Naminé couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Prove Naminé has emotions?" She could easily prove that by going down there and...

She stopped. She didn't want to get charged for assaulting a lawyer. But it was crystal clear to her that she definitely had emotions. Along with some disturbing thoughts...

Kairi felt slightly nervous for Naminé. She seemed a bit mad at how Xelax was making her out to be a so-called "mastermind of the entire plot." She hoped that Naminé could control her temper...

 

The judge frowned. Xelax had a point. If the Birdman wanted charges to stick, the Birdman would have to see his claims through to the end. And that meant providing solid, practical evidence.

"Birdman, your opponent has upped the ante. To continue along this track, you're going to have to present evidence supporting your claims... Prove your claims sucessfully, and the charges will stick, and we can move along. Fail, and you will be penalized, and your charges will not stick." the judge said, looking over at the prosecution.

"It's your call. For great justice."

OOC - I just realized we're on 39 pages and still on Larxene. o_O

 

Harvey smirked. "I had already said she had memes and a Soul as ALL Nobodies do. It seems prevalent to reveal itself with some more than others, but ALL of them have souls and therefore conscience. If they choose to ignore that, it is on them. If they do not, then it is as it is, no remorse, no regret, no change and it is nothing different from a pathological serial killer. Namine -did- in fact listen to her Soul. And what I said last time as she is an unusual Nobody is substantial enough to say so, as was Roxas. Even Axel developed a conscience. If you continue to say Namine did not have memes and a Soul then we might as well just call this at an end and say ALL Nobodies are non-redeemable and threats to society and existence and will just do their plans again that harmed many people."

"As for Repliku and his sentience, Here you go."

"Now let's look at this. First off, taking aside the facts a boy is told he is a 'fake' with a body and heart that is 'fake' it is obvious he cannot be. He should be an empty shell because of what Namine did to him, but instead his Heart managed to retain his integrity. He pulled himself together by his very will, overcoming what should have been technical brain death in some manner, using the only thing he had to do so, which was a promise."

"So, while this promise was fake in itself and he acknowledges it as a phantom promise or not, he had a will, a soul and heart of his own. He defied the very foundations of being a doll or toy. This sentience is proven by this. Now prove he's NOT sentient by some show from the boy himself and not just Larxene's and Marluxia's words."

 

OOC: Really? I'm only on Page 11. But that's only because I changed my options to 40 posts per page :p And of course, we're still on Larxene. The defense doesn't want to give up without a fight. :wacko:

 

OOC: yeah this is going to be long but it is entertaining. In the end, I don't get how we are fighting over what the game itself says about Namine as well as the novels. Let alone the other Nobodies. I'd hate to have to go through and post a ton more stuff from KH2 etc to show this stuff. lol. I've been absolutely taking things straight from the games.

Also, where does this become just about Namine? I am very confused how charges were not established for Sora and Repliku pertaining to Larxene and so they would feasibly realistically be there. The case is totally unfair and biased without them.

 

OOC - You misunderstand. Anything against Sora is already proven. You were asked to support your claims about Repliku, which you did. You also claimed that Namine could feel lonliness, which she technically should not. You were merely asked to prove the existance of anomalies. Which you did. Unless, of course, Xelax can disprove your claims. He's welcome to try, of course. o_o

 

OOC: *shrugs* I don't know. You guys were the ones who made the charges. I'm just here to look pretty. :p

BTW, Udgey-boy, Pika_Power asked a question pertaining to the penalty system. Do the penalty slates wipe themselves clean after each member? Or do the penalties carry over a certain amount of cases?

Speaking of which, when does Pika get his turn to Cross-Examine? When Sora and Repliku take the stand?

Namine was impressed. She was half-expecting Mr. Birdman to use herself as his proof. After all, she was the one being accused of not having emotions. She also noticed that Pika had the exact same line of thinking and backed up Harvey's claims with further evidence. In other words, unless Xelax or Janexna could disprove BOTH of their evidence, Larxene was pretty much done for.

 

OOC - I'm still debating that penalty thing. If I wipe them clean after each person, there's a chance that they'll screw up a little more often than they should. However, if I don't wipe them clean, there's more incentive for them to 'not screw up at all costs'. Which, in turn, would make the RP more fun. Bah, we'll see when Larxene's done.

Also, Pika and Birdman are a team. o_O They should be cross-examining together, as a team.

 

Pika_power got out of his seat, walked over to the wooden witness box and slammed his head against it repeatedly. He slowly got back to his seat.

