"Heh..." Mellody sighed, lookingup at her new partner. "this... Matt won't know what hit him..."

 

"I should hope so." She smirked "Guessing we'll have to head back to HQ now." Lana added, sounding slightly disapointed as she retrived her phone from her back pocket. "I'll just check anyway, kinda think it'd be a good idea just in case we shouldn't for some reason or other..." L mumbled, flicking through her phones call list and dialing Near's number to check in. And to appologise for loosing her phone when he'd called.

 

He answered. "Hello?"

 

"Heya, it's L. Sorry, I kinda mislayed my phone for a moment then." She laughed nervously, cringing slightly in appology.

 

"It's okay. Are you really with Mellody?"

 

"Yeah, she asked me to come over to sort a few things out and we started talking. Not such a b*tch when you get to know her." She laughed.

 

"Really? Oh..." He started to play with his hair. "If you like her she can't be that bad...What were you two talking about?" He asked now crious(sp?)

 

"Err... Not that much, just a few things. Girly stuff mainly, boys, make-up and clothes basicly."

 

"But...no offensive...but you're not the girly type."

 

"You'd be surprised." Lana joked "Depends who I'm with, just started out me making a comment about her needing a boyfriend actually." She cringed.

 

"Oh....Okay then. Guess I'll stay out of this one if you want."

 

"Like hell I'm sitting out of this one. About time something major happened again."

 

"I thought so..."

 

"You know me, strong work ethic. Not. Anyway, should me and Mellody be making our way back to headquaters now this has happened or not?"

 

"If you wish to." He acciendtly dropped the phone. "Opps." He said before picking it up. "At least it didn't break..." He muttered under his breath

 

Lana bit down on her lip to keep from laughing at Near's clumsyness "Might be hanging around with you too much, sounds like my bad luck jinx is rubbing off on you."

 

"Maybe. I blame you....Now I bet I'll fell down some stairs..." He joked

 

"Ooh, that was cold." She giggled "I've only fallen down like... six flights of stairs."

 

"Ouch..." He said looking at his shaking hand "Must of hurt..."

 

"Not really, after the third time I didn't even notice. And you alright? You sound a little off."
