Standing in the corner, no one seemed to notice that she was slowly backing away, notice that their team was down one person. So it really didn't matter if she was there all along. Perhaps it was a stupid idea to think someone would eventually notice. Stupid to think that she would find a place to belong here. She was just a silly child who should have never left home, never let her father convince her this was the best place for her. Perhaps it wasn't too late, perhaps she could call her father and get him to pick her up, and possibly help with the guardians. Could she leave without talking to Ospin though? Would that be allowed? Maybe she just needed time and space to think.

Auburn had just turned around, just about to completely walk away when something exploded in the courtyard, fire. She heard screaming and then over it all was Qrows orders. Agni, another one of the guardians was here, but it seemed, just as Brisa was saying, Agni wasn't on their side. Auburn watched from behind one of the posts as Agni destroyed the entrance. Qrow wanted them to fight, distract while others fled. While Auburn might have been scared, that was the one thing she could do. The one thing that she would be able to help help with. Her father taught her to protect others and she would do just that.

Drawing two guns from the holsters that were attached to her legs, the handles of the guns resting slightly under her skirt. They were easy enough to grab however and was low enough down grabbing them posed no risk to her decency. With a flick of her wrists the guns straightened out into blades. With Agni's focus on one of the other students and a... cheese statue? Auburn took the chance to come out of the point that she was hiding and attack one of the Agni's from behind. Three strikes, that was all she would allow herself. It was her fathers rule, every three hits she had to step back and assess the situation. Three hits and then she would have to be ready to go on the defense before the enemy could find an opening and use it against you.

With three quick swipes on one of the Agni's Auburn retreated, leaping back into the air and landing on top of one of the pillars lining the walk way (because RWBY gravity is just that weird.) She then flicked her wrists again and transformed the blades back into guns, shooting off three shots at the other Agni that was there. Given she didn't know which was which, Auburn chose to focus on both. She wouldn't run herself dry without at least doing some damage to the real one, whichever that was.

»Not to oogle at his childhood stories. Jeez Lloyd was asking the impossible, not when they were that hot. He couldn't help himself but stare at them. Besides he was equally in awe at how the stories of the guardians turned out to be actually true. He wasn't that distracted by their bodies not to be still a little stunned by that fact. While the man was a straight edge, Arian decided it wouldn't be the end of the world to work with him after all. He still didn't like the idea of Lloyd as leader, but at least they could work on the same team, that would be fine in Arian's eyes.

»Before introductions and discussions could continue however, the boy from earlier pointed at the horizon and another one of their childhood stories appeared. This one, while still hot was not as friendly as Brisa. No Agni, as they called her, decided to start destroying the school grounds the moment that they stepped onto them. This of course did nothing but cause panic, which Arian felt like she was looking for given the way that Agni was talking. Arian had a bad feeling about everything, and wen they were put in charge of holding Agni off while the school was evacuated, that feeling just got worse. And there was a clone of Agni just to make matters worse. While this fight felt like it wasn't a good one to pick Arian wasted no time taking his bow from his back where a magnet held it in place and nodding at Lloyd as he rattled off instructions.

»Taking a few steps back, Arian found a slightly raised point to situate himself upon as he notched an arrow and aimed at Agni. He wasted no time loosing the arrow before grabbing another one. The point he stood was high enough that he could make it over the groups heads, and his aim was good enough that he figured he would have no trouble hitting Agni. The only problem with this was when he got that focused he tended not to observe what was around him all that well, that was why Arian had to just pray that Agni was acting alone and another evil guardian wasn't going to approach from behind and kill him while he wasn't looking.

Out of the corner of his eye Lazuli noticed that one of their teammates had yet to introduced themselves. In fact, they hadn't even said a single thing since they gotten out here. Interesting, more so surprising, but also interesting. They should probably get her to talk or at the very least introduce herself so that they know what to call her and what her voice sounds like. Lazuli had intended to do just that, but was interrupted when the Fire Guardian herself had appeared.

Typically Lazuli wasn't one to let himself be intimidated by an opponent just because they were stronger than him. All that time he'd spent in the lower district of Mistral had taught him that catching people off guards increased the odds of him winning if done correctly. That didn't apply here though and staring at the flames before the two teams didn't do much to reassure him either.

The man turning into was an odd sight, odd enough to lead to a smirk forming. But it was a short lived one one the gravity of the situation kicked back in before him. Nothing more for him to do other than to make some form of attempt at keeping her busy and that's exactly what he did.

