~~*Organzation XIII goes to court*~~

OOC: I really did not mind the penalty... I got 4 more left before I get kicked out for contempt... (my actual reaction)

Xelax was somewhat dissapointed with the judges descision to penalize him. How dare he? Xelax presented evidence, to support his theory, Namine COULD use portals, but simply chose not too. He had evidence to back it up. Wheras the prosecution had no evidence other than thier testimony. But that was all irrevant at the current time.

He decided to speak up. "Your honor just to be clear, the charges are still pending correct? I would like Larxene to testify in her own defense, assuming she feels comfortable with it... It would be unfair for her not to have the opportunity." He glanced over at Larxene awaiting her reaction.

 

Larxene rolled her eyes at the pesky rat's words, hearing him from the low volume that she was listening to her music. If he wanted to see if she would be productive, maybe he should wait his furry butt until she actually makes the stand. She just wanted her trial over with, after she said the- productive- things she had to say. This was a odd court session anyway, considering she thought they were suppose to have a jury, but they weren't exactly present. Just what kind of rules applied to this particular case? The thought got broken, however, when the voices of the prosecution and Xelax cut through her ear, making her just look on boredly. First, she already made it clear enough that she could care less about this court, let alone bother to lie at all, to save what? Her own skin? Hah. There wasn't a need to. Glancing over at the other attorney, she replied with a short, "I've been feeling comfortable."

"If you are allowed to go to the stand, which there shouldn't be any reason not to, so I'm positive you will, do me the favor, and try to remain polite, or some form of good behavior, considering that it will either be us or the prosecution questioning you at some point," Janexna added, not wanting something atrocious to occur in the process of her presence. That wasn't something they needed. Nonetheless, Larxene didn't answer, and just simply gave her a look, before continuing to listen to the song she was enjoying, according to her more calmed composure. It didn't really matter what Larxene thought of the court, because for her, there was a different reason for her being here.

 

Something bothered Naminé about the whole situation. Larxene was acting as if this wouldn't affect her at all. True, she was brought back from the void to be formally charged of the whole thing. But...

She shook her head. Larxene should be worried, but clearly she thought that no punishment would bother her. Naminé looked up at the judge. Maybe if Judge Erkz told her what the sentence would be if she was found guilty, Larxene would actually take the whole situation seriously...

Kairi gave a sideways glance to Naminé, knowing what was going on through her mind. The defendant didn't seem all too worried about what would happen to her regardless. Kairi usually didn't take sides, but after everything that she heard from Naminé, plus the "devil may care" attitude, she felt like Larxene might be the arrogant punk that everyone seemed to think she was...

 

OOC: I totally love how Namine and Kairi can coach the judge without saying anything...

Xelax looked at Namine, now sitting in the seat. He for the first time noticed a similarity between her and Kairi... "I wonder if... nah, couldn't be..." he trailed off in his mind. As he obsevered them, he felt a burning on the back of his right hand. He rubbed it through his glove. He had never felt that before. It suprised him quite a bit. It was almost as if he could sense some sort of supernatural power eminating from the girls, as if they were trying to coerce him, or worse yet, the judge!

Xelax shook off the thoughts, knowing he could never prove it...

 

OOC: Well, considering I'm neither prosecutor nor defense attorney, I can't exactly do much else, now can I? :p
So, when do we get this trailer moving? And don't forget the format...

BIC:

Kairi noticed Xelax staring at them. 'Why's he looking this way?' she wondered. She felt slightly creeped out that the defense attorney's eyes seemed to gaze into her very soul (which was even more creepy since the guy's cloak overshadowed his face). She remembered when she sensed a dark aura coming from him that seemed to lower the temperature by a few degrees. Was it the power of nothingness or darkness that he drew his powers from? Or something more sinister...

