In the online walkthrough (the only one I can find) after defeating Maleficent, it just says "After a long series of events you return to the Grand Hall. Save and head up through the door. You are in another mini-game where Sora runs forward and shoots beams from the Keyblade." I'll need allot more help than this, at the end of the mini game, there's a big hartless that shoots purple balls at you, and I can't seem to dodge them... any advice? thank you.
Yeah, that guys a big pain in the ass. I was playing on a lower level and I used the leveling up system to my advantage. You can't really dodge his attack, so I suggest just jumping around in the air. With these boss like creatures in this minigames (the ones who have more than one bar of life) I suggest just using the lock on (holding A or R-trigger). With patients, you'll be done in no time. You should be ready for the next step though. I'll give you this helpful hint for after that battle. Spoiler After you beat this guy, you have to beat the Darkside again. He's a bit stronger, but the same strategy as in any other game that he's in will work. When that's over, you face Sora's Heartless. Block his attacks and then attack him while he's open. At one point, he'll summon Keyblades from the sky. When that attack is done, there will be a yellow circle on the field. Get inside the circle, and that will allow you to use a command that basically turns Sora's Heartless into a Shadow. He's much easier to take down at this point. There will be two more battles with him, this time he'll spawn clones though. The clones are weaker than the original, so I suggest taking them out first. Just repeat the whole yellow circle thing both times and that guy should be killed.
Ah ,the Invinicble Heartless, I too had trouble with him but here's you do. Don't dodge, press Y to guard and you block his purple spheres and his swipe attacks, if you have any of the powers, Blizzard Arrow, Thunder Rain, Aero Shield or Fireball, keep those as well for more damage, I'd recommend Blizzard Arrow or Thunder Rain, save them for him and not on the others.
thanks guys, I've managed to get to castle oblivion... are there any more awkward bits in the game that don't allow you to use and curas or hi-potions?
If I remember correctly, there is one part of the game. It's when you use the Hollow Bastion room-card. I suggest doing the rooms in order, but that's only a suggestion.
