"Hmm. I understand. Where's Xangel?"

I had to make her ask. I had to.

 

Gwyxn hesitated for a moment. "Xangel's..." She took a deep breath, choosing how to say it. "Xin...Xangel's....she's....she's gone."

OOC: And I hate to ruin this forbiding moment, but I've got to go. I'll be back on later tomorrow, peoples! ^^

 

"What?!" Xin replied, "What do you mean, 'gone'?"
She paused.
"I haven't gotten a chance to thank her yet..."

OOC: Why does it seem that everyone's going to bed early today?

 

OOC: Not me. I'm wide awake...although I'll be leaving like in an hour or shorter or so. lol

After the meeting had ended, Larxene had immediately portalled back to her room, and she was now sitting on the edge of her bed, with her legs crossed. Since they were going on a mission together, she knew they would have to discuss this...but she didn't really feel like going to Axel's room at the moment.
Right now, she knew she just kind of...wanted to talk to Marluxia. To ask him a couple of simple questions...like, how exactly can he love her with no feelings? He was a Nobody...and it's not like she could feel love either.
Strangely, the image of Axel appeared in her head when she thought of 'love,' and her cheeks felt warm. Why did the thought of him make her feel...like she was having an emotion?

 

Axel didn't expect this.

Axel didn't expect that Larxene had transported to her room faster than he did, and the fact that she was sitting there on the edge of her bed made his stomach churn. He reminiscence the conclusion that he had sought in the end of his contemplations along the meeting, that if he didn't want to get too deep, or closer than was worth, he would distance himself from her. Be safe in case something happened, whatever that would be, he still hasn't honestly gotten it. But that resolution proved harder now that he was actually looking at her, face to face.

And then the doubts began to come in from there, that perhpas excluding himself away from Larxene because of his suspicions was quite farfetched, when he didn't know the whole story. Yet now, he didn't know how to act. The way he always did, or to keep a cold shoulder like he intended to? Also, he had wanted to pry some information out of her to see if she would cave out what transpired between her and Marluxia.

Distant, or not distant? Or both? Maybe he could just get to business. Hopefully, she won't pester him about what was wrong with him in the morning. Axel noticed he kept his gaze down the whole time unintentionally, not wanting to see if she had noted his presence there.

Max sighed, as he stood atop the castle. He helled a black rose in his hand, as he looked out. "How interesting. It appears that orginization XIII has intrueged me more then usual for some reason. Their recklessness is going to end up hurting the wrong people after all" he muttered to himself as he looked out. It was not like him to think deeply about somthing like this. "How corrupt. Well, atleast they prove to be of use of my own plans."

 

OOC: Good afternoon everyone. :) It's not morning where I am anymore, CG. lol

Larxene thought she heard the soft shuffle of clothes, and she looked up to see Axel. She was startled, as she hadn't realized how long he had been there, but was determined not to show it.
She stood up, casually, as if he had just entered.
"Hey, Axel," she said. "I didn't see you come in."

 

Axel had to decide now.

And he decided on both.

Stay protected and guarded from her, and at the same while, be friendly. Or as much as he could be without that horrible 'feeling' taking over his senses. But first, he was going to look stupid in front of her if he kept his head down, and so when he heard her speak, he looked up, making eye contact.

Just relax, and see if you can get anything about Marluxia, and talk about your mission.

That was it. And keep your distance, but remain like your somewhat usual self. The first step, is not calling her 'Buggy', which was a very difficult task to accomplish."What's up, Larxene," Axel greeted to her 'hey'. inwardly wincing, but put on a false face of calmness. "I came in a while ago, but you were in thought. Anyway, you do know why I'm here for, right?"

 

He seems more serious than usual... Larxene thought, noticing that he hadn't called her 'buggy' and had been looking down at the floor as if depressed. He seemed so somber since this morning...what was bothering him so much? Just because she had missed what he had said for a moment? Making him repeat it didn't seem like something that would aggravate him...but then what? She wanted to ask, but didn't want to come out so boldly about it...she would get to it later, when the time was right.
"Yeah," she answered. "About what Xemnas wants us to do...I was thinking...that when we first arrive, we ought to check out the city a bit, for anything that might help us know more about it...instead of just intruding the castle first."
She hadn't really been contemplating this earlier, but it had come across her mind at the moment. It didn't sound like such a bad plan, even though it was kind of decided on whim.

 

Axel had the urge to say something smart-alecky back, but held himself. He already had a few plans that he thought of in about second, but they seemed good for caution, and for what they were about to do. He gave a nod to agree on her plan, and went forward to sit on the edge of her bed without permission, her fluffy white puffy cloud bed. Had Axel been his usual self, he would have been laying down on it. Though he wasn't, and sat rooted in the spot. He stayed silent for a moment, feeling quite awkward, but also shared his ideas.

"That's a good idea. Remember, that we're only suppose to find information about their powers, and how weak and strong they are. We got some of them, already, but if you're going to fight, once you get what we need, stop it. Because that's what our mission is about. To gather. But we also have to be cautious. I think is a good idea that you can use your cloning ability to throw some of them off, just in case, and...as for me, I was thinking asking Zexion for help on a illusion of some kind. A perfect illusion. We can't underestimate them, they might find us. And you heard the Superior. We can't fail."