Blaine wondered how his first experience leadering his new team would go. It seemed that he wouldn't have to wait very long to find out. Thankfully, his team seemed perfectly capable of handling things on their own, so he didn't have to spend too much time worrying over what orders he should give out. Speaking of orders...

Overhearing the leader of the other team give out his own, Blaine decided that that was a rather sound strategy for his own team to follow, as well. "Alright, team!" He called out. "Follow...what Lloyd said!" Not his best first line as a leader, but he was in a hurry. Taking his position away from everyone else while still keeping the clones within his range of fire, he pulled out his tonfas, which doubled as a pair of guns, and took aim, shooting two bullets at both clones each. He may have been catapulted into a completely ridiculous battle, but he wasn't going to let that put a stop to his thinking. "If any of you have ranged weapons, I suggest you test them on the clones now."

When faced with an unknown opponent, Blaine wouldn't fire randomly; He had to test out their defenses, see what was effective. And given the fact that both clones could manipulate fire, close-quarters was the last thing he wanted to do.

Ozpin continued to evacuate students from the campus. He would look back at Qrow and both teams as they fought Agni every once in awhile. He went to evacuate another student and as he was the student ran off toward the teams and Agni. "
Young man!! Come back here!!! It's not safe!!!" The boy ran off toward the others as they continued fighting Agni. Ozpin had debated whether or not to go after the boy or to continue evacuating students. He started to go after him when Brisa grabbed ahold of his arm. He looked back at the woman before she started speaking. "Hold on Professor. He can handle himself. He's a Beacon Academy student. We have to get the other students off the campus." Brisa gave him a nod before Ozpin took one more look before making his way to the other students. "Every student make your way to the helipads!!"

    ---Meanwhile---

As both teams fought Agni, Agni had taken a step back. "
Aww, you guys actually think you can hurt me!! That's so adorable!!" Agni lifted her staff and slammed down one end toward both teams. "Let me show what real power is!!!!!!!" Fire had erupted in a multitude of directions aiming at both teams. Agni had laughed as she saw the fire hurting the students. "Oh? Are you still up?? How unfortunate.......Give up now and maybe I'll keep you as a pet...if not...You'll be Iggy's dinner.."

Vice and Lazuli attacked after being burned by the fire witch. The one downside about have close range weapons was the fact that it was hard to get close to your opponent because of the wall of fire that both protected and harm them. That was when the two remembered that both their weapons had gun forms and thus they switched to them and unleashed a storm of bullets and grenades.

»"This girl won't stop talking, that is totally unattractive" Arian muttered as flames shot at him. Arian put his arms up, trying to cover his face from the fire. "Do not hurt this face. If you do, then no amount of bribing will make me be your pet... even if that would be totally hot. In more ways than one if you catch my drift." Arian tried to be cool about it, but damn did that hurt. While he wanted to keep his wits about him and not hurt the pretty girl, burning him called for retribution. Arian drew another arrow and shot it directly at Agni, nothing fancy but nothing to kill either. He aimed for her shoulder. Just enough to wound and show her that she couldn't get away with hurting him.
    ════╝

Auburn shot three more shots before going to reload her guns. However before she could properly get another shot off a blast of fire came her direction. Auburn grit her teeth against it as she was pushed back off the pillar that she was standing on. She did not hurt herself in the fall though. As she fell she twisted and rolled on the ground getting back to her feet relatively swiftly. Both Agni's were still around after all that the two teams had done. Perhaps if they focused on one then it would have turned out better but they didn't, mistakes were made and they were all paying for it. Auburn however wasted no time heading back towards Agni, flicking her wrists again to transform her guns back into the duel blades.

The only reason she became so good with the blades that she was was because of her father. Her weapons were smaller, but almost a mirror of what her father had, that meant that all he knew he could teach her without her having to figure out for herself how to make it work for her. While maybe that was not the ideal method. While maybe she should have learned her own style, this was what made her comfortable and confident, and after all that happened as a child, her father did his best to make things easy on her while making sure she was strong.

Dashing forward Auburn went for a low hit as she dived, rolling towards Agni and slashing at her legs as she uncurled from her position, getting to her feet behind Agni. Auburn swiftly tried to move out of the way after that, knowing it wasn't wise to fight an extended amount of time in close range to the fire user. While Auburn was supposed to be working with her team, her movements and plans were solo. While they could benefit everyone, since she couldn't find the courage to talk to people, she couldn't work effectively with anyone else, and had to do her best working around instead of with.

