OOC: Okay. I just wanted to give you a way out and have whatever you had planned for a month still be doable. But if you want to continue with the current timeline, I'll respect that decision as well.

However, I was still expecting Luxord to at least fight back after one punch...:huh:

 

OOC: *sigh* I can see why Base doesn't want to bother having Luxord do anything now. That scene was totally dominated by Zack ridiculously and anything that could have happened didn't because of the stupid god like powers. Moving on any way. Yen Sid did nothing. We go with Base's suggestion to moving on to just keep peace at this point. :/

IC:

Mewtwo casually looked at the doors, then at Repliku. Deciding that they needed a guinea pig for the effects of fleeing the courtroom, he glanced at the doors and windows again. His eyes briefly glowed blue, breaking the bonds around the door. He sat down, and continued talking to Repliku in the moving time stream.
"Whatever you choose, I think that whatever may happen to you as a result of escape will be far better than sitting here, letting others continue to decide your fate.
"Enough of that though. If you did escape, what would you do? Where would you go? Assuming that you had to keep a low profile, naturally."

Repliku scratched his head in thought. Becoming unfrozen but of course never realizing they in fact were, he just talks as if nothing happened. "I don't know what I'd do if I escape. I figured I would just want to wander around and get to make my own friends and have my own life, help people maybe and just roam about seeing a lot of places. I think that would be best and then I wouldn't have to worry about being insignificant anymore or being forced to have others make choices for me. I want to see the worlds." Repliku would be happy to get out of here. He hated the feeling he had inside and how people had gotten away with dismissing the Org members responsible of crimes against him all because he was a creation. Yet the two lawyers for the Org could champion their rights to exist and that they were so wronged?

Repliku furrowed his eyebrows, annoyed he had to actually -still- sit through till stupid Vexen's trial. He then gave a nod. "You are right. Whatever happens, even if I died again as a result of getting out of here, at least it would be better than these stupid lying jerks that have no Hearts and yet have more of a right to exist and be considered poor pitied people than I have a right to have defense against them." He exhaled sharply and frowned. "What gets me is this...Those two lawyers defend the Organization and they are obviously Nobodies themselves. They don't -care- or have Hearts, are PARTS of people and yet they have more rights than I do, somehow, when we ALL were created. None of them are seen as worthless tools and dolls and yet they aren't anything more than I am."

"The difference between me and them? I was made too well. They have memories of hate and frustration, fear and anxiety. They use them to manipulate others and also have reactions to things based on those memories. I have -REAL- feelings and I do hate and feel very frustrated here because I'm treated like a stupid doll while these two lawyers who are Nobodies that seem to be quite soulless themselves, are championing a bunch of killers that don't care how much they hurt others. I would just love any of the Nobodies to show they had anything more to them than I do, because so far I haven't seen it. Not a one other than Luxord came close to even seeming like he still had a soul and a conscience at all. At least he admitted he was wrong. The other two...they didn't care at all and the two lawyers make like they are just misunderstood...while painting me out as a doll, which is Larxene's stupid thing. I am really upset and angry, but at the same time, it will be over. I just wish things were more fair but life isn't fair obviously and some people that shouldn't even exist apparently have more power and rights to live than others do who were victims to them. I may be a creation but I'm independent. I was not made to be like a normal replica with no self. I'm not...a doll. You may be the only person here that understands that. So if I die, don't forget what I said if you wouldn't mind. It's like my last words or something."

 

OOC: Geez, I said I was sorry! What do you guys want, for me to drop out? Because at this point nothing's getting done waiting. I already said that I didn't RP much, so I didn't pick up what the plan was. And seeing my mistake, I was seriously trying to make it up to Base, but if you really feel that strongly about it, I'll leave.

OOC: Of course I don't want you to leave. Really if we can't voice an opinion that something was overdone, there's kind of a problem. Would you rather we said nothing and didn't try to recover and move on, harboring negative feelings about it? It was surprising and well, took me off guard and it's something that if we said nothing, the issue would keep going on and on in later events. All we're asking here is for you to please pay a bit more attention when it comes to Zack doing things because it dominates other people's actions. You are doing a great job RP'ing here, so don't just give up when there are some issues, ok? This is over any way now that we at least got it out. No one here really wants to hate on anyone or boot anyone out. You are a lot of fun to RP with so don't go giving up. :(

As for Demyx's charges...I have to go to the first page and look them up and then check if they are even applicable now etc so give me a moment to present them.

