Kairi giggled at Riku's understatement. "It beats being bored, though. Right?" Of course, she was still slightly worried about the bailiff's outburst. After being calm and collected, the simple presence of the Cheshire Cat made him snap. What was even more frightening to think about was that Zack seemed to have been holding back his true strength as not to hurt any more than that had already been caught in the crossfire.

Riku smiled. "You have a point." He then looked forward to see all that was going to happen at this time.

Repliku flattened his hair as the electric sensation finally died down. Man, that was one pissed off guy when he got mad. He was still kind of cool though.

Yen Sid glanced around the room and shook his head. This court room obviously had a problem with discipline. Then again, half of it was a bunch of kids and the other half were the Organization XIII...what was scary though was that mostly it seemed the beings acting up the worst were not so imperative to the cases at all. He made a good notion that next time, therefore, he may react to get some things back to a state of order.

Pika_power glared at Harvey. "Are you stupid? We have completely missed out the first Hollow Bastion attack! Luxord was there! We need to press on that!"

Turning to Luxord, he asked, "Luxord, did you attack Hollow Bastion with Nobodies, at any point in time? If so, please describe the course of events."

Glancing at Sora, Pika_power muttered, "prepare yourself, I am going to ask you about the same thing, once baldy over there is finished."

*OOC - Soooooooooooooooorrry, I had 5 whole pages to read before I caught up. X.x I still haven't figured out what times you guys post, and it's not like I sit here all day clicking the refresh button. XD I'll try to come more often though. It's evident that I need to.*

The judge snapped out of his daze. Pika_Power and Luxord were going at it so uninterestingly he had started to daydream. He yawned, and checked the Court Record.

    "2 Counts of Theft.
1 Count of Attempted Aggravated Assault
    1 Count of Coercion.
    1 Count of Assault.
1 Count of Grievious Bodily Harm.

As it stands, these seem to be the most justifiable charges.

Also, let me ask you something. Why debate the summoning of a heartless, when it is not a crime. Creation of an Emblem Heartless, is indeed a crime, but the summoning of one is not. And I can safely say that Luxord did not create that Heartless. Why?"

He made an epic point in Luxord's general direction.

"No scientist has the capacity to speak in rhetoric. None."

    He then turned towards Pika_Power.

"Listen. The majority, including your partner, are extremely annoyed with you. If you keep this up, you will be penalized. Also, I will not allow you to call anything from the Hollow Bastion incident onto Luxord, unless you can prove that it wasn't entirely orchestrated by Xemnas. Which you can't, not yet."

Erkz coughed, and twirled his hammer. Suddenly, the card he'd set facedown a few pages back glowed a bright red. He frowned, and flipped it over. To his surprise, he saw the Cheshire Cat, stuck in the card. He scratched his chin, as though mulling something over. Finally, he took the card, and without letting anyone see what was in it, tossed it in a nearby drawer.

"There is no escape from the card. Not unless someone lets you out..."

  5. "It seems so," was what Janexna muttered to him about the creature prosecutor, taking back her arm, wondering what is it that the Pikachu wanted. Luxord obviously didn't like the pokémon, as neither did Larxene, nor Marluxia, she could tell, maybe more members if he kept going, as well as the whole court room, considering everyone else was thinking the same thing of it being over, and the only thing that was stubborn enough to break 1,000 pounds of brick walls was him. So really, he was on his own. Chances are that the Gambler wouldn't respond, and if he would, it will be in riddles again. And it was just really time for Luxord to get out of the stand, he said what needed to be said, and the answers were shown. However, she didn't have the power to do that except for the judge now that the Nobody had been forced on the stand after he left.

