OOC: That's okay. You're allowed to do that. I'm just putting the testimony in its summarized version since this goes by Ace Attorney rules and whatever Luxord is thinking isn't heard IC. So although everyone OOC will understand what you mean, all ICs will have to either guess or figure it out themselves.

BIC:

Zack's only thought was 'WTF.' Sure he could understand what ol' fuzztop was saying, but the lesser intelligent beings here wouldn't be able to figure it out. He almost felt sorry for them. Emphasis on "almost."

Luxord crossed his arms and bowed before the court room,
awaiting verditct.

He was respectible,
no doubt of his trustabiity.

He had tried his best to follow the rules of the court room,
and in his speech,
verbally praise those he had stated against.

Such as Jack Sparrow and Sora,
reffering to them as,
"the renknown" and "A chivilrous young man."

Even though he had stated against Jack so much earlier,
and had accidentally denounced Sora's succes in the Gambler games,
so instead of leaving them as stuper and theiverous,
he gave them their rightful dignity,
and verbally praised them in front of the court.

 

Xelax had no idea what the hell Luxord said... "Um, no further questions from me..."

Pika_power stood up, staring into Luxord's face curiously. "Excuse me, Faxcord, I have just searched congention in my dictionary. While I am sure you enjoy sounding intelligent, please refrain from using words from other languages, or that are not in the dictionary. So, what exactly does congention mean?"

The pokemon whipped out his pokedex, and keyed in 'Seriatims' the pokedex uttered a mechanical sound, chugging out "No matches found" The pikachu frowned, and took away the last letter, leaving 'seriatim'. The red box spat out again a line of words. "Seriatim: Adverb, formal. Taking one subject after another; point by point: It is proposed to deal with these matters seriatim" The electric rat looked questioningly at Luxord. "That makes no sense, so what did you mean it as?"

Meh he thought, continuing with the questioning. "An employer? That would imply that you offered your services. Are you saying that you hired yourself out to attack people with heartless?"

"Axel was threatened at being turned into a Dusk? My, my. My heart goes out to him." The pokemon let out a harsh laugh. "But were you threatened?"

"But they stole the medallions, keeping poor pirates in an undead state, right?"

"Uh huh. right. They attacked Sora, Donald and Goofy. Rewards are meaningless, you put Sora in a position where he had to play harmful games in order to do his duty of protector of the worlds. Do you deny this?"

"Thousands of munny from that? Of course not. Sora got munny from killing heartless that attacked him. This was the main source, not your nobodies. Right?"

Pika_power nodded silently. There was no jury, only a judge.

Pika_power flipped over, thwacking his head on the birdman's wing. "Fairly settled?! You called out parley then before Jack had a chance to agree, you took off under your conditions! Do you consider that fairly settled?"

Pika_power slowly keyed in a word on the pokedex, cursing when it came up blank. "Sorry, I have no idea what algamated means. Please rephrase your statement."

Pika_power stared at Luxord. "Uh, Mr. Duckward, are you okay?"

"A god? Where did religion come into this? All I heard about was a heartless in the shape of a grim reaper, cursed by the gold."

"How did you help? You summoned the heartless which was no doubt made by you or another of the org."

"And this has to do with the case, how?" Pika_power put as much skepticism into his voice as possible. That guy is on a serious ego trip.

Roxas thought about it for a minute, then realized why he didn't use curaga himself. "I kind of used all of my magic up with Jack..." He didn't add how though. He figured that Namine would not be impressed with his sitting in a urinal, casting Fira whenever the flusher came, then giggling at the steam.
Roxas figured he should try and stand up, so he slowly groped himself upright. He gave a sigh of relief, just as he stepped onto a mushy substance. He slipped, screaming as his leg slid backwards into the pipe. He luckily grabbed w protruding metal handle from the wall. He put all his weight onto it to stop his fall. "Ah..." He sighed, before he noticed he was holding the flusher.

WOOSH!

 

Sora blinked and then after a moment shook out of the scene. "Oh, sure!" He turned and looked at Roxas. "Heal!" he announced and the Curaga spell was released, glittering and all around Roxas for the moment. "...any way..What are you two doing? It doesn't look very uh...well, um...so yeah, are you two okay or are we interrupting something?" Sora looked from left to right as if scoping the area to see if anyone was walking around there that would see these two in this precarious situation.

Harvey looked at Pika. In a low soft voice he whispered. "You may want to stop with the name calling and do this professionally. It isn't right to call the defendants things like that and if you are going to tear into his statements, it helps to just get to the point and ask the important questions...not what his diction means." He hoped Pika would calm down because he was close to being downright rude which could be taken as harassment. Last thing they needed was to have things dropped on account of that, even if Luxord was being rather odd.