Naminé remembered playing Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney and the Phoenix Wright trilogy. She couldn't believe that Mr. Xelax had been taught by Kristoph Gavin himself. It was her own opinion, sure. But she could sense the same mannerisms in this defense attorney. The only difference was that this one was a lot more aggressive than his mentor whereas Kristoph was more calm, cool and calculating. Plus, out of the defense attorneys she's known, this one just didn't know when to admit that his line of thinking could be wrong and to try a different approach. Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, Mia Fey, even Miles Edgeworth (even when technically he wasn't a defense attorney) would actually be able to think outside the box and have solid proof to backup their theories. However, Mr. Xelax was acting as if he himself was the center of all of this and could actually win by throwing out "OBJECTION!" and "GOTCHA!" whenever he believed that he was right. Naminé knew about the "Perceive System" as well. This defense attorney, though, probably missed the part where Mr. Justice could provide hard evidence after he found "the twitch." Whereas here he couldn't back it up and his persistence on a point just aggravated everyone in the courtroom. It didn't help that he never consulted his partner before making a conjecture.

Naminé looked at Janexna. She seemed a lot more cool-headed than her partner. She actually knew how to pick and choose her battles. Naminé almost admired her. Emphasis on "almost." This defense attorney seemed more capable and professional. But the way she held herself in this courtroom looked as if she had never been in this type of trial before with the Witness Testimonies and Cross-Examinations. She'd learn soon enough, though.

Then she turned her gaze to Mr. Birdman. He seemed to be the equivalent of Janexna. Calm, cool, and had wisdom and law school training to back up his suave demeanor. He still reminded her of some wrestling reject, though. Logic seemed plentiful in the prosecutor. But he really needed to cut down on the coffee...

And then there was the Pokémon prosecutor, Pika_Power. He loved Yellow Skittles. But when it came down to it, he seemed to be the equivalent of Mr. Xelax in terms of passion for the trial. It was almost admirable, as long as he knew when to consult his partner as well.

This was only her opinion, though. Both the prosecution and defense were pretty much equal when it came down to it. It was an even match. Now, if only they could actually agree on something...

Kairi gave a sideways glance at Naminé. The look in her eyes seemed to be getting judgmental again. Nudging her arm, she said, "You might want to lay off the glare. The lawyers down there seem to sense it."

Naminé reddened a little. "Oh, right." She leaned back in her chair and stared up at the ceiling. She felt like making out with Roxas. Or at least hugging him because of what she had been through...

 

OOC: Kairi and Namine need to stop going to visit the judge on break times. =:) Coercing the Judge..lolz

Riku studied Larxene on the stand. He had never met her before though he had heard of all of the members of the Organization. She was kind of an odd mix of bubbly and bright in persona and yet there was a dark seeming cruelty about her as well. What an odd combination! She was, like the other Organization members, someone who played off the bubbly blond image well and yet underneath it was a woman who had a serious intellect too, it seemed. Even a deadly persona. Studying the Organization members like this made him ponder how right it was to do, almost like he was scientifically analyzing them and he knew some of them at least did about the same like Xaldin and Saix. Was she also as crafty as Saix? He would wait and find out. He curbed his guilt though because he knew anyone who took the stand was going to be scrutinized. He wasn't sure he always admired his mind in where it went to but here it was a necessary evil.

Sora watched Larxene. He remembered what she had done and had just been confused then at her behavior and now, she was still as baffling. In life, he was sure she was not a very nice woman. If Sora knew what a sadist was, he'd call her that but instead she was just a person that liked to watch others suffer and confuse them. He pondered what her former life must've been like to make such an otherwise presumably friendly person turn this way. Maybe others had hurt her and this was a retaliation. Maybe she had a reason in there to be the way she had been at the Castle Oblivion. He munched on some M&Ms quietly and let them melt in his mouth, not his hands. That is what they were supposed to do, after all.

