Persona: Mask of Innocence

Hattori sat against a tree and started sketching the first thing that came to mind.

 

"Suki, ask everyone if they'll meet in the shrine soon." Arisa asked her sister. "There's something Hattori and I need to tell them."

"Of course, Nee-chan." Suki said.

 

Hattori put away his sketchbook and went inside.

 

Suki recuited everyone around into the shrine and Arisa joined Hattori. "Who should talk first? You or me?"

 

"I think you should first."

 

Ovan reached them and wondered what was going on.

 

"Everyone......." Arisa turned to the group. "I finally discovered the truth. I was subject to a project called Nyx. A project to create the most perfect killing machine. I was the perfect subject for it." She turned away from everyone, Yukari, Fuuka, and Mitsuru stared at her, wide-eyed.

 

"My father was the head of the project, as well as Project Hellstrider, which I was the subject of. Before birth, I was infused with the essence of the persona Lucifer and was born half man, half persona."

 

"I thought it would best for everyone to know." Arisa said. "That I know, I feel I should have gotten the persona of the Death Arcana."

 

"But you aren't a killing machine. You are a kind person." he said.

 

"Mine should have been the Devil arcana, seeing as I've got the essence of a devil in me. We got the arcana we have for a reason though."

 

"Ovan's right, Nee-chan!" Suki said. "Besides..... look at everyone who has accepted us!" Arisa hugged her sister.

 

"We're all your friends."

 

"Your father said we would never be accepted, but here we are, surrounded by other persona users." Arisa let go of Suki and she ran to Ovan, smiling. "Suki even found someone to love."

 

"Yeah." Ovan said. "And she helped free me from my darkness."

 

"My dad was wrong about everything. He truly got what he deserved in the end though."

 

"What happened to him?" Fuuka asked. Arisa answered, "He got ripped apart by Satan, my new persona."

 

Ovan's eyes went wide with shock.

 

"He had Arisa's parents killed and had her and Suki brought to the lab for experimentation. He also had my sister killed because she prevented my power from manifesting."

 

"Oh, but still, taking someone's life is different from killing shadows." he said.