Some things he did take out of Luxord's statement though made him ponder. How truthful was he being about that he did not really want to do the bidding but instead made it seem as though he had no choice or else he feared a similar fate to the threat issued to Axel? Also, he seemed to take his role there very much as a game in which he would congratulate Sora because after all...Sora had played the game admirably. So what if a curse was raised and Jack got caught in it and the Heartless he had brought or made there did hold the curse and the stolen gold...he had a mission to do and it seemed a game where he got the Heart he wanted, the power used and that was that. "Pika...you may want to also focus on his statements too of whether he was working for this cause because he had to or wanted to, and relay the other side of the story for him to comprehend. In the end, I think some of it he considers a game and a test and he also passed his mission too as Sora did. He may not really see things outside the realm of ...gambling until he's told, because he does seem quite smart, but also stuck on a concept."

 

Pika_power heard Harvey talking to him, and one ear pricked up, listening. "Got it, focusing on those points, it is."

Roxas smiled at Sora as his leg was healed. "Thanks Sora! Now, my leg is kind of rammed down the pipe, so I cannot leave here. I guess the court will have to come in here for my testimony." Risking a glance at the blonde nobody, he realized that his face was right on line with Namine's. He risked a glance downward, and found that with the right angle, he could reallly tell she had thrown the dress on at the last second.
Staring, he didn't notice the drop of saliva coming from the corner of his mouth. He tried to lick it away, but too late. It fell downwards through the gap that gave Roxas his view. Mind working quickly, he said "did you feel that? I think there is a leaky roof here!"

 

Harvey patted Pika on the shoulder. "Good man."

"You can't just have your leg stuck in the pipe, Roxas. We have to get that out. How did you even manage to get your leg caught in a pipe?" He took out his Keyblade and tapped it against his shoulder debating if maybe the weapon might be able to get him out or if something else could. Maybe they could try to pick him up and pull him out carefully. After all, how could he be stuck -that- bad and yet his leg healed? Sora felt a bit dumb as he realized he didn't even notice his leg was stuck in the first place until it was mentioned. 10 observation points for Sora. "Maybe I can pick you up and Namine and Kairi can try to loosen your leg and we can get you out. They aren't going to all want to have a court session in the bathroom...maybe I should get Riku. I bet he'd know what to do." At this point, Sora was thinking in a blur but not getting very far with that.

Zack eyed Luxord curiously. He found an immediate contradiction in his testimony, whether he meant it or not. Of course, it was up to the prosecution to call him on it. And despite Mr. Princeton attempting the rhetoric, the words made sense; the spelling was atrocious, though. Yes, everything was being recorded in the Court Record, verbally and literally.

Naminé realized one of her dress straps had shifted off her shoulder which she immediately put back. However, Roxas' leg seemed to be genuinely stuck. She felt something wet make contact with her bare skin, but shrugged it off as toilet water. "Couldn't we just smash the toilet and someone can repair it later?"

Kairi's stomach was in pure agony. She immediately swiped her purse back, dug through it and whipped out the bottle of antacid. Then in one fluid motion, she poured out two of the tablets and chomped on them for all its worth. With a sigh of relief, she felt the pressure in her stomach finally subside. With that crisis averted, she could finally concentrate on the problem at hand. "You're right, Sora. You stay here with Naminé. I'll go get Riku." And with that, she trotted off.

Naminé sighed. "I'd still like to know how it's even possible for your leg to be stuck in there. I mean, it shouldn't even be physically possible."

Kairi ran as fast as she dared until she finally reached the courtroom doors. As calmly as she could, she walked back to the witness booth and bent down so only Riku and Repliku could hear. "I don't suppose either of you know how to get someone's leg out of a toilet? Roxas' leg got stuck inside it somehow and we don't know how to get it out..."

Sora came up behind Roxas while Namine tried to wrestle his foot out and took him under the arms and tried pulling him back. "He has to come loose somehow. I don't think breaking the toilet would be a good thing!...Unless we really can't get him out."

Riku was listening to the big rhetoric and thoughts going around when he turned and looked over at Kairi who was asking how to get someone's foot out of the toilet. Of all the weird questions to ask, that one was surely the oddest one he had heard for the day. "His leg?" Riku was having trouble imagining how someone could get his leg caught in the toilet, but oh well, he may as well go see. He would want to get there any way before someone decided to bust the toilet and of course they would not know about the water valve so that water wouldn't go everywhere. Standing up he gave Kairi a nod. "Yeah, let's go help the trouble maker." He then turned and headed out going down to the bathroom.

Arching his eyebrows in surprise at first, Repliku just shook his head and focused on the court proceedings and also on how everyone was possibly poisoned to death by Taco Bell. Should he go and see if Roxas really was dying? No, no, of course not. Repliku didn't want to hang out with these cruel people or be in this court room. Damn Vexen for being so high up in the Org. His fists clenched in agitation and he watched Luxord's presentation continue. It might almost seem he was angry at Luxord but the reality of the situation was that he didn't really know the guy, of course.

