So, I decided to replay Final Fantasy IX.

I haven't decided yet. I'm thinking about Juicy, Kitty, ZRW, Jaden Yuki, myself, Aurangzeb, SoonyBoy as being able to fill the role, but I doubt I'll end up being any of them.

Her hidden potential doesn't lie in leveling. In fact, even maxed out her base stats will only be in the lower 30s when the max base stats for the other characters are in the upper thousands. It's the special armor/weapon/accessory set that unlocks her hidden potential.
Each ultimate armor/accessory will have a special bonus that it gets when paired with another of the three armors/accesory, as well as a special bonus that it gets when paired with each character's Infinity Plus One Weapon, which, by the way, gives each character the same stat boost. However, only Sandusky can use all of them at once due to other things that prevent them from being used at the same time by other characters (too heavy for me, uncomfortable for Wolfie, etc.) So here's n how it'll basically break down.
Armor 1 gives these bonuses to other armors:
Armor 2: +10 DEF
Armor 3: +20 ATK
Accessory: +Poison ineffective.

Armor 2 gives these bonuses to other armors:
Armor 1: +30 LCK
Armor 3: +20 STR
Accessory: +Silence ineffective.

Armor 3 gives these bonuses to other armors:
Armor 1: +20 SPA (Special Attack)
Armor 2: +10 LTR (Limit Charge Rate)
Accessory: +Stat decreasing attacks ineffective.

Accessory gives these bonuses to other armors:
Armor 1: +20 SPD (Special Defense)
Armor 2: +10 MP
Armor 3: + Drain attacks ineffective.

Ultimate Weapon gives these bonuses to other armors:
Armor 1: +100 All Stats
Armor 2: +100 All Stats
Armor 3: +100 All Stats
Accessory: +All other negative status changes ineffective.

Again, this is only an example. In the final version, with all of these equipped Sandusky will be able to achieve stats in the lower X0,000s.


And your initial weaponset will be sword variations because, duh, you're the main character. You'll be able to wield that weapon after you defeat spdude who, again, will take around a fortnight of nonstop play to beat.

Now keep in mind it's going to be extremely buggy since I haven't done any programming on it yet, but it should work fine other than that.

Yeah, you're even worse than that in the beginning. The special armorset will require a longer and more tedious subquest than the one required to get the Knights of Round Materia in Final Fantasy VII. But believe me, it'll be totally worth it. And you can't start it until shortly before the final battle chain.

Mine will be better. Why? Because it will be filled with some of the longest and most tedious sidequests in all of video game history, all of which are required for hundred percent completion. And there will always be that one sidequest that everybody will spend years trying to complete even though the solution is so painfully obvious that you'll kick yourself in the head once you figure it out.