Lloyd's dodging had allowed him to avoid being incinerated by geysers of flame. The ground just behind him burst into an inferno and the blast sent him flying, his coat flapping his around him. The Huntsman-in-training twisted himself in mid air, landing nearly on both feet. He gritted his teeth. His Aura had taken a hit. A quick check of his Scroll revealed that he was forty percent down, just on the edge of the green. He rushed around the clone and who was clearly another Guardian, rolling to dodge a flame burst. The clone could project fire of its own, and they couldn't keep up with it. His blood boiled and he wanted to leap in, but his teammates were getting hit hard as well. They had to fight more carefully. Agni wasn't slowing down in the slightest and they'd all hit her. As he looked for his opening, he noticed something. The clone. She was creating the flame too. That's what had caught him off guard. While he was watching Agni, the clone had hit him with an unexpected pillar of searing fire.
"Hit that clone with everything you've got!" Lloyd shouted. Arian and Vice were already committed, but maybe BLAU could help he and Aalis. Lloyd sheathed Brand, and seized Fire with both hands, sprinting towards the clone. He rolled beneath a wave of flame from an outstretched hand and cut savagely into its chest. His Semblance was useless here, but perhaps somebody else could do something?

Blaine realized that his weapons seemed to have little effect. Curses! He fired them again anyway, this time at the clone.

Uva quickly kicked a button on her boots to activate the combat side of them and she began charging at Agni and kicked at her a few times. She reached to activate the dust, making a little elemental charge to her boots with ice, hoping that'd help cool her off a bit before she began her kicking again. All of Uva's attacks were done with her feet. Her arms were out in an interesting way in order to keep balance and to grapple someone if they tried to kick her farther away from them. As Agni went and threw some fire in her direction, she backed up and activated her semblance, causing the blades on her boots to extend a little so she wasn't so close anymore than she'd get burned alive, but close enough for it to not be considered ranged combat or anything of the sort.

"Ughh. This is starting to get boring. Let's just wrap this up before I fall asleep." Agni had looked to her clone as the clone started making her way back to the original. Agni had started charging up her staff with a wicked grin plastered on her face. "You kids were great toys for me to play with but now it's time for me to get rid of you!!" Agni charged toward both teams.

"You guys weren't even a threat. How disappointing...oh well! Time for you guys to go 'Night Night'!" Agni raised her staff once more as it began burning again. "AGNI STOP!!" Agni stood still for moment eyes slightly widen in surprise before turning toward the direction of that oh-so-familiar voice.

Brisa stood there hands clenched into fists while an expression of sadness had been painted on her face. The Air Guardian walked one step at a time toward her fellow guardian. "Please Agni, please.." Brisa continued to make her way over as Agni lowered her staff. Agni's eyes had been drawn to the student that had ran toward the fight. "Well,well,well...It looks like we have another toy for me to play with!" Agni readied her staff once more and charged at the student. Brisa immediately rushed to the student's side as she summoned fans in both hands. Brisa used both fans as strong gusts of wind blew out the fire from Agni's staff. She then immediately guarded against Agni's staff. "Agni! That's enough!!!" Brisa and Agni stared at each other for a brief moment before footsteps echoed toward them. "LADY AGNI! PLEASE STOP ALL OF THIS!!" Agni chuckled for a second before speaking. "Well, if it isn't little Fia!" The girl stood there for a moment while taking in all the destruction around her. "Fiammetta! You must leave! It's too dangerous!" The girl named Fiametta shook her head before shouting toward the two. "No! Not while Lady Agni is danger!" She paused before shouting toward Agni."Lady Agni, please! Please open your eyes and come back to your senses! This isn't you!" Agni stepped away from Brisa before making her way toward Fiametta. Staff in hand, it had seemed that Agni had the intent to harm the girl. Brisa immediately stood in her way, signaling Fiametta to go. Qrow rose up and got both teams on their feet. It wasn't before long, before Ozpin ran over to Qrow.

