Short Story Contest October 2008

You can count me in. I've got alot of short stories i've been dying to have in competitions =D

Whoa, very nice. I see you made this a while ago, your writing skills must be even better then that now ^^ That was really good, I felt like I was there an all.

The only thing is, I think everyone wants to change the theme this year to "darkness" because of Halloween and October an' all.​

 

OMG orange, i might take that texting prompt and use it in this story.

And about the judging....I kind of have to laugh. CTR, DF and myself judge the poetry contest. I'm open to giving people critiques and the sort, but i prefer writing to judging any day.

 

:sweatdrop: Didn't know all three of you did that... Yeah, shouldn't have volunteered anyone without knowing what I was talking about. Oh wellz, since this is the first month, we'll just see what happens. Surprisingly enough, I've already got my idea for the story. Just typing it... meh.

the theme is HOPE

 

no, they want to change it to something darker for October... but what was it changed to?

 

really? Well, if they wanted something Darker, i would pick suspense. but then, if that was the theme, i couldn't submit my story. its kinda a mix with the losing hope, and then its scary because the main villan is a Demon Spider?scorpion with an Oni mask. i even posted it on the site

I can't wait, i hope it's suspense, i have alot of idea's for something like that ^_^

The theme this year is probably dark.

I'm taking what O R A N G E said and we are startin' with a sentence.

You're at home watching "CSI" when you hear a faint scratching at the door. Upon opening it, you see a small dog looking up at you. You examine the dog's collar and see a phone number and the message "If you find this cat, call this number immediately." (Yes, that's right, cat.) Against your better judgment, you call the number. Two hours later you find yourself in a basement with two dead bodies on the floor. What happened?

Is it necessary that the show is CSI? I got a good idea, but it's about a different crime-fighting show...
