I know when I have emails. I don't have anyone to chat to, so there's no use to it for me. And by bulky how big is that? Like a giant screen for a small amount of stuff?