With the last student off in the direction of helipads, Ozpin made his way toward Qrow and the two teams. "
Qrow! Get the teams to the helipads. There is a helipad to take the teams to their first destination." Qrow had been a little confused but he nodded before opening his mouth. "Will the school be back by the time we get back? I wanna get these rugrats outta of my hair as soon as possible?" Qrow chuckled before looking at Ozpin. Ozpin, in return, chuckled before looking at him and speaking. "No need to worry. Just make sure you get them to the helipad." Ozpin looked over to the Guardians and back over to the students. "Take the other student with you as well. He might be able to help out." Ozpin motioned over to the student before returning his focus on the Guardians.

Moving out first, Qrow began guiding the students over to the helipads and away from the impeding fight. "
Move out now while we still got the chance." As Qrow walked past Ozpin, the Headmaster placed a piece of paper in Qrow's pocket as Qrow ran off with the students.
    ---------------------Meanwhile-------------------
Makani had raced over to Brisa to offer assistance. "
Lady Brisa!" Brisa stopped Makani in his tracks with just one command before ordering him further. "Makani! Take Fiametta and run!! This is no place for you two!! Get somewhere safe and find the other sub-guardians! Follow the others! Hurry!!" Makani's eyes widen before shouting. "But Lady Brisa!!" "THAT'S AN ORDER! NOW GO!!" Makani went silent before nodding. He grabbed Fiametta's hand and ran off toward Qrow and the other students. Brisa faced toward Agni as Agni spoke once more. "Never took you for the type to fight, Bri Bri." Brisa rose her fans in defense before speaking. "It's time for you to open your eyes Agni!"
    --------------------------------------------------------
Getting to the helipads, Qrow made sure the students got into the plane one-by-one. As the last student got to the door, Qrow spoke up. "
Braden was it? Showed some real courage back there. Ozpin said he wanted you to come with us. Said he saw potential in ya. Welcome aboard." Makani and Fiametta made their way to the plane. Qrow nodded to them as he let them go into the plane first before he went in. As everyone took their seats, the plane had started to take off and fly the group to wherever it was heading.

Lloyd watched with satisfaction as the clone of the Guardian of Fire melted away against their repeated, determined assault. They could win this! Lloyd darted in for his next attack, confident. His blade glimmered as he moved in to strike, the way he had been taught to. And then the words hit. They were... Mere toys to her? The trainee Huntsman's anger flared, like hell they were just toys! He closed in, sword raised and the world became hazy. Lloyd only remembered the heat, the pain, the buzz of his Scroll as his Aura dropped to nothing and the crack of his back against the pavement. He lay there halfway between consciousness and unconsciousness for some time... Time felt meaningless as his vision faded from nothing to a blurry vision of the sky, distant flames licking at the clouds above.

The touch of a course hand broke the stillness, and he felt himself being lifted up. His feet found themselves and he looked around. None of them were in a state to fight and Professor Branwen was getting everyone back up. His dazed mind saw the Guardian of Wind standing bravely between them and the fire witch that had done this to them.

"The stories..." Lloyd uttered dumbly, as two titans of mythology prepared to duke it out on the Academy grounds. But this was no place for them. Not students. He was a fool... A fool to think that mere students fresh out of Signal or wilderness trained at best could stand against the Guardians and their magic - True magic - Not the poor imitation that were Dust and Semblances. "The helipads, come on!" His own voice rang like a bell in his head, and Lloyd ran as quickly as his body would allow. He glanced behind to make sure his team were following.

Minutes later, they were all in one of the rotary planes favoured by the academy, and his head started to clear. The thrum of the rotors beat outside as they took off, fleeing from the academy to somewhere. Somewhere that wasn't Beacon, that was for sure. They'd all got back, but not a one of the other seven looked any better than he. They'd all faced hell at the hands of the Fire Guardian's flames, and only just walked out of it. Clenching a fist, Lloyd stood up and glared at his old teacher.

"What the hell was that?" Lloyd demanded, teeth bared. Looking at the greying teacher and his stubble was like facing his father again. Familiar territory. "That was the Guardian of Fire, wasn't it? And you sent us against her? We've all got some combat training, but what made you think we could handle her? Where were you, or Ozpin, or the other staff? Where was the Guardian of Air? Where was our backup?" The demands for answers flew easily from his mouth. This time, not asking why he couldn't fight but why they were sent to fight an enemy that they couldn't have defeated. Why they were sent on a suicide mission, and doomed to fail, when the most that he'd wager people had handled were a few stray Grimm or a thug in an alleyway.

