"But I have to approve of him." he said, laughing.

 

Tammie put her hands on her hips. "Oh really?" She asked and grinned. "And what makes you think that? I'm older than you, remember that..." She laughed again.

 

"Well, someone has to look out for you since dad isn't here!" he said, grinning back.

 

She rolled her eyes. "I'm nineteen. I think I can take care of myself..." She grinned and looked at him. "Okay, so maybe I go to a bit too many parties..."

 

"Yeah, I'm nineteen too, and I don't need to hear what you do at those parties." he said. "Besides, you're only a few months older than me."

 

Tammie giggled. "It's nothing bad. All me and my friends do is dance and talk. What else is there?" She made an innocent expression. "And I know, I know... but a few months can make a difference!"

 

"Not that big of a differance." he said, rolling his eyes.

 

"Sure it's not..." She said and grinned. "Ah, you know I'm just kidding, Jordan..." She said and smiled at him.

 

"I know you are." he said, smiling at her.

 

Tammie smiled back. "Does your neck still hurt?" She asked softly, obviously still worried about him. Sometimes she tended to be... overprotective.

 

"A little, yeah." he said. "But if it hurts too much, they'll give me pain pills."