All in all, Mr. Power wasn't making himself look good. She was extremely annoyed and kind of pissed off at this point, which took a lot of nerve probing to get her there, and even more so once he went on about making Luxord answer his questions, and putting Sora back on the witness stand. She couldn't believe that he was calling Harvey stupid, or asking such nonsense of him on that sort of mentality. Birdman had more brain capacity and more style than the pokémon can ever hope to accomplish, and it was in good taste if he followed in his footsteps, or shut the hell up otherwise. Her patience was wearing thin, and while she lasted this long, she had half a mind to slaughter a certain something. Every person in the room was ready to go, and she knew that's what mattered. Rolling her eyes as she gave a tired sigh, she rested her elbow on Xelax's shoulder casually, hoping that the judge was going to give his verdict. And right on cue, he spoke. OMG. OMG. OMG. OMG. THE JUDGE HAS SPOKETH. She wanted to cry. Really. She did.

Janexna did try to listen to what he was saying, as well as the charges, but she was too happy to think much else. It was finally ending.

Harvey was beginning to wonder if the Judge was also paying attention. "Your honor, the counts are more than that."
"You are counting 1 aggravated assault with the cannon when it was Sora, Donald and Goofy who were fired at. That's three."

"Also, the coercion was not just at Sora but also at Jack Sparrow who had to go along with things because he was cursed, and Donald and Goofy who had to also accompany Sora."

"Other than that, the charges seem in order." He turned then to Pika. "I know you want to charge him for Hollow Bastion, but at the same time, that was led by Xemnas so technically the most that could be added onto it would be following orders, which the hard charge must go to Xemnas as he was leading that. Because we are charging each individually, and not the Organization as a whole, and Luxord would be considered a soldier in that capacity, we can't charge him with it accurately. I do know it exists but could not see a way to make that one stick on anyone but Xemnas who orchestrated it." He didn't really want to make things hard with his partner but it just was impossible really to do such a thing.

OOC: I'm sorry that Axel, Xigbar and Xaldin has not been around recently, my lovelys. I suddenly find myself to be SUPER busy with the current research of my thesis, and research for my class debate on the most -stupidest- matter/subject. Bleh. :ranting: Just when I thought I'd have some free time after my damned exams. :sideways: Anybody wants to help me burn down my school, are welcome to do so. [IMG] Anyways, if Axel, or the two clowns, are needed for any reason, ICSP, *TwilightNight*, and Pika_power, any one of you, just let me know at KH-Vids Law Firm!, I'll come by . . . I'll see you lovelys soon, hopefully.

    The judge chuckled.

"Wrong, Mr. Birdman. The coercion charge was for Jack Sparrow's sake. Sora and the others chose to help him of their own volition. You cannot charge Faxcord for their willingness to help."

He scratched his chin, and then looked at Birdman again.

"Also, I do believe that Cruxdord fired the cannon at the boat... which would mean that any damage incurred to Sora et al would fall under collateral damage, and the aggravated assault would be changed to destruction of private property?"

    He straightened his glasses.

    "Your thoughts Mr. Birdman?"

OoC: Can someone explain how the cat got sealed? It was outside under a mushroom, not even in the gavel's range. As such, I am going to free it.

"Luxord was there, and went along with the attack. Reports show he laughed at Sora. I am allowed to hear Sora's testimony for evidence, right? Now is the time to prove Luxord played a part in it, not in Xemnas' trial. As for the scientist deal, he is a special scientist. The exception to the rule. Besides, he can still make a heartless, even if he is not a scientist. He is the only one with the motivation to make a heartless with those properties. While the charge of coercion does apply to Sora. It was his duty to help, as he was the keybearer. He had to stop Luxord meddling. Donald and Goofy were ordered to go with Sora by king Mickey, so they had to help too."

The cat sighed. He had hoped the card with his image on it would be found by Zack, not the judge.

Zack was seriously wondering if maybe the judge was just an avatar, a shell being spoken through by the real judge who was watching and listening to the whole thing via hidden cameras and microphones. That would explain his long pauses and the comatose states every five minutes. But what was really interesting was the fact that for some reason, he felt slightly more cheerful for some reason. Like an evil presence had finally been purged or captured. He didn't know how to explain it, but his "evil" soul seemed to have been purified. He just couldn't wait to get the next two defendants over with. The way Denise and Janexna seemed to fawn over them...What did they have that he didn't? He had red hair, muscular, wore leather... Zack just couldn't figure them out...

