I have been trying for ages to figure out why my pressure sensitivity settings aren't working. I've tried re-installing the drivers that came with it and downloading entirely new ones on two different computers, one running Vista and one running Windows 7; I've tried several tricks like restarting PS and disconnecting and reconnecting my tablet; I've messed around in computer properties, tablet properties, and device manager.

I've scoured the internet for solutions, but all I find are more problems. Wacom has significant issues with their tablets not working to varying degrees across several systems, not just Windows and not just Photoshop. Their functionality is sporadic and degrades over time. Mine only functions on the most basic level, not enough to do any decent work. I don't even know what needs fixed; I've read up on at least twenty solutions for the one problem, tried a solid two-thirds of them, and seen no success.

    tl;dr their tablets suck

It could be the type you have.

I just purchased Wacom Bamboo: Pen & Touch, and everything works fine with mine. Sensitivity is really well done in Photoshop, and I really like the touch feature I have, I can just move the mouse with my hand.

Goddamn it wrong kind of tablet

I knew this was going to happen

WHY DO THEY CALL THOSE THINGS TABLETS

CAN'T THEY CALL THEM PADS OR BOARDS OR WHYWOULDYOUOWNTHISITISUSELESS OR SOMETHING

Actually I heard Pen & Touch was one of the ones most likely to have problems. So either you got lucky or it'll stop working somewhere down the line. Mine worked all right when I first got it, but...

I SWEAR TO GOD NOVA IF YOU JINX ME I'M GOING TO COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND TAKE YOUR WRITING ABILITIES. |:

The only thing I have to complain about is that my computer is really laggy when I have it connected. But that's expected since I kinda have 234098234234 pictures and 97897456 songs and stuff.

I have a wacom tablet and it works fine for me. Actually, I haven't used it in a while, but it's still working fine. Maybe you just didn't get a good one. I actually was told by someone from UCD to buy one because that's what they use in their classes for animation, and it's also one of the few that work with the stuff they use. I haven't heard anything wrong about them

Mine works fine. I've had it for the better part of a year and I've never had any problems. My friend who goes to art school has had the same model for over three years and it still works fine for him. I'm really sorry for you and the other people who ran into problems but I can't say I share them.

I've had no problems with it, except it not working with Inkscape (but that was Inkscape's problem and I fixed it in a day.)
    I love it.

Probably? He is a fairly good artist... But, hard to tell. I do not know his style well enough.
