Kojima and Nomura are both working on a Sony console exclusive at the moment. And they both helped on their Multiplatform game.
They both seem to like Sony more.

Actually, they were made by teams owned by Square.

Not to mention that many of Square's SNES RPGs are considered to be the most influential RPGs ever released. Chrono Trigger, FFIV, FFVI and Seiken Densetsu 3 are all just as, if not more influential than FFVII.

Yeah, Chrono trigger, FFIV and FFVI are awesome, never heard of Seiken Densetsu 3, the point here it's that the series was only popular on japan but when FFVII came out it became popular in all world. i Like FFVI more than FFVII but we have to admit that was FFVII that made the serie famous, since then SE made the main serie of FF for the Sony consoles for 2 generations, now SE decided to risk with multiplatform.

Can we just back to the topic?

Yeah, Retro Studio's games aren't Nintendo games. [/sarcasm]. If the team is owned by a company, it is part of the company.

But that's beside the point. The point is arguing that Square should only make games for Sony based on customer loyalty is rather childish.

Loyalty to a major business partner means **** when you can more than double your audience simply by not limiting yourself. Square left their partnership with Nintendo for a generation because the technology to make the games they wanted to make was with Sony and they are going multiplatform because they know that limiting themselves to the worst selling console on the market is downright stupid.

Here's the thing, multiplatform didn't hurt the quality of games like Devil May Cry 4 (Previously a Sony exclusive), Guitar Hero (previously a Sony exclusive series), Bioshock (originally Microsoft exclusive), Oblivion (Microsoft), Soul Calibur 4 (Sony), Armored Core 4 (Sony), Eternal Sonata (Microsoft) and Lost Planet (Microsoft). What makes you think that FFXIII is going to suffer based solely on it being multiplatform?

But Square don't got his own console xD, the company that made the game can decide in what console they want, but the Publisher can edit to other consoles if they want, like Mass Effect, it's made by Bioware but the rights of the game belongs to Electronic Arts, so if EA wants to port the game to other console, they port (other example was the Orange Box that was ported to PS3 by EA with help of Valve).

I am a PS fan but i think PS3 need to step up and buy some more exclusives. the PS2 was the "Ish" compared to the other 2 systems in its generation, u cant tell because "Aallott" of people still has PS2 and as we speak are playing them. the PS3 had the capability to blow out the other 2 systems for a second time it just needs more original games. But i aint gonna lie the X box multyplay platform is splendid truthfully why else would you choose the Xbox over the PS3 (besides complaints about the controllers and other small BS..).

Because most people don't have money for both, so they side with one and stick with it to the bitter end. More than that though, there's always this one game exclusive for one system that gets really popular, and a lot of time that's all the people on one side or the other care about.

...That's how I see it, anyway.

In any case, I'm more of a PS3 person, but I own neither an Xbox360 nor a PS3. I just think DVDs are prettymuch done for and would rather go BluRay.
Really, if I got a PS3 I'd use it as more of an entertainment center than a gaming console =/.
Is there a BluRay player/adapter that can connect to the Xbox360? If it's cheap I'd consider that instead. I don't really keep up with these things.

...I suppose, but isn't it all just a matter of taste?
