Don't be sorry about it, it has to be inspected every year that's the law. I'm a little late in getting it inspected, though.

I've never known of any Car inspection law

i know you have to get tags and stuff but xD

 

Well, you need an inspection sticker. You need to get a new one every year on the month of your birth. You also need a new registration and licence plate sticker in order to get it inspected. I got mine late because my registration and sticker got lost in the mail and I had to get new ones. I just got them yesterday and I'm getting my car inspected tomorrow. If everything is fine with it, you get an inspection sticker.
