Hey, shouldn't we voice our own characters?

 

I didn't mean that Sforz and I would voice everyone. I just meant that as a whole, we (the participants and developers of this glorious escapade) might be able to give the whole VN voice acting.

 

Ah ok, because there has to be a character that has a terrible voice actor (me being that one. Unemotional all the way)

 

I'd need someone to voice Catbug.

 

I could try my hand at it. And if all else fails, we could try and give him lines that are in the show or something...

Well I mean "Why would you do that?" Is an easy one for if i'm defeated.

But the little guy is totally lackadaisical, he'd need a bunch of not taking this very seriously lines.

I'd like to make a few suggestion for character select music. In my experience most fighting games have character select music.

I like two the most, just because I don't think a KHV-based game of any kind should be taken too seriously. One is a good fallback, three seems cliche (might just be how many times I've heard that song quoted) and maybe another version of four would be better (personally, I love "I Wanna Take You For A Ride" but that version isn't suited to a character select screen imo; maybe this one?).

MUCH better. I always liked MvC2's version of it, and given what we're using it for, this makes it even better. Loop could be less choppy, but I'll soon fix that. >:3

 

I'd figure we'd all could make suggestions for the select music. That's why I posted more then one. Also I'm thinkin' we need main menu music as well.

 

All right, so, I kinda went on radio silence for a bit but basically per Plums's suggestion I've decided to make a social group instead of a Playground thread, and most if not all of you have been invited. Thought it'd suit our needs better. Discussion hub is live, if anyone is interested. I figured this thread would die down eventually and we'd need somewhere to keep postin' updates and suggestions and such.

As far as voice talent, it was my intent to get as many people as possible to voice themselves, but I will happily fill in for anyone who is unwilling or unable. I can only voice males, obviously (sadly ;_; ), but it seems like Cat's gonna have the ladies covered as well. We can do extra voices too, such as Vivid's posse or my own strikers. Or Catbug. Or Heckboi. POINT IS WE GOT DIS.

Don't worry, I'm working on the soundtrack as we speak. I've played enough fighting games to know what all we'll need.

 

I will obviously voice myself considering I regularly share my voice with the internets as it is.

Good idea! I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head with character selection, but I'll put my $0.02 regarding the main menu/start screen.
