PS3 Slim confirmed

    Just keep your PS2 and get a PS3. It's not a big problem. I did it aswell.
    No PS3 has a memory card slot. So you'd probably be lossing all your saves.

    Also I'm pretty sure they will release PS2 BC next year when the 10 year cycle for the PS2 is over.

    How could something be wrong with the PS3 Slim, when there was nothing wrong with the PS3 Fat.

    I'd recommend everyone who doesn't have a PS3 now to get a slim in September.

    Why would you get a Slim if you already have fat one?
    I still have my fat PS2 and fat PS3 and i'm not going to buy either Slim version. It's still the same. It's for people who don't have console yet or just want a smaller console.


    Yeah well it has more HDD and needs less electricity and it's less expensieve now.
    People always like to have smaller things.
    It's still the Playstation 3.

    I was reading on 1up today that Sony has basically stated that there will never be PS2 backwards compatibility on PS3 ever again.

    Sure the PS2 is still selling...but still. How many people traded in their PS2 for a PS3 so that they wanted to have one system to do everything. I don't see why they can allow PS1 backwards compatibility then. People should go buy a PS1.

    Shady marketing like this pisses me off.

    My dad brought this up another day. He was saying how now we might actually get a PS3. Sony also said they might have a trade in offer where you could trade in your PS2 to get credit for the PS3.
