Pokemon has no sense of time... *facepalms*

I randomly decided, 'oh hey, pokemon black and white anime?

I don't watch the anime, but I figured 'meh... let's just see how the first ep of this is and revisit my childhood for a little bit...'

and BAM!
one of the first lines the Narrator says is: Pallet Town, home of 10 year old. Ash Ketchum.

So... wait... he's done all these journeys etc... (also think the anime start 1996... it's been 15 years out time, but none the less)
Even after all of this... he is still 10!

What is it with Pokemon?! Does their age system work super differently or something? Maybe After Ash has won one-hundred badges he'll be allowed to turn 11 huh?

I mean seriously! How messed up is that?!

Well...it's true, things from the Pokemon universe don't age.
Just look at our own Misty, she's still twelve. :c

 

Ash has yet to gain a level as he has been training his Pokemon instead of his own self.

It's actually all a series of dreams that Red has while he's sat in Mt. Silver. A.k.a. "What if I was happy-go-lucky and talked".

 

It's the same with the Simpsons. I remember thinking "Woah, Lisa is older than me." and now here I am 8 years older than her.

It's messed up -.- Maybe Ash forgot how to age through all his training. Or can you imagine butch Ash who has gone through puberty and is a real man...

Exactly. I mean, these shows kind of annoy me. They don't even age 1 time in 30 years. I can really see: "So, Ash is the youngest Pokemon Master ever, made many friends in the journey" Then shows him celebrating his 11th birthday. ^^

 

you know whats even weirder is that in the Pikachu meets Pichu special it's Ash's and Pikachu's 1 year anniversary... so where was Ash's birthday?

I bet it's going to be revealed that Ash is some sort of Chosen One and that he's not aging because the Powers that Be need someone with the mind of a ten year old to do whatever the hell needs to be done.

That one's actually debateable, since that whole "OMGYOUHAVELATIOS" thing in the last fight of D/P/Pt seasons.