"Did no one at all listen to my comments? I gave the proof of Namine having a heart, along with prove of Repliku having a heart. Can someone PLEASE play back the court record, to actually listen to what I said?!

To repeat myself, Repliku was not a doll, because he had an opinion different to his masters'. He defied their will. He could string together sentences. How is he NOT a sentient being?

Namine can feel emotions due to the things I pointed out earlier, and she also wished to make amends to Sora. Would an unfeeling nobody spend a year chained to a slumbering person?"

He sat down, angry. Sometimes he really thought mewtwo had the right idea of what should be done to the world.

OoC: I think I gained enough evidence from Repliku's cross examination. I will skip it, and go straight to the main discussion, trying to support Repliku's facts.

OOC: Technically, they are working together as a team at the moment. They're both providing different pieces of evidence to support the same points. In other words, Xelax and Janexna have to disprove BOTH of the submitted evidence that were presented. I'd say that it's game, set and match for this Cross-Examination. :)

And I think Pika_Power should have his turn. We're kinda moving a bit fast... :huh:

-Also, I do know what each charge is I added lol. I thought it funny ICSP that you tried to get me to drop a charge by playing my knowledge on it. That was a good one. =:) I was actually pondering becoming a lawyer at one time and took some law classes. I decided to go for something else cuz well...no one likes lawyers even if Harvey cries to me when I say that.

-Sorry, Pika, had to answer the 'Objection' or you were next but in the end it works out that both spoke out any way. You presented a side that Harvey did not and vice versa. It works out.

Last thing, I think that some penalties are attached to the different Org members for the same incidences because they were there or in on it, but for the most part I do think it makes it interesting that each Org member has to be proven to have the charge as stated, rather than just saying because 'larxene is charged with this, Marluxia gets it with no chance for rebuttal'. It does make the rpg more interesting as Erkz said.

Sora watched the case now just playing tennis as he went from lawyer to lawyer. This case had only just begun and yet it felt like it had been going on for hours...had it? Ah well. This was one heck of a fight. "That's what aggravated means?" Sora needed to really pay more attention to school.

Repliku was ready to go over and rip that lawyer's head off about now. Prove he was sentient..."grrr" was all he could muster to keep himself quiet and in his seat. In his mind he could hear Gollum. oO(We hates dem all)Oo It voiced his sentiments exactly about Larxene and the lawyer at least.

Riku was just shaking his head. He looked over at Repliku who's fists were now dancing black energy around like wisps of smoke. How much longer he could contain it was a matter of opinion at this point. "...It's going to be okay. Don't let this get to you too much. This is just how these things work. It's annoying and makes anyone get angry to be talked about bad, but it's a necessity. It will work out."

Repliku scowled at Riku. He wasn't sure he was mad at Riku for the right reasons at this point. "You be called a fake repeatedly, a DOLL and tell me that you'd stand for it. No one else would. They got all over Pika for saying that thing about Nobodies but yet I'm supposed to hear this crap about me?? It's Reaaaaaaaally making me very angry. At least I'll have the last laugh and say they died by a doll." -.-

"They don't know what they are saying. You are as real as you want to be, just like anyone else. People can be really fake sometimes or very true to their beings. You be true and real and let them talk what they want. It'll all work out." Sora gave a light smile to try to help cheer up the other Riku which now he could tell the difference between the two much more easily because his friend Riku was older and taller now with longer hair now. Maybe that might comfort Repliku some too if he noticed. They had some noticeable difference to see.

"Grr...fine. I swear though if he keeps saying it I'm going to show him how -real- I am." Repliku's Darkness went down as he tried to swallow the rage and cool off.

OOC: Dude! It's going to be okay! I've noticed and I'm pretty sure everyone else has by now. (Repliku edited his above post) The real question is now that the arguments are set, can the defense actually reject BOTH of them? And I mean yours AND Harvey's. I think it's more like overkill on this one. (Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.) :)

Naminé looked at Roxas. "That poor Pokémon. It's sad that no one seems to be listening to him." She gripped his arm tightly. "I feel sorry for it."

Kairi was feeling the same way. She looked at Sora, Riku and Repliku...Wait. Wasn't Repliku supposed to be on the other side of the courtroom? Or was her mind playing tricks again? "How do you guys think this'll turn out?"

 

---OOC---- Repliku sits wherever he wants to. I don't even know where he's sitting. lol. But tell him he CAN'T sit somewhere. I dares you!