Repliku looked at Larxene. She was pretty well the same person he remembered her to be. Cheerful, electric, sadistic, almost like a high energy cat on the hunt. If she wasn't such a mean person, she'd have been fun to hang around. He bet she liked games and cool things like dinosaurs and tigers. It was funny how things turned out like this. He wondered what she was going to say. She seemed to be having to be coached by the Defense lawyer on how to be good. This almost made Repliku snicker because this was how Larxene was. She was her own person and she wouldn't be controlled like that. In a way, that made him and Larxene similar. He still hated what she had done to him but he knew he was from the Organization and connected to them just as much as he was to Riku.

 

OoC: Yeah, it is funny how Namine and Kari can affect those around them, isn't it?

Roxas Burst in through the doors, and quickly blurted out an apology. "Sorry I'm late your honour, I wandered away from Sora during the recess to see if this town has sea-salt Ice-cream. Ever since I rejoined Sora, my sense of time is all messed up."

He glanced around for a place to sit down. He noticed Axel, and headed to sit there, but then noticed Xomnas near him, and turned away. Seeing Namine, he blushed slightly, and headed over to sit next to her.
"Hey Namine, been a while since we have been like this, right? Was being a witness tough?"

 

OOC: Well, what else are they supposed to do? Just sit back and look pretty? :xp:

After what she'd been through, Naminé was so extremely happy to see him, she wrapped her arms around Roxas' neck and kissed him full on the lips.

After a few seconds passed and Naminé still didn't break it off, Kairi cleared her throat. "Um...could you guys do that outside? There's a trial still going on."

Naminé broke off blushing furiously. "Sorry. It's stressful being up there." Then to Roxas, she gave him a coy smile and licked her lips. "Sea-Salt tastes pretty good this time of day."

Kairi rolled her eyes. "Geez, get a room, you two."

Naminé only smirked. "You're just jealous because I did it to Roxas before you could do it to Sora."

Kairi shook her head in amusement. "Whatever you say, Naminé." Although she did wonder if Sora's lips tasted like chocolate...

 

Roxas almost fell over the seat backwards onto Tron, then said to Sora vua psychic link "I told you she wasn't pro-akuroku!"

He grinned sheepishly at Namine, and then said "I take that as it was more stressful than I thought?"

 

A smile crept onto Kairi's lips. 'Typical teenage love,' she thought to herself. But she knew the same thing was going on between her and Sora. Looking up at the judge, she wondered how the next round would take place. The defense called up Larxene to the witness stand before the prosecution could make a move on any of the other charges. Even though the prosecution was preparing to go, Kairi understood why the defense was calling up their own witness. It was fair after all, considering that Mr. Xelax screwed the defense with his stubborn way of dealing with issues. Of course, this was out of her hands and knew Naminé was thinking the same thing. Then again...

Kairi glanced at Naminé and was surprised that she still had a dreamy look on her face as she licked her lips almost subconsciously. 'That girl must REALLY like Sea-Salt Ice Cream," Kairi thought.

Naminé couldn't think of anything else at the moment except the fact that Roxas had finally shown up. The taste of Sea-Salt was still dancing on her tongue. As Roxas sat down next to her, she leaned her head against his shoulder and grabbed his hand affectionately. She knew that this blissful state of mind wouldn't last, so she made sure to enjoy every single second of it.

OOC: Yeah, I know. But Kairi and Naminé can't do anything else right now. I might as well have them develop their characters a bit more...

 

OOC: Okay...now Roxas is in and not part of Sora. Goodie. I did not see till now Pika Power apparently had the character. This changes things. I swear for some reason I didn't see that before. lol

Sora gave a wave to Roxas. It was interesting to see him here and yet feel a connection to him.

 

Pika_power looked over the witness box for a bit, while waiting for Larxane to stop the toughtalk and start the testifying. He eventually noticed Roxas and Namine. He only recognized what was going on from what he had read. He sighed to himself, regretful that he would never get to experience what they were. Ah well, the first generation pokemon thought to himself. That is what comes from being stubborn and not trading over to the Metellic series when I had the chance. At least I can say that I am the only pokemon in a gameboy game that has ever truly had a voice.

A ticket to Amber's cookie castle if anyone fully gets what Pika_power is thinking about. (Oh, and he is not gay, just to eliminate that option.)

