    Suggest Higurashi.

Oh wait that might not be a good idea.

Make her watch My Neighbour Totoro afterwards. That way she'll get both happy, sad, realistic and unrealistic.

Also Howl's Moving Castle. That one's not a total mindfuck and it has all those girly cliches that make girls want to squee.

I found it to be a massive pain. It's difficult to follow parts of it unless you've already read the book.

Yeah, it was kind of hard to follow (and I've been looking around for the damn book too), but at least it's not as crazy as most animes.

If you friend doesn't mind shows that are...well, perverted, I suggest Rosario + Vampire. In a way, it's like Twilight (which would attract her), but the stories are more fun, the plots are well developed, and each character has their own distinct personality.

The argument of "she might think all anime is like that" is a dash ridiculous, that's like if you, after finishing Twilight, thought all books were like that.

Anyway, if she's into Twilight I'd suggest Vampire Knight. I'm sure that there are a lot better animes out there but that would appeal to a Twilight fan.

I'd recommend something like Ouran High School Host Club or even Toradora if she's a romantic type.

You should've told her to watch Bible Black.

    It's totally romantic.

Good news! She's going to think about my offer. And by that, I mean it's going to be even easier to rewire her brain from Meyer to [Insert Anime/Manga Artist Here].