Auburn was readying herself for another attack, looking towards the people who were supposed to be on her team, making sure that she wouldn't hit any of them. with her next attacks or get in their way. She might not have been closely working with her team, since she didn't know them, but she was smart enough to know to watch on how not to get in their way. Auburn was about to make another attack when suddenly one of the fire guardians disappeared. Auburn was a little confused about what was going on. Before she could really sort it out a blast of fire shot out in several directions and hit her with enough force to knock her back. With that one hit she felt herself hit the ground and everything around her began spinning.

She didn't remember backing out, but suddenly there was a hand helping her to her feet suddenly and Auburn was on her feet as people around her were yelling. It was all making her head spin more, but she was pointed in the direction of the helipads, and that was where she headed as she sheathed her weapons. Running as fast as she could, which wasn't that fast as she stumbled, head still spinning, she went for the helipads. Ahead of her she saw the leader of the other team and a couple other students. Auburn didn't take the time to look behind her to see who wasn't with them yet. She hated herself for it, but she was just focused on surviving, getting herself out.

Sitting down in the helicopter, Auburn pushed herself against the far side and kept her head down while the leader of the other team started to yell. She cringed slightly, always hating the yelling, even if it wasn't directed at her. She played with her phone wondering if she should call her father. Wondering if anyone noticed how similar her fighting style was to a great hunter who had dropped of the face of the earth thirteen years ago, and started to show up again only a couple years ago. Wondered if anyone noticed that her weapons were nearly identical to his, only smaller. She wondered if any of these students heard stories of him, not as a legend but as a hero. He was certainly her hero and from what she knew he was decently well known. Whether anyone would draw connections however was still up in the air.

Slowly Auburn's thumbs tapped on the keyboard as she started to type out a message to her father, detailing what had happened, questioning why he wasn't there. What was so important that he had left the school so fast and didn't stay long enough to help them. She still felt the pain from the burns that she received in that fight. A small part of her was as angry about it as Lloyd was, but she felt guilty for being angry. She couldn't bring herself to press the send button. She was scared that she was being too needy, or that it would give her dad a bad opinion of the school. By hitting that one button so much could go wrong. Perhaps he would want to know what was going on. Perhaps Ospin already contacted her father and was getting him to come help. Maybe sending this would just be redundant. So there it sat on her phone, not sent but not deleted either.

»Things seemed to be going well so far as they fought the woman. Arian had gotten over his not wanting to hurt a girl and just went with the flow. Clearly she as a threat and if he was to ever prove himself to everyone that he was worth their time, then he would have to work harder to show that. It all started here as he drew his bow and shot another arrow. A moment later one of the copies merged back with the other. That would make their job easier to say the least. With only one target then with eight of them focusing their attacks on that one enemy, she should go down easily now. There was a bit of a smug grin on his face, but Arian's smugness came too soon. Suddenly a burst of fire flew in his direction and he was not able to completely block it as he was knocked out rather quickly.

»Someone helped Arian to his feet, and Arian didn't question how that helped him regain consciousness. He just took the blessing as it came and didn't question Lloyd as he instructed everyone to run. It wasn't that it was necessary since they were already receiving instructions from someone in higher command, but he wasn't going to mention it. Arian took off running rather swiftly for just being up on his feet. Thanks to the wolf side of him it was a bit of a benefit for him to be able to run like that. While sometimes being a faunus caused a lot of troubles, there was also times it felt like a blessing.

»Once he was on the helicopter he listened as Lloyd ranted. While he was right and had every reason to be angry, Arian made light of the situation."What is the big deal dude. We made it through it, and we get to be known as the heroes of the school. It is a win win situation in my opinion." It wasn't that Arian was stupid enough to actually believe that, it just made him feel better about the situation as she lounged back like nothing was wrong, eyeing the quiet girl for a moment before turning his attention back to Lloyd and their so called teacher.

Blaine wanted to think that they were doing actual damage, but the word Guardians kept ringing in his head. He absolutely doubted that they, two teams of first-years, would be able to help in any possible way against this hopeless battle. And that's when it happened.
One second, he was firing away. The next, everything turned to black, red, and pain. He'd managed to pull through and reawaken, but by the time he did, it seemed that the battle was just about to increase in scale. Gritting his teeth, he found himself, along with everyone else, completely useless as they were called out to escape to the helipads. Blaine looked back to catch a glimpse of the battle of the titans, but he saw nothing as he finally entered the bullhead. By then, the adrenaline had run out, and he'd realize how his state was practically in shambles.

