"I can't sleep because, like I said, I sleep on my back and I can't sleep any other way unless I collaspe. I can't eat because I'm worried and I'm worried because... As pathetic as this is, I'm afraid, and I worry because I'm scared... It's a, well, confusing web..."

 

"That isn't weird at all. It's normal really"

 

"I guess..." She sighed.

 

"But seriosly. Try to relax somewhat"

 

"Kinda hard to do right now..." She laughed weakly, nervously brushing her hair from her face.

 

He nodded and rested his head again on his arm on the arm rest

 

Lana faded out for a second before realising she seemed to gazing at him. Snapping out of it quickly , her hand slipping off the table edge making her fall comicly backwards. Knocking the cake of it's tray as well, knowing moving would make no difference she watched as the cake fell towards her. Luckily it almost missed her and only made a large patch of chocolate iceing on the carpet and down the right hand side of her face.

 

He stood up and picked up the tray. "I'll clean it up"

 

"Ow..." Lana mumbled as she pushed herself up "Man.. That wasn't even worth the humilliation. Not even a smirk." She laughed nervously, trying to make it seem as though she'd planned the whole thing. Failing massively at achiving an anywhere believeable act.

 

"so you're not okay?" He said getting napkins to clean the cake up

 

"I'm okay... Just... in a fair amount of pain..." She cringed

 

He cleaned most of the mess. "you should really be more careful"

 

"I know sir." She sighed "But... like you said, I'm kind of a jinx."

 

"It's okay. It is kind of funny with you around. Before every day was boring" he said without looking at her as he finished cleaning

 

Lana laughed slightly "Thanks sir..." She said wiping a figer through the chocolate iceing on her face and eating it off her finger, pulling a face as she tasted it. "Foundation and chocolate doesn't taste nice..." she muttered with a small giggle.

 

"i agree with you"

 

"Oh yeah? You tasted it then?" She laughed.

 

"Once. Didn't eat for a while after that"

 

"How on earth did you eat foundation and chocolate?" Lana laughed.
