~~*Organzation XIII goes to court*~~

Edgeworth lookded at the new arrival like What the hell? "Excuse me? I'm a prosecutor, do you think I'm going to sit back, drink a cup of tea and casually discuss evidence and charges with a so-called "Sora's Lawyer?""

He turned back to the young lady. "Sorry, you make a good point. Why don't you go back to drawing something and let the grownups talk now?" His condensending arrogance was now bleeding through. He would ponder her words later.

OOC: Seriouslly... Edgeworth will not discuss evidence or charges unless there are special circumstances...

 

Naminé's face was blank. But her thoughts were seeping through loud and clear. "YOU IDIOT! I'M TRYING TO GET EDGEWORTH TO DROP THE CHARGES COMPLETELY! AND WHO ARE YOU CALLING AMBER? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! WHY ARE YOU EVEN UP HERE?! I ALMOST FREAKIN' HAD HIM AND YOU JUST HAD TO BE A FREAKIN' SMART-ALEC AND STICK YOUR OVERSIZED NOSE IN THIS DAMN CONVERSATION AND..." Her raging thoughts blazed faster than the speed of light. But she was justified. The Pokemon had ruined her plan and now Sora was going to pay the price.

Then very calmly she looked at Edgeworth and said quietly, "I'm sorry, Mr. Edgeworth. But I thought you of all people would understand..." And with a death glare at Mewtwo, she and Kairi went back to their seats.

OOC: ICSP, did you set me up?

 

Mewtwo glanced at Namine. "You almost had him? With what? He was going to charge Sora with certain crimes anyway. Do you mean to change his mind, and let Sora off? By all means continue. I just have things to say to this shakespare rip-off."

Mewtwo was sorely tempted to return Edgeworth's look, but he resisted the urge, as the last time he tried looking at someone like that, he blew up a laboratory.

"Yes Mr. Edgeworth, I do expect you to show me the documents. So far, you have shown up, made a request to the judge, now are telling Namine that you are going to arrest Sora and have his trial after this one. To me, it looks highly likely that you are a hobo who got the reject clothes for a Romeo and Juliet play, became cocky from the cheap food you have been eationg" Mewtwo eyed his sleeve. "and waltsed in here, telling us that everyone needs to stay behind so you can charge Sora for an unkown crime. I want proof! So kindly hand over anything that would identify the truth of your words."

 

OOC: No... he really did just but in. And Edgey is still not beyond help. I wonder if Namine can see Psyche locks? Just a thought. She can manipulate memories after all.

"Mr. 150, I'm not sure what courtroom you came from, but according to the current rules of the legal system, I don't need to show you evidence until the day of the trial." He smirked.

 

Harvey blinked as he heard Jack's innocent plea. It was clear this man was used to being on trial or at least in trouble. He should have figured that he was this way since he was a pirate, but something about Jack was just off, and a notorious pirate...he was not. Harvey grabbed his tie and cleared his throat.

"Ahem, that's not quite what I meant, Jack. You aren't on trial to prove your innocence or guilt. We need your testimony in order to understand the circumstances you went through and your world went through when it comes to what Luxord did. Can you please give us an account of the events that transpired?"

Sora's eyes widened. He was being put on trial for what? Because of what he had felt he had to do? "This doesn't make any sense...but Namine, please calm down. Mewtwo, please too? There's no need to fight about it. I just..don't get it. What did I exactly do, sir?" Sora didn't want to see a fight break out anymore than had already happened. He also had no idea what he could have done that was so wrong with things. He had earnestly thought he did his best with what choices he had been given. This all came as a shock to him and he wasn't sure what to say or do at this point, but he knew getting in a fight about it was wrong. Surely, things could be talked about? No one had ever mentioned such a thing to him before. "I'm really confused." He ran his hands through his hair nervously as he tried to calm down the emotions within. Already one lawyer had tried to get him on perjury and now there was some court case he would be tried for? This was just not his day.