Blaine had to take a knee as soon as he'd gotten in the Bullhead, never mind sitting on a chair, he needed to calm himself down. He'd never felt that much...fear. Staring death in the face used to be practically a hobby for him, and he'd run towards it willingly, scared yet steadfast. But looking back on his battle, it didn't seem as if he were facing death. It just felt like he was fighting a demon of hell, something...unworldly. Taking a look at his hand, he was vaguely surprised to find it shivering. Nonetheless, he bit down on his tongue, clenching his fist tightly as he tried to remember his training. Deep breaths, Blaine... He could just barely make out what everyone else was saying, and from the looks of it, another argument seemed ready to break out. Lloyd was right; What in the actual hell were they expected to do? He made himself some room to join the conversation.

Standing up, he shook his head. "I would like to think of it that way, but I think we'd be more well-known as the first-years that managed to survive death by...magical deities." He'd also need some time to work out that last part. His life for the last few years had just been nothing but fighting on the streets. This was a serious ascension in his job that he wasn't expecting.

There was a brief sense of accomplishment as the flame clone had vanished before them, which didn't change the grand scheme of this situation nor the lack of confidence that Lazuli had regarding this whole situation. The few moments after the clone had vanished past and the next attack from Agni was sent their way. The large wave of flames took them all down with ease. Everything had started to go black and the last thing that Lauzli thought was Why didn't she start off with that attack. When he next woke up, he was in the process of being helped to his feet by Qrow and being moved a helipad. A little late, but better late than never.

After being welcomed aboard by Qrow and the plane's subsequent takeoff, Braden sat in silence as the other students began listing off their woes.

The first student seemed woefully ignorant of just how important a distraction was, or even that the teachers had been evacuating other students. Their 'backup' came from numerous places, such as the Hunter who had pulled the two teams away from that wreck, as well the Guardian that had stepped in to fight in their stead once evacuation was done.

The second student equally lacked perspective, though he was far more optimistic.

The third student seemed to compensate for the lack of the former at least.

"Well, I think it's important you understand you were all at risk there..." His face gave a small smile, betraying none of his inner thoughts. "...But I do think it's good to consider that you are all still alive as your friend said. Live to fight another day, and all that." He gave a somewhat sheepish shrug. "Though I admit I was no help at all. I apologize for that."

Makani sat in silence, pondering over the events that had just taken place. He had essentially abandoned his Master and left her to possibly die. He continuously worried about Brisa before the voices of the newly formed teams separated Makani from his thoughts. He turned his heads toward the voices. They had been shouting at Qrow, angry over the fact that Ozpin and Qrow made them fight Agni. Makani stood up, his face had lit up in fury. "Your backup was evacuating the other students!!!! Your backup wanted to make sure nobody was hurt severely!! Your backup is going against her own friend and by the looks of it she may or may not die! Instead of shouting how about you all be grateful that you're still alive while she's IN A DAMN LIFE OR DEATH BATTLE!!" Makani shouted toward the top of his lungs. The silence was so heavy that a knife could've cut through it. Qrow looked over to Makani before he spoke again. "Lady Brisa and Headmaster Ozpin are fighting for their lives to protect us and you're going to get upset about what happened? Lady Brisa may stand a chance but with her fighting skills it might not be likely! Be grateful you're still breathing before I take away what wasted air you have left in your lungs!!!" Fiametta grabbed his arm and slightly stood up. "Makani!! That's enough!!!" Makani looked over at the girl before sitting down, returning to his state of silence.

Fiametta looked over to Makani as he stared out the window. She turned her head forward before looking up at the teams. Seconds, minutes had passed of this heavy silence. Fiametta stood up and walked over to Qrow before facing toward the teams. "
Umm...If I could have your attention for a moment. I promise I won't take too long. Please understand that Mr. Branwen and the Headmaster had you go against Lady Agni was not for the reasons you may be thinking. There was no ill intent behind their actions. When I went to warn Makani, Agni was weak enough for me to knock her out when....when she was possessed. After she woke up, it was as if a surge of power had erupted within Agni. Ozpin and Qrow didn't know and in a blink of an eye, other civilians were getting hurt. They were at a crossroads. Please understand their actions." Fiametta looked over to Qrow as he nodded to her as his way of saying 'Thanks'. She then returned to her seat next to Makani before the heavy silence settled in once more.

