Return of Kira: Part Two-Betrayal

"Not too old unfortunetly..."

 

He sighed and turned it off before closing it

 

"See?" Mellody asked turning back. "She was lost before you..."

 

"Well...at least she doesn't do that anymore."

 

"I wouldn't be so sure." Mellody sighed. "We can't really say can we?"

 

"No we can't..."

 

"Exactly.." Mellody sighed. "We really need to make sure she's okay.."

 

"Whenever I ask her she says she's fine."

 

"Who knwos what REALLY goes on in her head."

 

He shrugged.

 

Obviously oblivious to the conversation the two had been having, and to the fact that Near had seen the evidence of at least two of her attempts on her own life and numerous images of some of the worst injuries she'd done herself in recent years Lana dropped back into her vacated seat. Her hair seeming much better groomed then before, she'd actually spent the time she'd been gone hurriedly straightening it for the first time since she'd come out of the coma.The actual cut of her black hair showing as it was designed to and the longest part of her fringe, as always, crossing over the bridge of her nose. She'd given up on stopping it doing that years ago so she just brushed it aside. "Sorry about that." She said cheerily. "It was starting to bug me."

 

"Looks nice like that."

 

"Thank-you." Lana smiled.

 

"No problem."

 

"I miss much while I was gone?"

 

"Nothing really."

 

"Nothing interesting? You two didn't try and kill each other?"

 

"We were just talking."

 

"That's gotta be a world first, you two actually played nice. And no one got hurt."

 

"Be thankful we were'nt alone for any longer..." He said, staring at the tv