After he finished with that, he simply waited for her thoughts on the matter. It was so odd. Not joking with her, or going into their usual arguments. He couldn't get too close, if something happens that might affect him terribly. But still...

 

What was wrong with him? This wasn't like Axel, to be so...serious about all of this. He didn't make a single sarcastic comment, nor a joking one. Something was definitely bothering him, but what? Larxene just had to find out soon...
"Alright," she nodded. "Well? Are we ready to do this then?"
She waited to hear Axel's response. Something sarcastic, or maybe something teasing? Even something as lame as calling her 'buggy' again? She hoped he would do something. She didn't like to see him like this...it wasn't like him, and she wanted to know what was wrong...and it was killing her, having to wait for the right time, if she knew she wanted answers.

 

"I'm ready when you are," Axel responded blankly, almost bored, gazing up at her sternly, his lips not even cracking a smile. He was honestly not looking forward to this, everyone in that Organization seemed to want to kill him, and if he doesn't find out what had happened between Marluxia and her, he won't be able to stop thinking about it while they do their job. And this needed his utmost concentration. But was now a good time?

Then again, Axel was never one to be patient or wait. He didn't know if she had noted how he found out about her contemplations, but whatever the case, it was to be done now. As casual as ever, he asked, "So, unto other things, did you get to see Marluxia?"

 

Larxene frowned. For sure, Axel was being bothered by something. I'm ready when you are? That's it? Nothing like he wasn't sure she was ready? Or 'of course I am'? Just a blank statement agreeing? And all with a stoic expression upon his face.
However, now that their mission was settled, she could move on to asking what she truly wanted to know...that is, until she heard Axel's inquiry.
She was startled to hear Marluxia's name, and nervousness rippled within her stomach again. She would have to talk with him later, ask him some questions...what was so upsetting about this?
Keeping a calm face, she answered nonchalantly, "Not today, why do you ask?"
Why did Axel ask? Was something about Marluxia bothering him? As she had been staring at his chair the moment she asked him to repeat what he had said earlier. But if so, why?

 

OOC: Blame school; that's why I'm always off earlier on the weekdays. :/

"Gone as in, she took off on Reixa. And now, thanks to her taking off, I had to go look for her, while Reixa tried some stupid stunt and now she's probably permanantly screwed up and..." Gwyxn only talked fast when she was either really hyper or bummed, which she herself had always found extremely odd. Speaking of odd...

She stopped mid-sentence when she realized that the black rose she'd recieved from that guy at the resturant earlier still hung behind her ear. I thought I took that off earlier...

 

........I feel so left out.......*sigh*.......ah well.....time to create some action myself.

Person- Thief! Thief! You stole all my money from the store!

What? No, I didn't!

Yes you did! I saw you!

I was here the whole time.

LIAR!

*sigh*....

She starts running and is being pursued by the man and his fellow neighbors.

 

OOC: Well...you'll probably end up with action if you ever show back up at headquaters. I doubt many people are happy you disappeared. :P

 

Then freaking come and chase me........:P

 

"I think you figured out why," Axel replied offhandedly, making sure that nothing bitter or nothing portraying anger was in his tone. Just need to sound easy, at peace, and like they were talking about some simple things that didn't matter. And he was quite amazed that he succeeded after that same rush of 'emotion' passed through him again at mentioning his name. But he was reluctant to find out what it was that they did. What if it was bad? He was already confused with the mixed 'feelings', and didn't understand why the deal was bothering him so much in the first place, so did he want the extra weight?

But if he didn't, he would have to keep guessing. Taking in a breath, preparing himself for whatever it was that was going to occur next, he also added, "I noticed the way you behaved in the morning. And you never acted this way when talking about Marluxia. And before you go on to deny it, you can't lie to me. I know something happened. So either you spill it, or I'll find out another way."

Axel had to give himself a pat in the back. He sounded so trivial, as if he didnt really care, but curious all the same. Fantastic.

 

So that truly was what was bothering him? Marluxia? How surprising that she had assumed correctly. But why did he care? Could he possibly be jealous? But he was a Nobody, he couldn't feel...not to mention, to be feeling 'jealous,' he would have to have some sort of affection towards her...which of course he didn't. They might've made out, like twice, but it didn't mean anything...he was just trying to provoke her, or something else. There could be no way he liked her that way.
But now, focusing on the problem, what was she supposed to tell him? That the two kissed last night but she had pushed him away? And did she even need to tell him anything? But...as he had said, either she "spill it" or he'll "find out another way". And it was definitely better to have her tell him, instead of having him discover it through Marluxia, or by some other alternative.
"He kissed me yesterday, but I pushed him away," Larxene answered, simply. "I don't know what he was thinking, but I'm sure he was only playing around."
She sounded as if the whole situation with the Graceful Assassin wasn't bothering her, when in fact, it kept sending waves of nervousness through her at the mere mention of his name.
However, she still realized that she had yet to know why Axel was upset about this...if this was truly what bothered him.
"So has that been bothering you? It's nothing to worry about you know."
