"That means leaving London and heading into Kent I assume." Lana sighed.

"Bugger..." Lana sighed "Alright, any ideas where in Kent?"

 

"No. The directions weren't very clear. We'll figure it out when we get there."

 

"Right... So train or something down there then? Though they're pretty packed these days..."

 

"I don't want to risk going through any public transporation. I've already made sure we got some vechicals ready."

 

"Of course, I was just thinking out loud."

In the windowsill of the hotel room she was currently occupying as her own room Lana was perched on her toes and hugging her knees, gazing out at the damp and dull countryside outdoors. How she hated the place, everywhere she looked there was something that triggered a memory she'd rather forget. She hadn't even had the nerve to turn on the television and see if any of the shows she used to watch where still being broadcast. Nervously she began to bite down on the edge of her thumb as her eyes once again took in the greyness of outside.

 

Near went to check up on Lana and was now standing at the door. He hestiated a bit before knocking

 

Lana jumped in surprise as she was knocked from her daydream, falling off her seat and onto the floor with a bump "It's open..." She called dragging herself up with the aid of the curtains.

 

He came in "What was that thump?"

 

"That," Lana explained with a sheepish grin "Would of been me falling off the windowsil."

 

He sighed. "Are you okay?"

 

"I'm fine, I do this all the time. Remember?" She laughed "Used to it by now."

 

"I know...Just making sure."

 

"I know sir." She nodded graciously

 

He smiled slightly "Okay then."