 

"Thanks, Riku," Kairi said. They eventually made their way back to the courthouse's cleaners where Kairi had left them. Sora and Naminé were still struggling to pull Roxas out.

Naminé's head jerked up and sighed with relief as Riku and Kairi came into view. "Thank goodness!" She let go of Roxas and shrugged helplessly. "So, Riku. Do you know how to get him out?"

OOC: This situation is just too bizarre. lol

Riku gave a nod and moved around Roxas to get his hand behind the toilet and turned the water off that would be going to it. "The water is off now so we can try to get him out a bit easier. If that doesn't work, we may have to ask for the water to be shut off in this section of the building so that we can take the toilet out or break it if need be." He didn't really like the idea of sticking his hand in the toilet that may have something undesirable remaining in there. "Can you move your foot at all, Roxas?"

Sora tried to give a couple good pulls to try to get Roxas dislodged. "Ungh..he's kind of heavy!" He hoped that Roxas was able to move at all. He also hoped no one showed up because this was probably going to get them in trouble.

 

Kairi gave Sora a funny look. "Uh...isn't he your Nobody? You two practically weigh exactly the same. So, if he's heavy for you, either you haven't been working out as much or Roxas has been snacking on too many Sea-Salt ice cream bars."

Naminé saw that Riku wasn't exactly thrilled with the prospect of sticking his hand in the toilet. She threw a quick glance over her shoulder and was slightly relieved that the shopkeeper was nowhere in sight. "Help me out, Kairi!" Counting to three, she thrust her hands into the toilet and began maneuvering her hands around the area where Roxas' leg was wedged in.

Kairi sighed. 'Leave it to girls to do a guy's job,' she thought to herself. Following Naminé's example, Kairi plunged her hands from the other side of the toilet and mirrored Naminé's actions. As disgusted as she was for even doing this, she knew that Sora and Riku wouldn't have done it. As she felt around the stuck portion of Roxas' leg, she felt a little give. "Hey! I think it's starting to come loose!"

Naminé felt it too. Roxas' leg was indeed becoming unclogged. "We just need you guys to give some good pulls and he'll be out!"

Zack was wondering if the prosecution was stalling or was just plain stupid. There was a glaringly obvious contradiction in the gambler's testimony. Why neither the pipsqueak nor the winged Digimon objected was completely beyond his genius perspective...

 

Xelax was interested in the case. He was glad that he opted to allow Luxord to defend himself. Luxords aura of conficendence is what Mr. Xelax excused himself from avoiding his own oportunity for examination... this was a lie though, he really just couldn't examine him because he had no idea what the how he was talking about.

He poored himself a cup of instant coffee grounds... but he had no water. This was no good at all. He looked over to Demyx. He always had plenty of water. "Um, Demyx," he showed the empty cup, "Could you hook a lawyer up?"

 

"Yeah, I babysit all the time." she replied as she grabbed the package of cookies from her bag. "Hey you guys want some?"

Demyx's eyes lit up at the sight of his favorite food. "Thank you!" he replied cheerfully as he took one of the offered cookies.

Denise set the Chips Ahoy! package down so Axel could grab one if he wanted.

After Demyx finished his chocolate chip treat, he noticed Xelax asking for some water. "Huh? Oh sure." He filled the cup and handed it back to the lawyer.​

 

"I bet it is the Sea Salt Ice Cream...that stuff is good!" He grinned and then moved to get a better footing. "Okay, help me out, Riku!"

Riku moved Roxas's leg so it wouldn't be broken and looked at Kairi and Namine. He would have stuck his hand in the toilet. He just hadn't wanted to but hey, the girls did the job so he could focus on the strength bit instead. He maneuvered behind Sora then and nodded. "Alright, on 3!" He took one of Roxas's shoulders while Sora grabbed the other one. "1, 2, 3!" With a strong pull by the two boys as Namine and Kairi kept his ankle adjusted, they hoped Roxas would come free. Of course, Sora and Riku, as well as Roxas would probably go back flying to land on their bums, but at least hopefully Roxas would be out of the mess.

Harvey looked at Pika, wondering if he was going to pick apart some valid things in Luxord's statements and point out how he contradicted himself. Harvey whispered to the Pokemon. "He is saying he did not do the curse and all, but who was in charge of the Heartless? Who also ordered his Nobodies to steal the gold in the first place, sending Sora out because Jack was cursed, and he also stole the Heart once the Heartless was slain so it could not go onto the real Kingdom Hearts. You do have some things to ask him about his statements such as that. There is coercion, theft, the curse after the problem was resolved after Sora and Jack had dealt with Barbossa and Pete's Heartless. You can do this." He hoped Pika would go back over what was said and analyze it deeper, asking what needed to be asked. He knew the little guy was willing to go overboard at times, but also he was missing some key things here. Maybe it was lost in the fancy words. He did, however, want Pika to do the investigation as Pika had asked, so he was reluctant to state anything himself in the immediate.