Roxas would have waved back to Sora, but instead he sent a mental message. Sorry, I can't really wave back, my hand has been taken hostage!

 

The good news was, her anger was slowly, so slowly diminishing. The bad news being that it was because she was beginning to get bored, and tired, waiting and sitting on the table until the judge gave a say on whether she could make the stand or not, and in that case, was getting irritated for a complete different reason. She even begun to wonder about this iPod, that while she recognized it was a music player, she had to find a way to work it, though it was easy enough, since she hadn't really seen it. It wasn't like it was prominent on their world. Music players, sure, a brand like iPod? This was the first time she heard of it, really. Frowning, listening to another choice song as she ignored Janexna's constant examples on how to behave (did she really believe she was taking all this in?), to which she was closely ready to electrocute her for if she didn't shut up soon, her eyes travelled around the room. Searching for anything. It was there she caught Naminé giving a kiss to Roxas straight on the lips, who had shown up apparently, though that wasn't what made her raise her eyebrows. It was the action Naminé took...unlike her, as the move was too bold. Last time she checked, she was a meek, shy, fragile girl, easily breakable little thing to her delight, who will probably blush and be embarassed about kissing somebody, then actually doing it. It was odd...she couldn't really think of Naminé that way or picture her in that act...despite the fact that it was done right before her. It appeared like she got her happily ever after. How disgusting.

Finding that there was nothing else to think on the matter, neither did she care, she was nearly deciding herself to make the stand without permission of the judge. Then again, she did think this whole thing was a waste of her precious time now that she's come back, for whatever while it was. It was a shame she couldn't kick anyone in the gut in the court room, that would've entertained her. More like a certain redhead.

Janexna, having finally gotten that Larxene was tuning her out, sat down lazily in defeat. Now all she could do was only hope, and wait for the verdict if Larxene would testify. She closed her eyes, taking the chance for seconds rest, at least.

 

The doors burst open with a crash. Everyone's head turned to look at the disturbance. Smoke gushed into the room, making people choke. Then a chilling laugh echoed throughout the hall. "I will wash away the rest of the world, and begin anew with my clones..." Xemnas stood up, ready to set the newcomer in his place.
A black pokemon flew in through the doors, and impacted his head with a hollow "thud" Xemnas toppled over backwards out of the box, but then got sucked into the ball by an erie red light. The ball bounced on the ground once, then soared out of the room. Havock broke loose. Screams came from Airel and her friends, weapons were drawn by everyone. Balls poured in by the thousands, heading straight for the people. Roxas battered a few balls away from himself and Namine, but his keyblades were sucked into the threatening spheres, followed up by a single ball capturing him and Namine.
Sora went Final form, sucking in Donald and Goofy, but the sudden explosion of light drew every masterball in the room towards him. He got covered in balls, and made a few feable movements before vanishing. Judge Erkz wacked a few away with his Gavel, but one managed to hit his hat, while another hit his body.
Janexa got dispatched by larxane, who decided to have fun before being captured. Xelax was knocked to the floor by a ball, smug grin wiped off his face. Pika_power was electrocuting balls everywhere, keeping himself and Harvey safe.
The Org fought briefly, but soon got subdued.
The balls flew out of the room by the hundreds, captured people unable to do anything...


Pika_power snapped out of his daydream, amazed that Judge Erkz still hadn't given Larxane the go ahead. Thoroughly bored, he thought for a bit, then returned to the attack on the hall...

 

OOC: So many things and events to acknowledge... =O
Well I can't do much since neither am I a lawyer, nor a Judge. And my trial has yet to come . . . and considering how things are moving just with Lar-Lar, that might be a while.


