Paris, The City of Love

Jordan got out of his car and raced towards her, helping her up and out of traffic.

 

She groaned in pain after she had stood up. But once she was out of traffic she just fell onto the soft grass, taking in deep breaths. Her eyes closed, trying to calm down as much as she could.

 

He picked her up and carried her to his car, gently putting her in the passenger seat and getting in the drivers seat. He drove her to his house.

During the car ride, Teressa just tried resting. It calmed her more and she didn't want to be in any worse of a situation. She gently took off her jacket, which had hurt a little from the soreness on her fragile body.

 

He pulled into his driveway and got out. He opened her door and picked her up, carrying her inside. He laid her down on the couch.

 

He looked up at Jordan.
"You don't have to carry me around everywhere. I'm not totally useless," she said, looking around.

 

"Sorry." he said. "I didn't know if you could walk or not. I mean, you were thrown out of a window and into the street."

 

"I'm not sure if i can walk myself, but i can at least try... But not now, I still feel sore," she said. She looked on her arms at the markings and frowned.

 

He pulled up a chair and sat facing her. "So, do you want to talk about it?" he asked.

 

She looked up at him, her eyes calm. She looked as a normal girl would look at a wonderful person.
"Thanks for being so concerned... But, if my father knew i would tell anyone, i don't know what he would do.... Brad would probably try to protect me.. But.. he hasn't in a long long time," she said.

 

"I understand." he said. "Do you want me to get you anything?"

 

She shook her head.
"If you have any pain medicine, that would help," she said.

 

He gave her two pain pills and a glass of water and sat back down.

 

She took them quickly and set the water on the table next to the couch. She looked up at him.
"He wasn't always like this though," she said, looking down at her folded hands.

 

"What happened to make him abusive?" he asked.

 

"My brother ran away for a year....I got stuck with the stuff he was supposed to do, and my own stuff. I'm trying to earn myself enough money to go to college in a few years... My brother was supposed to work at my father's workshop, and... he just lost it. My parent's first fight was right before my brother left... " she said.
