"It is made to be fact, your honor, that if the defendant has pointed out many holes, we have the right in the process of charges made against my clients, that it can be dropped, no matter whether the Keybearers are or aren't the ones I am defending. Being a judge, you should know this. After all, this court is ignited by the fact that we are trying to defend those that are in trial, and therefore, acting on what to take or not to take depending on what it's said, is it not? Then what is the point to prove guilty or not guilty if we proved a point, and is impossible just because it isn't the Keybearers who are being questioned, your Honor? Especially as the Keybearers are going to be questioned sooner or later themselves depending on who he wants to speak up. You can obviously see a double standard in this matter, and by law itself, this shouldn't be overlooked. It only makes Pika_Power's clients look guilty as well. This is what I deem shocking and unethical. And since the conversation is obviously about the matter of whether the Keyblade is a weapon, and you did not explain throroughly what was cleared, this let me to believe that it was the argument at hand," Janexna said patiently, knowing where this was going, but not really caring anymore by this point. Let him do what he wanted. And so she ended politely, "You can do what you wish your Honor, I have nothing more to say on this matter."

She simply opened a folder, beginning to pass over the notes and papers she'd written and collected.

 

OoC: Okay. I was just stating how the process works for those unfamiliar with the game.

 

Pika_power's ears pricked up.

"So I do not need to drop the charges?! Alrighty then... As Trainer Judge has decided that the keyblade holds no relevance, I continue my statement. The org chooses to manifest their energy into weapons. I consider this to be in possession of a weapon. If they would not be allowed on a plane with it, it is a weapon.
They have objects that are clearly only for use to harm people. If this is not the charge I am laying, I am changing the charge to this.

Do or do not the org have and use objects that are purely to harm people?"

The pokemon stands on the table, staring at the judge, utterly confused.

 

The judge sighed.

"Which is why, Ms. Janexna I asked the Prosecution to substanciate their claims." the judge said, slightly annoyed. "However, one would think that this court is attempting to bite off more than it can chew, so I suggest we take things one step at a time for now."

The judge then looked toward the prosecution.

"That depends on whether you can prove this or not. Please, proceed with your first charge, supporting evidence, and or witnesses."

 

OoC: Pika_Power, I think you forgot to add "child abuse" to both Larxene and Marluxia's charges. :p

And Luxord for theft.

 

He had asked the prosecution? When? Surely, he was in straight point, looking at her in question, speaking to her and her defenses before, wasn't he? He had said nothing concerning the prosecution, except for now. Either way, she simply twirled her pen, paying attention while getting another bite of her Skittle. She should've gotten something to drink before coming, now she was thirsty.

 

As if from an otherworldly source, Pika_power gets a brainwave.

"Put child abuse on for Larxane and Marly's charges please Trainer Judge, and also Luxord for theft"

Pika_power raises his paws in thanks, and makes a mental note to donate a thunderstone to whoever gave him that idea.

The pikachu knows he needs a witness to all of the org's crimes, and who better than Namine?

"Namine, is it, or is it not true, that you saw Members of the org summon weapons for offensive, not defensive purposes? Is it also true that you have seen Marluxia use his energy for creating flowers?"

The pikachu sits down, leaving it up to Namine.

Oi, Destiny, you're up!

 

OOC - ... It may just be me, but does anyone else get the feeling that this trial is a bit haphazard? I say we stop and rethink this a bit. Randomly calling witnesses and prosecuting multiple defendants at the same time for multiple charges isn't going to work out.

 

OoC: Possibly. How about Erkz devises a list of the charges and against who, then we debate them? We can do it character by character, starting back to front, so we do Xemnas last.

 

OOC - Devising charges is the prosecution's job, lad. But I was thinking character by character also, starting from Roxas. It makes sense, and is much more manageable that way. Let's hear what the others have to say.

Although Roxas has been cleared of all charges, remember?

So it would start at Marluxia.

 

OOC - D: The hell is he cleared of all charges? Various instances of attempted murder, attempted suicide, theft, kidnapping, and a bunch of other stuff.

 

Hum? One instance of attempted murder, against Sora in Sora's own body. Even then, that was for control of the body, and half of Sora anyway.

Attempted suicide? When?

Kidnapping? No proof.

Theft? Only Sora's body.

A bunch of other stuff? While all this might hold true in Days, I cannot see any crimes he commit, apart from the Sora thing.

 

OOC: Attempted suicide?? O_O When? But character by character does sound reasonable (don't you mean starting from Larxene then, Pika_Power? She comes before Roxas and after Marly)... otherwise it WILL get confusing later on. We don't want that now, do we? :)

btw... Jury? O.o Or not necessary?


Axel had slipped through the doors, entering the court, long ago when the prosecutor had first began reading the charges, he'd only arrived just a bit late. He was, at first, a little stunned to see a Pikachu, a real live pokémon, standing on the table reading the charges. His expression was something along the lines of “holy crap” and “cool” at the same time as he stared at it for moment. Well, that certainly was unexpected. He'd quietly taken his seat among the spectators, where thirteen seats had been reserved for all the members of Organization XII, right behind the two defense attorneys. He listened to the whole list of charges laid against entire Organization soundlessly, and only twitched at the last charge directed towards him. As the defense attorneys and the prosecutor began their debate over whether the 'possession of weapon' charges should be dropped or not, he'd been sitting down with his lips curled, eyes narrowed, arms folded and his foot impatiently tapping on the floor. His face showed a slight glimpse of glee when he heard the Pikachu dropping the weaponry possession charges against them, but only for it to drop as the Judge overruled the objection, keeping all charges, and the Pikachu happily adding them back on the list. Damn... so close.
“I don't like him.” He whispered pointing to the Pikachu as he poked his head between Xelax and Janexna. “Oh... Skittles. Can I get a blue one?

 

Unfortunately for Pika_Power, he hadn't noticed that Naminé wasn't in the courtroom at the moment. She had to relieve herself at the "little girl's room" so his question fell on deaf and confused ears.

Kairi was snuggling up against Sora, completely nervous about having to go through this. Being traumatized by the entire experience didn't help calm her nerves at all.

"I don't know if I can do this," she said fearfully. "This whole courtroom seems a bit unorganized..."

OoC: Before this goes on, I'd actually like to know how we're really doing this. If its character-by-character, fine. But unless we know what the game plan is, (like who's being accused first or going through the formalities of name, occupation, etc.) and what the witness has to testify about first, then we're not really going to get anywhere.

 

The pokemon sighs. Trainer Erkz was right.

"Okay everyone, how about we start again, with Larxane? When, of course our resident Memory Witch relieves herself.

Now, lets review her file."

Pika_power picks up the metal file and pulls out Larxane's picture and reads out

Pika_power sits on the table, wating for Sora to realize he had been called.

The judge watched slently, waiting for the witness to take the stand.

 

Kairi blinked a few times before realizing that Sora had fallen asleep. His head was hanging over the back of his chair and there was a slight bit of drool leaking out of the side of his mouth. She shook her head. As cute as the boy was, he really needed to start paying attention to what was going on around him. As all the eyes were on the Keyblade master, all Kairi could do was smile with embarrassment. She began shaking him awake. "Come on, Sora, you lazy bum. You're up!"

Naminé was in one of the bathroom stalls when she realized that there was no toilet paper. "Um, hello? Is anyone out there?" she called. Fortunately, it seemed that no one else was occupying the restroom at the moment. She had no choice but to crawl underneath the barriers to the next stall so she could grab some much needed relief.