Axel had basically ignored most of the court's session, and did not move from his seat during the brief recess, which was NOT lengthy as an hour like the Judge had stated it would be. Well, whatever. It didn't matter to him, and he was still a little ticked off about how Mr. Power attempted to bribe and manipulate him with Skittles just so he'd use his powers to hurt some alien thing hanging on the roof. However, the slight movement of Larxene had caought his attention and Axel crumpled up the empty Skittles packet, clenching it in a tight fist as his narrow eyes had followed Larxene walk out of the room, then followed by Marluxia. He best tried to ignore that, but the curiosity of what they might be talking about still lingered in his mind. Though curious, he kept still in his seat still clenching onto the empty crumpled Skittles packet, which he soon stuffed into his coat pocket as a man in white walked it . . . and apparently, it was a new Judge. So, now there had been a change of Judge, great. He didn't care much for the change, for he seemed to be well informed about the case, but it still made him wonder if the sudden change of Judge would bring about some sort of bias in court . . . well, he'll have to wait and see for that matter.
As the case once again began with the new Judge, he'd switched his attention to basically nothing, literally spacing out, once he'd realized that the prosecution of Larxene had long been switched and averted, to something completely different and slightly off topic, and which, as a matter of fact, applied more to flower boy than the Nymph. Just when he thought the case was moving faster, it seemed that it was now backtracking. Seemed like they'll be on this case for months now, and not just Larxene's trial in particular, but all. Nodding to himself, Axel was happy to hear Janexna request to move onto the next charge concerning Larxene. Was the case finally moving along then? As he continued to ponder on himself, a familiar presence entered the room, Roxas, and for once, Axel's face lit up to see his best buddy walk in. He was glad to see the boy walk toward him, but suddenly stopped, a little reluctant to come forward, then he retrace his steps and headed back to where Naminé and Sora were seated. This hurt him. Axel pouted and gave a dismal look at Roxas, wondering what made him change his mind. Was it him and/or his attitude towrds him in Twilight Town? Ah, now his best friend was too slipping from his hands.
Disappointed and a little dejected, he turned back on his seat to face the front. The organization members seemed to be very quiet today, whereas they constantly argue when they do indeed meet and come together in The Room Where The Nothing's Meet. Apparently Larxene too had returned to the courtroom followed by Marluxia when Axel was too busy thinking about where his life and friends was leading to. Larxene was asked to take a stand in the witness box by Janexna. Interesting . . . he only wondered what that woman might have in mind. Crossing his arms, he closed his eyes, for he was becoming quite bored with the case so far, and sleep was closing in on him. Maybe he should've headed to the café during break. A strong espresso was starting to sound real good right about now.



“Would you stop your fidgeting?” Barked Xaldin. Xigbar's constant movement was really beginning to get on his last nerves, especially how he kept elbowing him in his 'enthusiasm'.

“As if!” He was quick to reply, narrowing his eye at him and smirking. “At least I'm not sleeping like you are.”

Xaldin pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. There was something wrong with number two. Sure, the guy was tough when need be, but his actions sometimes were questionable. Perhaps the loss of his eye may have damaged his brain somehow. He spoke to him cooly, yet keeping the sternness of his voice, “Settle down, you're acting like Demyx.”

“WHAT?!” He gasped. “Hmph! As i—”

“Shut up and let me listen!” He said cutting Xigbar off from his trademark line. Eyeing Larxene from the small distance, he spoke, “I for one would like to hear what that traitor of a woman night have to say for herself if she goes up on the stand.”

Xigbar didn't bother replying back, only turned back to his seat muttering to himself. But he too was interested to see what Larxene might have to say about herself and where exactly their lawyer was attempting to go with this.

 

OOC - :\ He wants to go to the day-care. And make some eggs. *shot*

The judge facepalmed.

"Fine, since both the Prosecution and the Defense somewhat agree on this, Ms. Larxene may take the stand. As long as a shred of reasonable doubt exists, I cannot pass final judgement."

He leaned on his arm and awaited the inevitable testimony.

 

OoC: No, he stayed behind in a first generation cart where the only pokemon with genders were Nidoran. He chose the old tunes and such over the newer features. Duh. :p

About time, Pika_power thought. The judge was a bit of a slowpoke, even more so than the old one.