 

OOC: A bit blunt, but I understand. :dead: Alright. I was just expecting Luxord to at least put up a fight. Then I would've had Zack allow him to escape and let Base do what he was planning to do in the first place. I wasn't expecting Luxord to go down in one hit...:huh:

BIC: Naminé's eyes began to flutter open. In a weak, dreamy tone, she started muttering, "Not the feet...please, Vexen, stop..." After a few seconds, the reality returned to her waking mind. Sitting up and rubbing her eyes, she was surprised to see herself sitting next to Repliku. She blinked a few times before realizing that she had been somehow transferred from one side of the row to the other end. "Hi, Repliku. What..." She massaged her forehead. "What happened? How'd I get over here?"

 

OOC: Sorry that it came off so rough. I can be blunt like that. Man, we are having a horrible storm right now that just started out of nowhere but I'll try to post this quick.

Harvey stood up. "The charges for Demyx that I will be pressing are the following."
"Theft of the Olympus Stone
Aggravated Assault (Olympus) - Sora
Involvement in Assault on Hollow Bastion/Radiant Gardens. (charges to be discerned through investigation.)."

Sora looked over at Namine. "Welcome back to wakey land. You went out cold from being tickled...I think."

Riku smirked. "She got away from Roxas one way or the other."

 

Janexna had overheard Repliku's speech, it was hard not to miss, especially as she wasn't doing anything right now. And she didn't know whether to roll her eyes, or say something to make him understand. She didn't know what the hell he was complaining about, honestly, it was like he was asking and should be more pitied than the Organization by her, and Xelax, but she never even said once that she considered him a doll, but rather, enunciated the fact that the members at Castle Oblivion perceived him that way. Which was correct. And the focus was not even on him in this trial until Vexen was up, so of course, they weren't going to start defending his own rights when he was not a defendant. All this drama because of something...just one, tiny word that Larxene, of all people, said? No, really. That was the only real mention of him being a "doll"...well, she forgot if Xelax said anything...she couldn't quite remember how the trial went. Hell, she did get charged with the crime against him in the end, and she let that happen because it was right in her opinion, so what was his problem? Marluxia had no hand in him at all, other than knowing of his creation and letting the rest do what they needed to, especially as Vexen was the one mainly in charge of him, who didn't even listen to Marluxia in the first place if not threatened by the Superior. Just because he was responsible for the castle, didn't mean he had to control what the members did on their own free will without him present. They didn't even speak to each other, which was why she was confused by the claim Harvey made in the first place of Repliku being controlled by him when nothing, absolutely nothing, proved that he was. By that time, Repliku was even rebelling. The only moment they interacted through the whole thing, was when Repliku attacked Marluxia and he retaliated. It was understandable, of course, but in court, it still wasn't the first blow made by the Graceful Assasin. And the charge could not stand wihout show of evidence that Marluxia, did indeed, forced him to do things. She played the games and Chain of Memories enough to know that. In her opinion, that was fair. Marluxia knew his wrongs, he just didnt care for them, because he can't, and is was why he thought it was pointless to argue his case. Larxene didn't hide her wrongs or make excuses either except for that lucky charm, it was just her view of the situation, and it was in her personality not to got sob a sorry to anyone.

He also didn't see the charges the prosecutors sometimes placed were ridiculous, in which, she will argue for. Seriously. Blaming Marluxia for a journal that he did not know existed, or had any prove that he erased it at all? Come on, now. If she was so adamant that the Organization was so innocent, so right, so guiltless, than she would've been dragging ALL the charges they placed on all members until the debate got tired out, in the way of Mr. Power, and would not be understanding enough to leave some on. Her job was to get the charges that the members did right on the dot, instead of putting random add ons that had nothing to with it, and that's what the hell she was being paid for. She's a attorney, the Org. were her defendants, she wasn't just going to sit there and let charges get in so lightly. And understanding is something that's missed in these trials. These humanoid Nobodies are obviously not taken in consideration about who they are and what they can't feel, and how this connects to how they can't see their wrongs even with their memes. Emotions, like guilt and regret, drive a person's decision on what is right, and what is not. They had lost that understanding. Putting logic into a simple explanation that KH is, is liking beating a dead horse. In the game, the heart is a important essence, and since the world and audience has viewed that one without a heart is cold and unfeeling, robotic, then that's the symbolism of Nobodies that is presented. At least, that was the point shown by their actions and character, as far as she knew. And there were a few rogues, like Axel and Demyx, that didn't fully give in to the fact that they couldn't feel. Demyx because he was pure that way, and Axel because of Roxas and his future experiences....he will probably be in the same train of thoughts as Saïx if he hadn't got that, without a conscience. After all, he did kill Vexen and had Repliku do the dirty job of killing Zexion all without feeling any remorse and smirking. Unlike the rest, he was lucky to have that enlightenment with him.