Riku turned and looked at the new attorney. "What the crap? I have no idea how this is even fair considering all that has happened. How could people charge him? I don't even know what to say to this beyond that it's outlandish and whoever brought up charges against Sora...sucks and I hope we hear those charges sometime soon." Riku wasn't trying to be overly harsh on it, because the lawyer was a lawyer and someone had to be behind it, but his words were strong mostly because he was taken off guard and just surprised. Sora was not the only one who had been out to stop the Organization after what they had done. Was anyone who had been against them going to be brought up on superfluous charges and if not why just Sora? He had to think on things because this wasn't very good at all. He had some sympathy for the Org, but when it was said and done, his best friend being tried was just something Riku was not going to just let slide easily. Sora never asked for the position he was put in.

Repliku frowned. Sora was truly the only person who had ever treated him as a real person and didn't see him as some stupid doll. He said nothing though as any time he spoke, he was just ignored or ridiculed. However, this deeply shocked him and he could do nothing else but look forward to hear Jack's testimony, rather than focus on this and blurt something else out that would just be considered nothing from a nothing. He might though stay now longer or come back because he would want to know what happened to Sora. He trembled a bit and lowered himself in his seat to avoid expressing anymore emotion than he had to.

 

150 sighed. "Mr Edgeworth, if that is your name, I find it quite ridiculous that you can march in here and demand that everyone stays behind. I wish for evidence. Proof. A document saying that Sora is ordered to stay behind and have his trial. Anything that will convince me, and Sora for that matter that you have authority."




"Okay Savvy, time for me test-to-flie!

• I remember it well... It was a cloudy day. I was spending a quite time at the bar. Not drinking though, no way matey. Drinking ain't the life for me. I need clavity. I was only in the bar to look around, see if a friend was there, just being social like. I am an honest guy. Nothing suspicious going on in the bar.
  
• I walked out of the bar, when I heard a noise. Some of the foul cursed pirates were attacking some fair maidens. Of course, I did what any honest captain would do, and I drew their attention onto me. I couldn't have them hurting the maidens.
  
• I ran swiftly, leading the cursed men away from the public, when I ran into Sora. He was nice enough to help fend off the menace of the pirates. Of course, it was all in self defense. The pirates attacked us first.
  
• Elisabeth Ducky walked up to me, and told me how the brave man Bobby Tanner went to the island to check on the cursed Anzac gold.
  
• Sora and I sensed something was amiss, so we boarded my ship, the black pearl, and started a sale. We got a few buyers when Willy Wonka stopped by with his own ship, the intercopter. He was a cod, so we bravely swung across and checked him out. He told us that a man wearing a hoodie attacked him and stole the cancerous aussy gods.
  
• We went towards the island when the man in the goodie appeared with the wost african mold.
  
• He attacked us with a monster, which we killed, but it was still alive.
  
• He revealed himself to be Crux dord. He called for barley, which we granted. He then cowardly attacked us with his monny star.
  
• He took four medallions, and gave me a boner... I mean he made me boney.
  
• we were thrown onto the destroyed contraceptor.
  
• We were met by the Black pearl at the meeting point. All was going according to plan.
  
• We went back to port canal, to protect the townsfolk from Duck mord.
  
• When we got there, the monster was there. It attacked us, but we finally defeated it.
  
• I lost my boner... Ahem. I mean I stopped being bony.
  
• Muckford pealed a pear, then taunted Sora. He then un pealed it.
  
• I went about my normal bussiness again, as a good gent should.
  

So you see" Jack concluded "I was completely innocent. Sora and myself acted completely responsibly throughout the event. Savvy?"
Jack gave a sly wink at Namine. "You look great darling, although a bit too young for me."

 

The judge facepalmed.

"Mr. Sparrow, are you drunk?" he asked, aghast.

OOC - ... I lol'd. Hard.