»The arguments that were happening seemed stupid, even to Arian. The reply that the boy who apparently rather cared for Lady Brisa made no sense at all. He could understand being worried for the guardian, but saying that her fighting the battle right at that point was more of a worry than a bunch of students feel confused and scared because they just had to fight the same battle? Where was the logic in that Brisa was a guardian with training, they had just gotten there hours before. The fact that they were saving the other students though didn't bother Arian at all. I was simply how everyone chose to react to the situation.

»"Would you all just shut up already? What is done is done, we are alive, i am sure the fair guardian will be alright. Lets just count ourselves among the students and get to safety." Perhaps the first logical thing Arian said the entire time he was there, but he was starting to get stressed out by everything and Arian actually needed a break from it all. He tended to be a pretty chill guy, meaning he didn't like the yelling or tense atmosphere. Perhaps if they got to somewhere safe they would all calm down and he could go back to picking up chicks.

Sitting there keeping to herself, Auburn noticed another student sitting in the same place as them. He started speaking to them, well more the leader of the other group, who was pissed off clearly. Auburn chose to keep her mouth shut still. There was still nothing that she could say about the situation. There was nothing worth while to say at all anyways. Mostly everything had been said, and if she tried to calm the situation, it wouldn't work. They didn't even know her name, why would they listen to anything she had to say? Auburn glanced around and then looked to Qrow. At least he was a somewhat familiar face. She had met him once or twice with her father, maybe he could do something about this, or at least give her a sign if she should contact her father or not. Not being sure what to do made it hard for her to function properly. Not that she functioned well in social situations anyways.

Auburn's hands rested on her lap, no longer holding on to her phone. She stopped watching Qrow and started scanning the faces of her companions. She studied who was calm and who wasn't. Who seemed to be handling things well, and who was freaking out. It was was pretty easy to read her classmates, they all seemed to have their own opinions on the subject and weren't afraid to speak them, unlike her. Seeing how everyone interacted, Auburn started to wonder if there was actually something wrong with her. She never believed such things before, but she also didn't get out too much. Her father home schooled her, and they didn't really live in a big city at all. He had always assured her that it was fine that she was shy, but was it really? She couldn't help but wonder.

Lloyd immediately turned to snap at Arian after his first comment, who as before with the Guardian revelation from earlier was missing the point entirely. This wasn't about them being seen as heroes, they had only just survived. And there was nothing heroic about how they had just been systematically destroyed, whatever they tried. Something that his fellow leader Blaine vocalised. Another voice, one that he didn't recognise piped up, but he didn't pay it any mind. Before he could process much else, that Makani guy from earlier started on him.

The Huntsman-in-training whipped around to face him, meeting the glare in his eyes fire for fire. There was a deathly silence after Makani's outburst. His fists clenched. Brisa was in a life or death battle. And they weren't? But before Lloyd could say anything, he continued with his rant. The frustration was boiling over now. This guy didn't see it, did he? He was too focused on the Guardian to realise that they had almost died anyway. Why were they the distraction? Really? There were third year students at Beacon, people at least more qualified than them, right? A girl he didn't recognise called off Makani, and he relented. He could feel that the air in the room was against them, so Lloyd turned away and sat down. He listened as the girl - perhaps it was Fiametta? He had heard the name spoken earlier somewhere. - talked to them about what had actually happened. Far more reasonably than Makani had. He pulled angrily at the end of the red cloth tied around his right thigh a couple of times, then simmered in silence until Arian piped up.

"We're alive at least." Lloyd agreed gloomily. And they had ensured that others would survive too. He hated to admit that people who irritated him this much were right, but Makani and Arian were. This time. But if that guy talked about his breath being wasted one more time then he'd break his nose. He thought about talking through things with Blaine later. He seemed to get it. His team wasn't exactly filled with supportive individuals, and he couldn't afford to show any weakness. He had to lead them after all, and he didn't need their faith in him to be shaken. He thought about what to say from here, and managed to come up with a pretty bad joke. "So, was she hot enough for you Arian?" He ran with it, glancing over at his teammate. It might alleviate the tension and with how strung up he felt right now, he could do with everything being a bit less tense. At that moment, it occurred to him that perhaps that was the point. Is that why you do it?