And it can be proved in her own human world scientifically with the fact of a hypothalamus, which is a part of the brain that make them feel emotions, or connects it. Maybe she should introduce that word to them and have them research it to get the facts straight. As well as the fact that Repliku missed that yeah, the Org. were not suppose to exist, but yet they do. It was even quoted somewhere...maybe in Chain Of Memories. They were seen as nothing, worthless, even Ansem viewed them that they could not exist and have no right in these worlds, so it wasn't like Repliku had it so damn bad and the rest didn't have anything to deal with that was the same and had to suffer through. Roxas himself for demonstration, fought for his right to exist and live his life and not just be Sora, or be forced to go back into him because that's just the way it was. The problem was that the members in Castle Oblivion didn't see Repliku with the same situation, in the way he was treated, so that was clouded. So yeah, soooo sorry to say that the Organization is misunderstood. She was positive that if they weren't up for a goal to have a heart, the whole lot of them would do no harm and just live life emptiless, roaming. Except for Xemnas, perhaps. It was stupid that they were considered threats to society after the job was over when they had nothing to work towards anymore. So, if there were any other humanoid Nobodies out there, they were considered threats without doing anything as well until they had a chance to have a heart and help to further it?

Repliku and the Nobodies existences were different as well, the same concept, but different. Repliku was made by hands, built, and experimented, which is why Larxene called him a "doll" and referred to him as one by definition standards, that she explained. Yet even while she said that she didn't deny the fact that he had his own sense of self, it turned out to be like this big, personal nuclear blow or something. It was like she said before....with feelings or no feelings, or that he had his own thoughts, did he think Larxene was going to have mercy on him either way? No. Furthermore, Nobodies weren't "created" the way he had been, and in fact, are part of someone else that has just strayed. So in his view, if a person lost his finger or a organ, that means that the said finger was just "created"? It was just a part of someone that got cut off. It applies. Unless he's talking about how a male and female get together to do the naughty to create a fetus that turns out to be baby, and that the finger was part of that creation, then she didn't know where it went. It was like Emblem Heartless will be considered typical creations, for example.

But as it seems, her and Xelax were held against everything as if they didn't have their own reasons, just like the prosecution, all because they were defending the group. So, was this discrimination? And apparently, her and Xelax were oblivious to the Organization's wrong doings, which was complete bull. Was that how they appeared like? Of course, she couldn't really speak for her partner, but considering he had agreed to the charges for Luxord and the rest as it were for what they honestly committed despite his arguments, than he had the shared sentiments. And by what she's seen, people and fans actually feel and pity Repliku. So again, what the hell is he complaining for? For her, now was not the time to do feel pity and she had to concentrate on the task at hand, which was the Organization, and her work as a attorney. And now, she needed to get on to Demyx.

She didn't get the third charge...didn't they get that over with Luxord? Otherwise, wow...Demyx was simple.

Zack raised an eyebrow as the charges were read and couldn't help but smirk. "That's it?" He gave a sideway glance at Demyx. "Boy, either you've been behaving better than most of the people in this courtroom or you're just really boring." Cricking his neck a few times, he took a deep breath and looked at the prosecution. "Since that's over with, who's up first? Another drunk? The skeleton guy over there? George of the Jungle?" Zack couldn't help but chuckle. "There should be a bunch of witnesses for this guy, right? Or are you calling the defendant himself?"