OOC - Magic Courtroom, Magic Trap-Card. The power is not the Gavel's, but is bestowed upon the entire courthouse... which includes its backyard. It just so happens that the appointed judge can wield its power via the Gavel and Cards. Free him not, for the cat must suffer, and suffer it shall, because it shall suffer.

    IC -

"Ah, ah, ah. He can make a heartless, but not an EMBLEM heartless, which is a trademark of the six apprentices of Ansem the wise.

Anyway, I warn you again, if you call Sora now, and he cannot add any further evidence, you will be penalized. Possibly severely." the judge said, frowning.

OOC: Agreed. You free that furball and Zack's stuffing it down a wormhole with a one-way ticket to the Underworld's Basin of Souls. Then he'll be Hades' problem. :xp:

Harvey just shook his head. He began to ponder if the Judge had heard any of the evidence or just made decisions on his own without the testimonies or the video proof. "Your honor, Jack was coerced of course because he was cursed. Now, you can say Sora had a choice, but truly, if he is as helpful to others as he seems, wouldn't he go out of his way to make things better for Jack if he could? The coercion was in effect because it forced Sora and Donald and Goofy to be required out of the kindness of their Hearts to go after the gold and then the Heartless to free the Heart so that it went to Luxord for the Organization's plans. I am really not sure how you missed that. The point of coercion applies to especially Jack AND Sora as the plan wouldn't have been done in the first place were it not for Luxord requiring the Heart for the Organization's plans, which after the Heartless was killed, he took. Sora was -instrumental- to Luxord's plan."

"And as the 'Captain' of the boat, he ordered "Fire!" as I played out the -whole- scene with Luxord and the ship's cannons fired after Sora, Donald and Goofy were thrown to the Interceptor by Luxord's gesture and the Heartless sent them there. So under his command in both ways, the cannons were fired at the Interceptor that he had Sora, Donald and Goofy placed on and they went unconscious and were marooned. It was meant to go against Sora, Donald and Goofy and Captain Jack to force them along and also it did knock them unconscious."

OOC: I had to amend that because I misread what Erkz was saying since he spelled Luxord's name all weird and I was confused.

*OOC - My bad. Thought it'd be funny.*

    The judge raised his eyebrow.

"So... in effect you're saying he coerced the keyblade wielder to do what he was supposed to do and destroy the heartless?"

    He chuckled lightly.

"But I do suppose you're right about the cannon thing. Ho-hum...5 counts of Attempted Murder then? Because I highly doubt that Luxord expected them to survive that ordeal. I actually think he wanted them to drown for that matter..."

Harvey chuckled a bit. Yes, he could find the humor in what the Judge was saying but he seemed to be missing the seriousness of it too. He tried again. "The Heartless was summoned purely so Sora would destroy it. It cursed Jack to force Sora to go after it. Without destroying the Heartless, Jack could not be free. Also, it is the point of fact that it was done in a long roundabout way. Luxord could have just let them fight the Heartless but instead chose to go about the way he did for -specific- results. That -is- coercion. He manipulated events to force them to acts, whether or not Sora would have done the act or not prior. The point is the -way- it was gone about and the fact it required Sora regardless. There -should- be a coercion charge for what happened to Jack, but also for Sora at least because the act was purely done to get Sora where Luxord wanted him and so Luxord could get the Heart."

"As for the second thing, no, I do not believe Attempted Murder is right. It is obvious he didn't want them dead, so I would apply it to Aggravated Assault instead."

The pokemon did not like the judge. He seemed to be a third defense. "First off, the attack with the heartless. The creation of it does not really matter. He summoned it, it was under his command, and it in turn cursed Jack, other pirates and assaulted Sora, Donald, Goody and Jiminy. Secondly, Xemnas may or may not have planned the scene at Hollow Bastion. But in Luxord's trial, I am entitiled to prove that Luxord played a part in the attack."