Watching the verbal battle take place between Makani and Lloyd brought back some memories from Blaine's earlier life. He had seen this before, arguments, everywhere, in fact. In school, in the streets. It really didn't matter what the place was; the fights could happen anywhere. Blaine sighed. To think that the more negative memories of his life would bring back such a sense of nostalgia at such a time like this. His finger twitched towards his weapon, but he stopped himself, as the fight had already seemed to have cooled itself down.

Remembering that he was actually leading a team of four, Blaine looked around to take notes of his...teammates. Lazuli, Auburn, and Uva. The more he thought about it, the more he realized how absolutely screwed this team would be with him as leader. Blaine rarely ever fought with a partner, much less a team,; he'd always prefer to do things solo, his way, so how would this group of four possibly survive? Blaine didn't think he'd be quick enough to just give out orders in a pinch. Not only that, but a leader was supposed to inspire confidence. And as he believed that he'd demonstrated when they met, his social skills were...lacking. He could observe people, he could mentally take notes. But to really talk with them? To get to know them? Some leader he'd be, Ozpin made a mistake.

Looking down, he clasped his hands together in thought. If he really was going to lead this team, then, him being the optimistic guy he was, he'd force himself to make the best out of it if he had to. But if things really were to go over the edge...Blaine would be pushing himself out of his role. Surely, someone else would be able to communicate efficiently with the team, would be able to fill all the qualities needed of a leader. Even his fellow leader Lloyd was finally starting to make friends with the more...difficult member of his team.

And speaking of communication...There was a startling thought that rang out to him. Blaine couldn't recall hearing one of his teammates voices. Getting up from his seat, he approached Auburn. He hoped to Oum that this wouldn't end up becoming a train wreck. Other than the fact that she seemed even more socially inept than him, there was something else about her that seemed...almost familiar. Something he had felt earlier, but couldn't recall now.

    "You're Auburn, yes?"

Things were starting to calm down thankfully. Perhaps from the boy with ears asking for them to calm down, had actually worked. Or maybe it was just given up on for the time being. It wasn't a good time to be arguing like they were, they were still trying to get to safety after the academy, that they just arrived at in order to study, had been attacked. They rushed getting their teams just so that they could help with the situation, and besides that nothing had been accomplished. They barely got to know each other, especially her. Besides the couple hours sitting awkwardly in a room with another girl in a hood, Auburn had not really interacted with anyone else. She had spent time observing them and letting her anxiety get the better of her.

Speaking of anxiety, as Auburn sat, mulling over why things had calmed down, and still wondering about her part in all of this, the man that was supposed to be there leader approached. He didn't say much, clearly not all that straight forward of a guy, unlike the other two that she had heard talking a lot. He simply asked if her name was, well her name. Clearly he had some idea that it was since he had said it. He couldn't have formed that question without knowing that her name was Auburn. It was possible that perhaps he was just clarifying that she, not the other female member of the team was Auburn, but Auburn was pretty sure the other member had introduced herself, clearing up that question even more. So did that mean it was an attempt at small talk? Small Talk was not something that Auburn was good at.

"Mhmmm." Auburn agreed, slowly nodding. She didn't really know what to say from here. She wasn't good at small talk, she wasn't good as talking in general. Auburn tried not to completely shut the man out however as she looked up to him slightly. It was her attempt at encouraging him to continue to say what he wanted to say. She didn't speak much, but she didn't want to make Blake feel like he couldn't talk either. She liked to think of herself as a nice person, even if he anxiety was high. If the conversation had direction she usually could find a way to speak a little more. However she wasn't able to start or maintain a conversation on her own.

»At least they were listening to him to some extent when Arian asked them to, in essence, shut up and sit down. Much to his surprise Lloyd actually started to joke around with him a little bit. It was a big weight lifted off his shoulders when he heard the other man. Part of him didn't think Lloyd actually had that sort of sense of humour. Lloyd had seemed to be on the more serious side of things. He would rather face things head on than fool around, unlike Arain. That was what made Arian think that they were not able to get along. Perhaps this was a turning point for their relationship.

»"She was even hotter than I expected. Perhaps I need to try harder next time." Arian joked, trying to be inconspicuous about whether or not he was talking about seducing her or fight her. Either way it didn't matter. Arian chuckled a bit as he sat back in his chair relaxing. "So did anyone else notice the cheese man during the battle?" Arian asked as another way to have a more relaxed situation as they sat there. It had been a surprising change of events, and one they had not had time to really address until now.