Meanwhile, future Zack had no idea what to do now. He couldn't show up in the courtroom. No one else was supposed to know he was here. In fact, if memory served him correctly something caused him to come back running in, but he had never figured out what it was. Not knowing what else to do, he decided to walk back into the courthouse and visit the Tech shop, avoiding the courtroom altogether. He knew how it was going to turn out, so there was no point in interfering if he could help it.

"Looks like I blew a circuit in my gloves," he muttered. "No time like the present to fix it." So, for the next few hours, he'd spend his time away and out of the courtroom.

 

Harvey gave a nod. "That's all. Demyx is probably the least charged member of the Organization. As for who to call to the witness stand, the ones to contend against him would be best so either Sora, Donald or Goofy are the best options since they were who were present at the moments where Demyx was seen involved." This wasn't going to be that big of a deal in the end as the first two charges definitely would have to stick but at the same time, they were not to the level of any other crimes the Organization had committed. He did ponder if Pika could handle the testimony and he could back it up and it would let the little yellow guy get back in the game and the charges were easily enough to prove. He had removed the 'attempted murder' charge on Sora because it was pretty unfounded and there was no proof of the first fight...and the second, both had entered combat willingly in a duel fashion so any charges there were just not plausible though it be a declared sort of duel to the death. "I would probably suggest Sora for the first testimony." He turned to Pika. "Your thoughts?"

 

Pika_power stood up, angry. He was not pleased with his face, and he was looking for a way to vent. Unfortunetly, Demyx was the only one availible as an outlet.

"Objection! I add the charges Aggravated assault of Phil, Attempted murder of Sora, Donald, Goofy and Jiminy on two counts, once at olympus when Demyx tried to drown them, and the other at Hollow bastion. I also add the charge of Attempted murder/aggravated assault by proxy against Sora, Donald, Goofy and Jiminy in Hollow Bastion, when his personal underlings, known as Dancers, attacked them."

Pika_power eyed his reflection warily. Keeping a close watch on the image of his face in the glass, he began to painstakingly trace his facial lines with the stylus, making sure to erase Luxord's graffiti.

He added as an afterthought, "Also, on charges with Luxord, Theft of yellow skittles and defacement of... my... uh..." Pika_power tried to think of a different word, but failed miserably. "...Face." he ended with lackluster.

Mewtwo listened carefully to Replliku's thoughts. "I have but one more question; Are you grateful to Vexen for creating you?"

OoC: Well, I always seem to miss the boat, but I always continue as if I hadn't anyway, so I might as well follow the trend.

BIC: Zack sighed. Now he knew why the judge was always silent. Probably from the headaches. "Alright, the prosecution has brought out its charges. Now who's coming up to the stand?"

"You know..." He looked at the pipsqueak with the marker on his face. "With some good scrubbing and strong soap and water, you'd get that out eventually. Remember Jigglypuff?" Zack adjusted his sunglasses. "What? I'm allowed a Pokémon reference once in awhile!"

 

OOC: Problem. Luxord would be traveling to worlds where characters who are already in the courthouse live. Which means I'd have to control characters Pika has control over, and that would start a controversey over characters....

DF, could you select a different punishment from the ones I gave you earlier? Because I'll already be able to do what I was going to do in a different RP, so it doesn't really phaze me, and I'd be able to do something different.

I edited the options and added two new ones from the ones I had to get rid of. Just pick a new one, please.

 

Harvey gave a nod. "I will add on there the Assault on Phil as well. However, the attempted murder charges I think are not really founded as there's proof that Demyx was supposed to beat on Sora to liberate him of his disposition...and the second fight, both were in a duel so neither could really be found guilty since both agreed to it. However, if those are what you want to try to prove, you can. So I'll change mine to...

Repliku shrugged. "I don't want to regret existing even if it was just for a short while. I don't even hate Vexen, but am just more angry he let things end that way. The only reason I'm mad at the Organization at all is because of how they just do things and are allowed to claim a technicality that they don't have emotions. They -do- have memories of emotions and a conscience..a soul. So that excuse really doesn't hold up. I can forgive Vexen, Marluxia and Larxene but none of them care about anything but themselves it seems so it doesn't matter if I would. I'm just sick of hearing lies. I don't want anyone to have to just die, no matter how angry I am. I'm just tired of being a 'creation' and not considered a person so that the two lawyers there can remove anything about me from charges. I don't think it fair at all. ...I am glad Vexen made me. I didn't dislike him until he caved into letting Larxene and Marluxia do whatever. I trusted him."

