I'm Atheist. Religion is stupid imo.

 

First off, where's the discussion part?

Secondly, please don't bring religion into things. It ends badly, every time.

This is the discussion. What's your religion? It shouldn't be locked...

 

I have to agree with you there because i think Religion is just a division.It's one of the two base divisions which i think cause all the suffering of the world.Religion causes division and maakes people think they're above other people which causes racism and discrimination.I told my religion teacher this and she seemed to be very interested in my theory.

I'm luthern but I stopped going to church so I don't go there every sunday or whatever lutherns do.....

I'm just saying that in my past experience, every time someone makes a topic "discussing" religion it turns into a flame war.

Although, maybe this won't be so bad, since that one kid got banned.

 

As long as there's no religious bashing, it's fine.

I'm technically Roman Catholic but I haven't been to church in about 2 years. Still believe in the Gospel though.

I think I'm Christian. I've never been to church, so I consider myself agnostic, if anything.

 

Well I was raised Catholic, but growing up I've sort of just dropped religion. Personally I can't make any sense/be bothered with it. I'm never really sure what to call it, perhaps Agnostic? Anyway, I just don't think of myself being part of a religion at all.

how does it feel being the way you are and someone comes up and says "Your religion is stupid" or "It's stupid to not have a religion"

And no, i really don't think being atheist is stupid, I have many friends whom don't have a religion and they are the same person when i found out... ​

 

I am not religious, which I guess the term is Atheist. I get annoyed though at how people of religions always think it -is- a religion. It isn't at all because there is no believe in any deities etc. However, I am spiritual and meditate and such with Buddhist and Daoist practices and <3 martial arts.

P.S. Cuppy, Atheists listen to religious people tell us we are condemned, going to Hell, heathens, dishonest, liars, have no morals etc. In the end, if the worst people say is 'I think religion/lack of religion is stupid', this will be the friendliest religion discussion ever. I see the point you were raising but it probably won't work as you intended.

Just because we have a religion, doesn't mean it's stupid, it just means we all have our own beliefs and opinions. ​

C'mon, act mature. If your going to start a religion thread, at least don't go around saying religion is stupid. I used to be that way, but I learn't going around and calling someones beliefs 'stupid' is just insulting and makes people mad.

I'm Christian and I don't call Athiests 'stupid'. Everybody has their own beliefs.