The cat glanced around the draw he was stowed away in. He noticed a nearby cockroach. He quickly recited a cockroach mating call, and soon the Roach was on top of the card, attempting to mate with it. "Rather disturbing, but I think that will suffice." With a small flash, the card released the cat into the draw at insect sized level.

Zack felt the strange feeling of impending doom come over him again. Then he realized that the security system finally picked up the trace of the cat once again. And it was coming from...Zack looked at the readings again. Inside the judge's drawer? What the hell was he doing in there? Unless...

The gears finally clicked. He went into the backroom and pulled out a can of "Pest-Be-Gone," absorbed it into his weaponry, then walked out as if nothing happened. "Computer," he whispered, "lock down primary target. Maximize all Cheshire Cat counter-measures." There was a confirmed reply in his earpiece that the cat could no longer use any of its powers. This demon wasn't going to plague the courthouse ever again...

OOC - I'm sorry, but the cards don't work like that. You need to have magic. Magic that isn't possessed by foreign pests such as cockroaches. Also, Cockroaches don't have mating calls. They use pheromones, which, if by some strange chance the chesire cat can emit [god only knows why] they can't reach the roach through the card.

    IC -

The judge listened to what Harvey had to say.

"I see. But wouldn't that be manipulation instead of coercion? Because, whether you like it or not, Sora and the others could have said something like 'screw this, we're leaving' and headed to another world. And if you wish to not have attempted murder indicted against against the defendant, so be it..."

The judge then turned to Pika Power.

"... And what if he did play a part in the attack? Xemnas has a penchant for coercion through violent means. You cannot prove that he did so of his own will until Xemnas's trial. Which would make your pursuing the matter now, moot. Also, was it was under his command? I actually remember Luxord questioning whether or not it was worthy to serve Organization XIII alongside the medallions..."

  19. OOC: Good luck anwita D:, work is hard. Though I think by the time you come back, Demyx might be over with.

Janexna just let things go to Birdman, as he was simply pointing out the things they discussed. It was relief to her, though, that this was soon going to end, and he had to agree with the prosecutor. There was no Attempted Murder, Sora was always needed alive, it was written out obviously, Luxord would've failed in his orders otherwise, at least at that point...and that wouldn't be good, he was sure the member was aware that the Heartless needed to be killed so its heart can go where it needed to be. Sora dead, wasn't the Organization's intentions, until further into the game. And about the Hollow Bastion scenario, he really didn't understand why Mr. Power was pursuing the matter. 4 Counts of coercion, and 4 Counts of Aggravated Assault, the rest could account for 1. That sounded right. Now, all they needed was the judge to comply, or else the prosecution will be talking with him again, and that...that would be it. The gavel should be slammed down then.

It seemed the judge didn't agree with the Hollow Bastion tactic, and while Birdman did explain to him good reasons as to why it should be changed, with the evidence there, and he did, well, the pokémon if not making any progress after awhile, should be left alone.

"If you can place Coercion against him for Jack, and Manipulatioin for Sora, Donald and Goofy then I suppose that will suffice. As for the second thing, I am sure that though they -could have- died, Luxord was betting more that they would live, though be out of circulation long enough for him to implement his plans. So aggravated assault seems appropriate." Harvey gave a nod as that was really all he wanted to be made clear.

Though then the Judge asked about the control of the Heartless. He wasn't sure why it was being even argued because it was clear that the Heartless was under his control and the words were meant as a gambler's fate issue, but really, he wasn't going to comment as 'summoning' the heartless wasn't a crime. It was more a recognition Harvey had brought up to prove the other points of his statements and charges. He did look over at Pika though. "Please, let this go. There's really no point in letting the Judge call you out of order. There were worse things we had to already let go with Marluxia and Larxene. This isn't a big thing and it should be charged under Xemnas who was in charge." He really did not want to see Pika taken out of the whole case which if he kept on an issue he couldn't prove and the Judge was adamant against, he was going to be in some trouble.