 

Janexna sighed, now her brain was drifting away from her previous thoughts that were still swirling. Oh man, that's what happens when the contemplating is heavy. She needed to hear the case, though it didn't seem that it was so complicated. Taking a huge sip of her water that still remained due to Zack, which was honestly nice of him despite his motivations, she stretched her arms all the way up as well as her body, before standing on her feet, the chair sliding on the floor as it was pushed back. Now...what was it...ah yeah, of course. Trying not to yawn, as she was still in a daze, she figured she would start as Xelax seemed to be quiet. Was this her first time going well..first?

"I wouldn't really called that Aggravated Assault," Janexna stated, and thinking she needed to make that particular thing clear, she added in explanation, "There was no bodily harm or any hurt. If you've seen the battle, if you can call it that, the water figures simply stand there jumping or...swaying, or moving around. Even when Sora is not attacking, they don't...do anything. In fact, it seems more like practice and Sora just had to take care of those things, but he wasn't facing any threat, really. And while Demyx's sitar can be used as a weapon and as a musical instrument, or something to summon water clones with, it wasn't really used to attack as there was no injury involved. I'll provide the video if need be."

Honestly, she would call that a practice session, like someone training at a gym of the sort, but she didn't know where that situation fell. It was definitiely not Aggravated Assault though.

"Can you expand on that precisely?" Janexna asked incredulously, not sure what exactly they were talking about, or where does it go in. She was obviously going more for lower Nobodies, which weren't always on the Organization's orders and have their own freedom until called (where else do they go?), but she still wanted to be certain. "Are you talking about the water clones or lower Nobodies? And does it connect to the yet still to be investigated charge?"

She blinked for a moment, before saying, "And speaking of that, any sort of what has been investigated? Also, does that concern the army that Sora had to fight on the cliffs and open ground? Or something else?....yet, weren't you suppose to know the exact charges before coming to court and have them at the ready?

She really didn't know what was up with the investigation. In court, from her training and teachings, the investigation and evidence is collected up before the trial, which is why investigators work hard on gathering them up enough to convict in time. If it's not there, then it's not there, and the judge or the whole court won't wait until they research when by this point, it was to be simply presented to see if it was enough to prosecute compared to other facts. The Bio and ID channels on her cable TV that show various investigations also helped on that.

She needed to ask Xelax, who seems to be more accustomed to how this court worked, if they are allowed to investigate in the middle of a trial.

"Erm, give me a moment," she said quite sheepishly, sweatdropping as her hands were ruffling in her suitcase where the various documents were. After Larxene and Marluxia had left, she did a bit of a clean up as the table was quite a mess, but she had ordered and filed them accordingly. Smirking as she finally got what she was looking for, she took Demyx's folder out, and went to get the assorted papers. She breathed. "Alright..."

"I put the first two in because while one can explain a reason why Phil is knocked out to fill a missing space, the other is better translated and organized while it doesn't have that particular sentence," Janexna presented, and a part of her did want to show the one where the Nobodies didn't appear, yet, she was fair, and it would not be right. Besides, it didn't look like Demyx did so in ill-will. The thing is, she wondered why the other translation missed it. "I will change that to Assault on Phil by Proxy, if there are no disagreements." Demyx ran away first...it was still a assault either way no matter what the reason was as Nobodies did appear in his wake. Whether he summoned them and they acted on their own after he left, or that he ordered them, it was cast in shadow. She went with that they acted on their own only because it didn't fit with the scene or Demyx's reaction and action, both of them.

What she didn't understand was the part of Saïx. Was he simply playing with minds by saying that Sora is to be turn into a Heartless to taunt Axel, something Saïx warned the Keyblade wielder about before, yet....the redhead didn't even know until that point. Hmm. She could've used that in Axel's trial,yet is better that the prosecution knows now before writing up the charges. Less things to argue over. "By the way, Numer 3 was just a extra to show Demyx's thoughs on the whole order, but...um, it seems this battles Axel's too automatically. We'll ignore the Axel excerpt for now, unless the prosecution will like to note that down for the trial next up."

