    OK, so here's the deal.

I am sure that will come as no surprise but I am a HUGE final fantasy fan...and oddly enough I have come up with 4 different original final fantasy stories...

im just curious how one would get them noticed...like after i write up a really big and long plot and character development stuff, how would one go about getting that story into the hands of a game developer?

I mean there really isn't any harm in trying... if it sucks it sucks but i wanna at least make an attempt to try and get these stories out of me head and into the hands of a company.

    so yea...

I think probably the most accessible way to get noticed by a game developer with layman qualifications is to present you idea in such a way that it goes viral. Things that go viral the quickest would be something like Youtube. So if one of the ideas works as a video, not necessarily the WHOLE (this is Final Fantasy....) thing but the gripping parts so that your audience is hooked and gets it shown around the fanbase. When people start showing your stuff on forums etc. and your screen name becomes a hallmark in the fanbase then a decent amount of people who actually make the games work would have heard of you. And so when you actually email them or something they don't write back saying "I'm sorry... but who are you?"
Alternatively you could get a degree or diploma in creative writing - something that says "Yes I have learnt the tricks of the trade" and then gather a portfollio of works you have come up with, including some stuff that has been published in a university paper etc to show you know what the public want. In this case they won't say "Who are you?" because qualifications and portfolios speak for themselves. With that they will be less reluctant to work with you.
Finaly you could win a design a game competition and be recognized.
You could even combine all of these ideas to make one super idea :P

Actually...the way I've most often heard (and from several heads of game developing) that the best way is to get involved in the gaming industry and make a name for yourself there. Everyone that plays video games has "the greatest idea ever", but no one in the industry will take you seriously until you've proven yourself.
Even if you have the internet behind you, that will be almost meaningless if you have no experience in the actual field. Which I know seems unfair, but when you think about it making a game - especially a huge, full-lenth FF type - costs millions of dollars. And if you've not much experience in marketing demographics and business aspects like that, it's fairly easy to see why the big name industries don't particularly listen to the average guy's ideas, suggestions, etc.

Also a problem with releasing things online is copyright issues. So I would honestly advise against that.