BIC: Naminé cringed in disgust. "You keep telling yourself that," she replied. Then muttering to herself, "And your movies were a waste of time. I mean, it went full circle and was meaningless in the end." She was still a little ticked that Mewtwo had went and interrupted her. She was certain she was getting through to him, but the Pokémon's interference brought Edgeworth's guard back up, basically negating her efforts to the point of futilism. She sighed. Maybe by some miracle Sora would get off, but for once, her and Kairi's heart wasn't exactly bursting with confidence.

Kairi sympathized with Naminé, but something else bothered her. Why hadn't the bailiff taken away the Captain's rum before he was called? Then she remembered the recess. There was no way in knowing they were going to call Jack first. Taking it at the time would've been meaningless. However, it would've prevented Roxas from his drunken stupor.

Zack almost knew what was going on through some people's heads. Why bring up a drunk witness? True, the bailiff had a special cocktail that would force the drunk to be instantly sober without the hangover, but it was more entertaining to see how this played out. However, he did manage to confiscate this wuss' pistol. Didn't want it accidentally being fired into the crowd after all. Zack wondered if he should use his antidote on the paintbrush-haired kid that was unconscious. It might work...

IC sent my a PM and said Luxord was next in-line,
so I came when I could.

Luxord looks around at the courtroom after Sparrow's whatever-it-was-called.

Either Sparrow wasn't as straight as the arrow he claimed to be....
Or he really was drunk......
God I hope it was the last one....
Out of all of the Organization Members to be drawn in devianrt comics,
he was, thankfully, least used out of all thriteen, to be used as a crack pairing.

But now his thoughts were drawn to fangirls now scribbling images of himself and Mr. Sparrow,
all because of the idiot's testimony....
And since he was so descriptive,
"Duck ord"....would be on the bottom.......>.>

He sighs, and rubs his eyes with his tumb and index fingers,
resting his eblow on the table.

And worst yet,
he now had a craving for a scrumdibliumpcious bar.....
That piratical son-ofa-....

OOC: Well, a quick recap:

Marluxia just got turned into a card and got sent to the Fan Fiction realm being forced to participate in some yaoi fanfic.

Luxord's up. The prosecution has called up a drunken Jack Sparrow as a witness to the stand. He just did testimony.

Meanwhile Mewtwo and Edgeworth are butting egos.

Roxas is still passed out from Jack's rum.

Sparrow tried to rip Naminé's dress off, but only managed to turn it into a mini.

Amber's OC Denise (I'm assuming the court stenographer) has arrived and is sitting besides Demyx who's talking to Axel.

Xelax (along with a few other characters) laugh at the prosecution's decision to bring up a drunk witness to the stand.

Janexna have been pretty silent.

And the judge facedesked himself for Sparrow's drunkenness.

So, Luxord can pretty much start interacting with anybody. Just don't interrupt the trial itself or the judge might hold Luxord in contempt. :xp:

 

Luxord looks to Xelax.
Quickly he asks his question,
whispring it into the lawyer's ear.

"Do you repute this Piratical nitiwit,
or should the baillif eliminate him?"
He asks simply.
Only one tough word.

A Lawyer should be abe to understand Repute,.....right....?

 

Jack staged a look that said quite plainly "How could you think such a thing?"

"What evidence do you have to eat your clam? I am an honest captain. I get by on bits and bobs. I have sworn on kingdom hearts. I must not be lying. I have told you the truth. How can I be anything except honest? I don't even have a gun!" Jack grinned boldly at the bailiff. "I ain't drunk matey, just a little dazed due to the care-bears. Savvy?"

 

Zack raised an eyebrow and crinkled his nose. "Riiiiight. Of course you don't have a gun because I confiscated it from you beforehand. Might be only a one-shot, but it's still lethal. Just like Mr. Eyepatch up there..." He jerked his head toward Xigbar. "...no guns in the courtroom. Swords, knives and magic powers are okay, but NO guns." The smell of liquor wafting from Jack's clothes almost made him puke. "And I know you like playing around with jars of dirt," he coughed, "but could you wash that outfit once in awhile?"