Composing herself, she also went to say, "I also showed the Phil and Demyx scene, for people to compare with what Phil said in KH2, to what actually happened, which made it sound worse or in a very negative light. Is to see that not everything is what it seems, and that before acting, there's a need to have knowledge of the story itself from both sides..." She directed this at one person in particular, yet did not make any signs as to whom. From what they were discussing before all this that she now reminded herself, she also asked, "Are you still planning to bring Sora to the stand still as a witness or...what?"

 

Harvey sighed. The Defense really did not have a right to dispute the charges before the testimonies even began. The Offense could name whatever charges and were required to prove them and have a need to alter them as the case proceeded so he wasn't sure why she was voicing an opinion already. "With all due respect, the charges are to be investigated through testimonies of probably Sora and also Demyx, since they would be the two most reliable testimonies involved to the case. Evidence such as what you say about Aggravated Assault on Phil can be interviewed then and not before. Also for the record, Aggravated Assault implies that weapons were used and people could be grievously harmed, which was the case in the first fight at the very least between Sora, Donald, Goofy and Demyx. Any weapons used to force conflict can move an Assault to Aggravated Assault, whether the other group has them or not."

He turned to Pika. "Do you want to question Sora and then I will question Demyx when it is his turn up?"

 

"Sorry, Janexna... but Mr. Birdman gots a point." Xelax said with a sigh. "If you got a problem, settle it during cross examinination." he said, then he took a sip of his coffee. He then spit it out... realizing that he Godot's formula 107 was slowly turning his subcontious into Godot.

 

OOC: @Base: Um...could you at least link the punishments or just mention them? I don't want to have to go back through thirty pages looking for what you edited...:wacko:

BIC: Zack could feel his hormones raging as he saw Janexna stretching her arms over her head. Did girls know that when they do that, it accented their chests out nicely? Fortunately for him, he kept his head straightforward at all times, only following her movements with his eyes behind his mirrored sunglasses.

Zack wondered about these extra charges that were coming up. And the evidence that was provided was the Prosecution's job to present first. The Defense had to wait until the Cross-Examination to counter. But he did find the evidence as an interesting read...

He shrugged. "It seems the defense played their hand too early," he said. "Not a good strategic move in my opinion as it gives the Prosecution ample time to counter, but hey. Whatever floats your boat." He leaned back in the judge's chair, putting both his boots on top of the desk. Zack wasn't going to repeat the same mistakes as Erkz and fall asleep every few seconds. "So, are we bringing up Paintbrush or Mullet Head first?"

Kairi's eyes widened. 'Paintbrush Head?' The judge was calling her boyfriend 'Paintbrush Head?' She didn't know whether to burst out laughing or go all 'Chuck Norris' on him...

 

Pika_power was not happy, but resisted the urge to counter Janexa's argument. Instead, he battled against the judge. "But your honour, you forget, even if it comes off with water, I need to make that effort. He had no right to deface... I mean do what he did! It is not legal!"

"Would you rather I take it off?" Zack says, cracking his knuckles greedily. "Because I have no qualms in doing so..."

Naminé could feel slight tremors run throughout her body. It was pathetic, but being as ticklish as she was, it came to no surprise that she'd faint like that. Especially the feet. She couldn't go five seconds without losing her mind and bladder if she were tickled there. To take her mind off of the tingling sensations that were still residing along her nerve endings, she occupied herself in trying to figure out how this trial would end...

"The witness stand looks a bit lonely out there in the cold," Zack said impatiently. "Is there any warm body that'd be filling it sometime this century?"

 

Pika_power was taken aback for a second, then doubled back, full force. He flung his tail out, and pointed straight at Zack. "Judge, I am well within my rights to report a theft and a defacement charge. Despite whatever powers you may have, the position of judge means you are required to review every charge fairly. Threatening to take my face off is not a fair way or reviewing a charge. In fact, it is not reviewing the charge at all! Luxord has attempted to make no repairation to me, and considering the circumstances, I would say he could be held in contempt of court. So are you going to do your job, or would we be better off consulting a magic 8 ball for whether someone is guilty or innocent?"

Roxas pointed at Pika_power, and muttered to Axel, "Do you think the bailiff is going to go for groin, or face? Looser has to get a round of sea salt ice-cream!"