 

Sora looked over at Roxas and Namine and then his eyes trailed over to Axel. Axel just seemed somehow dejected and maybe disappointed somehow at the same time that he had a sort of gleam to his eyes. Sora sighed. Poor Axel. What got to Sora most was that Namine and Roxas were -not- even going out before and now suddenly they were kissing and were just friends...this was confusing. Their relationship of knowing each other a brief time was moving along farther than his and Kairi's...and they never declared they wanted such a thing. Life was confusing...best to ignore it.

However, he couldn't ignore Axel who had died to help Sora, which of course meant that it would help Roxas despite the confusion of it all, to go on and stop the Organization. He felt really sorry for him suddenly, recalling his death and sacrifice and that Namine had all of his attention. He sighed and gave a wave to Axel, not really understanding why Roxas and Namine were kissing when they hardly knew each other, but he hoped that Roxas would sooner or later pay attention. After a bit he finally just poked Roxas. "Come on, Roxas. You could say hi to people you've known longer or something and one that actually tried really hard to do things for you."

Riku seldom saw Sora get angry. He wasn't exactly sure what was going on. Then he saw Namine and Roxas kissing and just rolled his eyes. How sweet. How kind of immediate. Maybe Kairi was right and the two should just go off and get a room. Riku watched as Sora poked Roxas in some agitation and looked over at Axel. oOOooh, he thought mentally. It all clicked. Riku gave a wave to Axel as an offer that if he wanted to he should come over to see Roxas. For having no Heart, Roxas really did make some lame decisions at times that seemed purely based on self interest emotions but in the end it just meant he wasn't paying attention to everything. Riku would probably debate the issue that he seemed to have some kind of a Heart forever. It was the reason he defied DiZ and saved things of Twilight Town for him.

"Sora, it's alright. Hopefully, Axel will come over here."

Repliku yawned and sat upside down in his chair, feet hanging over the top. He was boooooooooored. He looked over at Namine kissing Roxas and just shook his head. Seemed Namine liked everyone but him. Such was life. A small part of him really wasn't sure at times if he hated her or not any way because of what she had done and an apology a year or so late was still...late. He had to think about it but in the end knew it didn't really matter. They were never friends.

 

OOC: Man, Repliku. There's just no pleasing any of your characters, is there? :dead:

Naminé was suddenly aware of a few eyes on her. She lifted her head and saw that Sora and Riku were looking at her...no, they were looking at Roxas. Knowing the moment was over, she sighed and sat up. Naminé gave Roxas a look. "I think maybe you SHOULD go and say hi to Axel."

Kairi's lips were slightly quivering as she saw Sora's expression. He wasn't jealous of Roxas and Naminé, was he? Granted, the lazy bum was pretty thick-headed when it came to romance. Kairi started to lean toward Sora to kiss him too when she suddenly realized that he was staring at Axel. It took a few seconds for it to click. She remembered something about Roxas and Axel being friends...

When Sora and Naminé started telling Roxas to say hello to Axel, it finally made sense. Axel was probably saddened that Roxas didn't even bother greeting him at all. Kairi could sympathize with Axel. After all, her two best friends (one of them she was extremely attracted to) had been away for a long time. She still felt slightly ticked about the whole kidnapping thing, but she knew that other's feelings should come first. Kairi wondered how the two would react when they finally conversed...

 

OOC: Nah, it's not like that...Just to anyone it would seem very weird that Namine and Roxas are over there kissing when they barely knew each other. It had to be mentioned. lol

Sora looked at Kairi as she leaned to kiss him but then turned to see what he was staring at. A kiss was so missed here because he didn't pay attention. Drat. He didn't mind though. Maybe sometime he'd get enough nerve to stop feeling so awkward and kiss the girl he had a big crush on. It could happen...someday.

Riku was wondering how the court room was going from verbal fights to now romantic feelings in the air. He put it off as Larxene's fault. Not really, but the thought entered his mind as a humorous explanation.