 

Luxord rolls his eyes.
Obviously someone was tempting the witness before hand with Rum,
due to the fact the Jack Sparrow he had heard
about wouldn't be as stupid to drink rum at an opportune time.

But he looked down at Roxas,
humming a drunken song...
No evidence now that Roxas had taken the last swig.

He asked himself a question,
Why is evidence always gone...?

But if he could prove himself guilty on some charges,
and save himself from worse ones,
he might be let off for good behavior.

He rises to meet the Captain,
flashing a white smile.
"Carebears...you say Mr. Sparrow...?"
Luxord asks humorusly.

He saw no carebears,
if he could prove Jack was seeing deluisions of Grandure,
then it would either prove Jack was lying,
he woul not be held accountable since somebody drugged him,
or that Jack merely suffered from heatstroke,
and could not be trusted with the truth.

 

Jack smiled slyly. "Ahem. Check the case mr pika-pocket. No bulls or cows in there. I never reloaded the gun. I would not take a buring limb into court!"

hearring Luxord's comment, Jack turned. "Carebears? I do not see any carebears. By any chace matey, are you drunk? After all, gambling goes hand in hand with drink, Savvy?"

 

"Oh really." Zack pointed the pistol up in the air and squeezed the trigger.

*BLAM*​

The shot echoed throughout the courtroom. "Then someone must be trying to set you up then. Wait..." He looked upward and saw that where there should've been a hole in the roof, there was no damage whatsoever.

Curiously, he checked the gun itself. His eyes widened in astonishment. "The gun's loaded with blanks!" He shook his head. "Either way, you're not getting this back until the end of the trial." He carefully put it back in a spare holster.

 

"That's ok, I'm used to being interupted. I'm Denise." She restated. "Figures, I almost always end up the youngest or the oldest in a room..." She noticed the two of them talking. "What are you two whispering about?" She asked out of curiosity.

He was thinking of a reply to Axel when he heard Denise's question. "Er, um, nothing!" He struggled not to blush even more. "Just... guy stuff!"

The young artist giggled to herself (girls love seeing guys blush, don't ask why) and was about to say something when she was interupted by the gunshot. "What the heck?!?" she nearly yelled as she jumped back, only to realize it was a blank.

 

Luxord grips his chest tightly when he hears the gun go off.

Nobodies were prone to act as if they had hearts,
and in this case,
he acted as if it just stopped.

And then he realizes Jack's statement.
"I drink winecoolers, Mr. Sparrow, and certainly not alot at one time, as you are rpone to bender."
Luxord rhetoircs slightly.
Truthbetold,
the worst thing he had ever passed down his esophogus was a Shirely Temple,
but was he going to tell the theiving Jack that?
No!

And the idiot did mention Care-bears,
the forgetful imbecile!

 

Harvey blanched and walked over to Jack at the stand. "Look, Jack...Captain Sparrow...this isn't -your- trial. This is pertaining to Luxord...the guy who stole your ship...you know?"

Harvey leaned in closer to the man and then backed away waving his hand to get rid of the waft of odor from the rum. He rattled his head a moment. "Jack...we need you to tell the -TRUTH-. Otherwise, I will have to ask you to step down and get yourself more sober *puts hand to side of mouth and says away from Jack "and a bath" *turns back. "This isn't a court case to decide charges against you. We know you are a pirate and don't care. Are you going to help us with this or not?"

Harvey backed up and wrung his hands nervously. This witness was not turning out to be so reliable and just calling Sora up for each scene against the Organization was not a positive thing as he wanted to show the view from different angles to get the proper story. He suddenly wished Will Turner or Elizabeth had came even if he found Captain Sparrow to be one of the funniest men around and he was a darn cool pirate.

Harvey looked at Zack. "You can give hiim his gun back considering it was just a single-shot weapon and you've gone and used the round. "

 

Zack hesitated at the wrestling reject's "request." True, it was a single shot pistol, but a gun was still a gun. Finally, he reluctantly placed the gun on the bench. "Fine, but it's your responsibility if he happens to use it," he growled, glaring at Harvey.