OOC: I did read them. I never noticed you edited and all. Sorry about that Pika. But really in the end it totally flows in with what Harvey said too. so it works out. No worries. We did get to moving a lot faster.

Harvey pats Pika on the shoulder. "You are doing great and no, I only felt the need to retract your first questions and statements. Do you see why now? I hope you do. It's not like I want to steal your show away or anything. You did great with this now and no, we aren't ignoring you." Harvey pulls out a bag of Skittles. "Here. Hope this cheers you up. You deserve it."

 

Pika_power was annoyed, plain and simple, then he had an idea on how to counter his attention repelling nature. He whipped out a game boy colour (pikachu edition) and started playing Pokemon yellow. There, he though. I have pitted the power of being ignored against the power of a gameboy colour. Someone always notices me when I play this thing. Either I will be noticed and my gameboy will be confiscated, or I will finally get past viridian Forest!

The pokemon sat back, content to wiggle his thumbs and watch the miniture pikachu make mincemeat of the pidgey.

Typically, the forces of the gameboy overpowered his attention barrier. Suddenly, a bag of skittles was dumped in his lap, knocking the gameboy onto the floor. "Oh great, he muttered, as he noticed the screen go blank.

He started absentmindedly sorting the skittles into the colour groups.

I assume that Repliku is still sitting with Kairi and the gang. . . but why would/should he be on the other side of the courtroom (with the organization) now?? O.o Unless of course I've made a mistake in my reading and he's on the defendant's side when he's supposed to on the other one? Oh no. . . I confused myslef. DD:


"Good God!" Axel thought to himself. The prosecutors were definitely ~keen~ on bringing Larxene down, and their defense attorney was also in the same grounds as well, but of course on the opposing side. So, this is what happens when egoistic people come together for debates. . . makes things interesting, moreover, highly amusing. Axel had to admit that this was indeed the most awesome thing he'd ever seen, considering he'd never been to court before. . . which was strange, for he was indeed a pyromaniac, and a bit crazy one at that too, and he'd never been sent to prison, nor had he ever been in any sort of trouble with the law for that matter anyway. Perhaps he was too slick to get away from it all before anyone else could've had the chance to notice.
However, here he was in court, and he was now indeed in trouble with the law. Though the case would eventually determine his fate, it actually gave him all the pleasure he needed to keep his carefree and ADD type personality in check. The entire time Larxene was being questioned and cross examined, he sat in his chair, his hands cupping his slender cheeks, eyes intently watching everyone with a huge grin on his face. None of the words which Larxene spoke regarding him hurt him in any way (if that was what she was intending to do), it rather amused him as to see just how much anger she'd reserved especially for him. His eyes wandered through the room, towards that little Pokémon he disliked so much. The Pokémon. . . I mean. . . Mr. Power had said a lot, but most of his words seemed to go unheard by the court at the beginning and Axel let out a small chuckle. That's what he gets for objecting to let him and Roxas speak for a moment, damn him. His eyes, however, did widen as the Pokémon pulled out a GameBoy Color, and began playing it, and only one thought raced through his mind, “Dammit! I want it.”

 

Axel was looking at him with lust in his eyes, and the poor Pokemon prosecutor had no idea why. It could be the skittles, but it looked like more than that. The pokemon suddenly had a disturbing idea. I have heard of Akuroku, but this is just ridiculous! I am a pokemon! The pokemon slowly leant over to Harvey. "Uh, excuse me... Mr. Birdman? I have a slight problem... I um... Think Axel might be err... Well just look at him... I am getting worried. What should I do?" Pika_power's face had taken on a greenish hue.

 

OOC: Mebbe it was a dare... Yeah though, you are right, no one put Repliku with charges so technically he's just a witness. So he's not sitting with the Organization really. He hasn't been sitting by the 'heroes' exactly either, kind of more to the middle or back having fun fuming on his own. He doesn't know if he -wants- to sit by any of them because he doesn't know how they feel about him or he feels about them. He has issues!

 

OoC: Repliku! Pika_power needs help. He is worried about Axel.

 

Harvey glanced over at Axel who was eying the poor Pokemon. He then followed the gaze direct as these little yellow lines appeared in his mind between Axel's eyes to their location and saw they went right to the Gameboy as it was in the Pokemon's hand. Another analysis popped up as he studied Axel's expression and his eyes went to the floor since the Gameboy fell. "I think he either wants the Gameboy or he likes your feet. One of those two options."
