Nintendo Pokémon Sun/Moon

Hopefully the information will be the the starters evolution.

 

Starter evolutions are often not revealed until close to the release date, unfortunately. Chances are that the info will be the official announcement of the boxart legendaries' names.

 

Ah, this supposed "leak." I can only find one article about it and its source was just a link to the Japanese page. Don't take it seriously until someone actually corroborates the claims with real proof.

 

I swear if they somehow end up with issues and can't put up the information at that point and we have to wait another day.

But, let's not jinx it, and hope we get a ton of information. After all, the game is coming out fairly quickly

 

Dang. Well, hopefully they are okay looking. I've sort of written off the Water-type until I see his next forms.

 

Considering it looks like a circus seal, yeah, I'm not touching that thing either, no matter what the evolution is. Actually, it used to be generation 5 that had my least favorite starter pokemon designs, but I'm giving that honor to generation 7 now. These are just really "bleh"

 

It's always a mistake to base your opinions of the starters on their first forms. Many of them are intentionally designed to be a bit doofy so as to highlight the idea of them maturing alongside the trainer over the journey. A ton of people used to bash on Oshawott when it was first revealed, but a good percentage of them shut up as soon as Samurott came out. I'd imagine the same will be true this gen.

Personally, Rowlet is currently my favourite starter Pokémon of all time. That could easily change once the evolutions are shown, but purely based on what we know, I absolutely adore the smol owl.

 

I wouldn't consider it a mistake, since so far every pokemon I wasn't a fan of in the base form I wasn't a fan of in the evolution form. Rowlet is probably going to be what I take just because it's the only decent looking one out of the bunch. The cat just looks like something you find in the back alley. Though maybe it'll evolve into a nicer-looking cat, but I can't use things if I don't like the design of them.

 

so far i'm disappointed about the starters (probably getting the owl) and the legendary pokemons are so-so, but the features look pretty nice. we have 11 new pokemons to catch; wanna guess the dual types they'll get?

 

I'm definitely getting Sun after that preview. I'm not keen at all on the whole pokedex thing though. Nintendo already was making the movies that had the obnoxious talking pokemon, why do they have to add them into the game? I'm sure I'll get past it some time, but it's just weird.

Looking at the map of the region, I'm guessing the Pokemon League is the building in the middle of all the islands.

To explain some of the text in the Magearna image; it basically says that people who attend the new movie will get a disc that contains a QR code which can be scanned with Sun and Moon to obtain Magearna at level 50 in their game.

 

Okay, seeing that Battle Royale really makes me want to try it. Being able to fight random people online was fun, but having a free-for-all with 4 people sounds really cool

 

A bunch of new Pokemon were leaked onto Youtube, followed shortly by a video on the official Japanese Pokémon channel revealing each of them as real!
In particular it seems that two of these Pokémon are the evolutions of Grubbin, who was revealed at E3.
