You have to use Fire Energy when the symbol is Fire, DCEs can only be used when the Energy is colourless.

And evolve it into Typhlosion.

By discarding one Fire Energy attached to Typhlosion, I do 50 damage to each of your Benched Pokemon, which KOs Cyndaquil and leaves Growlithe with 10 HP.
