Kio crosses his arms. "Because I can get you out of here! Trust me, it's a lot worse to die because of Dark Essence. Now come on!" He says and starts heading towards the exit to the city.

 

Your not a good guy are you? i was just watching you talk to vincent.

Live gets to the city and see's the city in flames. "come on. i missed all the fun. well i can still cause damage"

Koian watched to city burn from the building she sat on. ''Hmmmm... this is boring..'' She wined to herself. She looks around to see the others with Kio. ''No bother..'' Koian said looking at the mess. She lets her wings out and flies up. She hovers high up in the air above the town. Watching the mess and hearing the screams she sighs.

 

Kio turns towards the others. "Right now I'm the only way you can get out of here, aren't I? You might want to trust me."

 

"Trust is a hard thing to come by these days" Vash glared at Kio "It's not given out freely. Move, now."

 

Kio chuckles at Vash. "I don't ask for much trust, just enough to get you out of here. I do, indeed, control the Essence killing the city, but yet you haven't been killed, correct?" He raises an eyebrow at them and smiles.

 

Rikku looked at Vash and Kio with confusion "What are you talking about?"

 

Kio looks at Rikku. "Do you trust me, just a little?"

 

"So you admit it then, killing so many." Vash turned and started walking to a different exit "I'd rather be dead than fall into whatever trap you have planned"

 

Kio moves in front of Vash again. "I admit I have the power of Dark Essence, but it isn't really me killing them, is it? No, its the Essence, and it's creatures." He smirks. "I haven't gotten anything planned; I'm not a schemer. Schemers try to control everything in their little worlds, all I do is just take their plan... and make it backfire."

 

Rikku shook her head slowly when Kio asked her and looked toward Vash.

 

"I could care less about what you do and how you kill." Vash turned again, continuing walking "stay out of my way"

 

Kio thinks for a second, then smiles at them. "I'm like a dog chasing a car; I wouldn't know what to do with it if I ever caught one, I'm just doing whatever I feel." He puts his hands on his hips.

 

"Wait up" Rikku ran behind Vash and cringed, Kio's smile seemed creepy to her.

 

"All actions have consequences, you seem to have yet to learn that" Vash passed Kio and kept walking

 

Kio frowns and folds his arms, looking down at the ground and his voice not so insane and creepy anymore.

"What if I told you, I had lost something to a Reject... something precious..."

 

"Everyone losses something important to them at least once in a lifetime, irreplaceable things that you feel broken without."

 

Kio stares at the ground motionless. "... And I'm still paying for my actions, every minute of the day..."

 

Reiji looks at Kio "What did you lose, and why...are..you..helping..us?" he struggles to say.

 

Kio looks at Reiji with calm, sad eyes; nothing like the ones he had earlier. "...... A person... close... to me." He flaps his wings slightly. "I'm helping you because I know I can't kill innocent people forever... I can't follow those kind of orders forever."
