    Obligatory Amaury thread is obligatory.

See? I can do this too.

It is really hard to tell if you were ignoring him, or if you really cannot read into social cues.

See, now I know you are ignoring.

But were you ignoring him? How do we know?

    It is a mystery.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

I responded to both him and you, so how is that ignoring?

You may speak in response to the fact that someone else spoke without acknowledging the meaning behind their words. Most of your responses are reflective, self-centered; not selfish, but you have yourself as a focus. For instance:

You assumed that he meant it in a positive light, probably because you actually think your habits are great.

You saw that he mentioned you, reflected on the "game" he made by copying you, and deemed his post awesome because he was imitating you without thinking about his intent. You took it as a boost to your ego and your response did not address him, but only the game you made in your head.

    Another:

Instead of reading into my intent or taking what I said seriously, you greeted me. Greeting someone when they have already spoken to you on a particular point can be almost rude, because you did not respond to what I said, you only responded to my presence in the thread. As if what I said did not matter, but only the fact that I was here did. It doesn't leave much room for response for me. That is what I meant by ignoring.

What I can take this analysis is that you do not know how to read social cues. If someone mimics you, you assume it is a compliment to your greatness, and you compliment them back.

I suppose the mystery is solved after all.

Actually, I didn't deem it anything nor do I think that my threads are great (I don't think they are anything but a thread -- in The Spam Zone, anyway). I responded that way simply to be silly.

Again, I was just being silly.

Actually, I don't think it is a compliment nor a remark. I know this is The Spam Zone, so I don't take simple things like that to heart, regardless of whether it's positive or negative. It's only when it gets too much into the negative territory that it becomes a problem for me, regardless of what section it's in.

However, many times people mean for it to be taken to heart. Not in the "oh no I am a terrible person and I should kill myself" way, but in the "maybe I should try to be less annoying" way.

You cannot use silliness as a defense forever.

    That is truly frightening.

This, it is both very lazy and very annoying.
