Organization XIII - It's a beautiful day!

Luxord couldn't even give Xigbar his birthday present. He never had the time. He walked out of the lab and walked out into the courtyard of the castle and sat in the grass. He pulled out a stick and started sketching a picture of a chibi Xigbar into the dirt, sighing a bit before throwing the stick down in anger and beginning to bang his head agenst the ground. He continued to blame himself for what happened to Xigbar, seeing that he normaly blamed himself for things that happened.

 

Xigbar blinked, staring at the Hot Topic bag in his hand. He reached inside tentively, then pulled out the Invader Zim shirt, his eyes wide with awe. "Wow...." he whispered, spreading it out so he could see it better. Then, he tried it on. It was way to big for him in this form, but it was just perfect to Xigbar. He smiled sadly. "I really don't deserve a friend like him..." He sighed and sat back down. He wanted to talk to Xemnas... Badly. He wanted to talk to ANYONE, but he... couldn't. Just couldn't. He wasn't about to put everyone's life in danger because of his petty needs. Besides... I can handle it... Right...? His stomach turned; he groaned a little, holding it.

It was at that particular moment that a stranger passing by noticed at little boy. It was a man, about in his late 20's. He had bright blue eyes and jet black hair that seemed to cover them and was dressed in a light blue sweatshirt and black sweatpants - both of which had the logo "Puma" on them. He blinked, then walked up to Xigbar. "Are you okay, there, little fellah...?"
Xigbar's mind flashed. "Hey, now... What's wrong?" His eyes narrowed. "Leave... Me... Alone..." he growled, not even looking up. His voice was dangerously low.
The stranger blinked again, not picking up on the dark aura startig to surround Xiggy. "Oh come on..." he persuaded. "Don't you wanna tell me what's wrong?"
"I could take you back to my house if you want.... You can tell me what happend there and we could have sodas or something..." A dark shadow passed over Xigbar's face. He slowly stood up on the bench, and pulled out one of his guns. He aimed it at the strander's face. "Go....... Away...." he growled, this time a little more forcefully.
The man curiously stared at the gun. "Hey... What's that ya got there...? Some sorta t--"

Xigbar snapped. "DAMNIT!!!!!" He swung the gun over at a nearby streetlight and fired. To the guy's amazement, something shot out. A woman screamed, and a few people scrambled out of the way of the falling shards of glass and debris.

Xigbar furiously pointed at the streetlight. "YA SEE THAT?!?!?!" he screamed.
The man just looked back at him, fear and shock in his eyes.
"I SAID, 'DID YOU SEE THAT?!?!?!!?!?'"

"Y-Y-Yes!" the man wailed back.
"Well, if I count to ten, and you're STILL here by the time I'm done, THAT WILL BE YOUR ****IN' FACE!!!!!!!! YA HEAR ME?!?!?!?!THAT WILL BE YOUR ****IN' FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He aimed the gun back at the guy's head. "Start walkin'!"

The man quickly began backing up, his hands raised to show he didn't want to do Xigbar any harm. His eyes still had that frightened look in them. "Okay!" he whimpered, eyeing the gun nervously. "I'm... I'm going... J-Just don't sh--"

"NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" Xigbar screamed, waving his arms around, violently. "You! Do NOT! TALK to me!!!!! DO NOT ****IN' TALK TO ME, YA HEAR?!?!?!?!"

The man yelped, turned, and ran off, screaming. Xigbar screamed after him, "Yeah, you'd BETTER run!!!!!" He sat there for a moment, panting, trying to get his pulse back to normal, when he looked around. There was a huge crowd staring at him with a shocked expression. They were looking at him as if he was the devil's child. Xigbar glanced around a few times, then demanded, "What the hell are YOU starin' at?!"

They all gasped, then hurried back to what they were doing. Within seconds, the place was practically deserted.

Xigbar sighed and looked up. "It's getting dark..." It was a little after sunset, but not exactly dark enough to be night yet. He knew he should go back to the castle now, but he so scared he was gonna hurt someone... He decided to go somewhere else. He loked around a little, then spotted a book store. Perfect...

Xigbar looked around. It was one of those bookstores with a coffee shop in it, too. Coffee shop... Just then, Xigbar remembered how hungry he really was. He hadn't eaten anything for days... Except for a little icecreme, of course, but when did that count as real food?

Unable to control himself, he walked up to the display of cakes and other patries. Ugh... It all looks so gooood... If only...
"Hey, kid, ya want somethin'?" Xigbar looked up. A red-haired waitress with hair that came just below her shoulders was staring at him. She blew a bubble with her gum, watching him with her dark green eyes.

Xigbar looked down at the food. "Oh, me? Uh... No..." He walked backwards a couple of steps, still staring at the food. "Just... Just looking..."
She stared at him a little more, then said, "Alright, then," and walked away.

Xigbar stared at the food a little more, then sighed and wandered around in the bookstore a little more. Finally, he found the place where all the manga were stored. He grinned, then browed through the books a little. "Hm... 'Yotsuba&!'... Interesting title... Wonder what it's about...?"

He went back to the huge beeny-bag chairs in the back, got confortable, and started reading. Within minutes, he was cracking up, practically laughing himself into a coma. "This is... Pretty good!" he exclaimed grinning. He curled up in the chair a little more, and continued reading.

((Sorry... I just wanted to catch up, ya know? XD *brain explodes*

P.S. - "Yotsuba&!" is an actual manga... And it's hilarious. Check it out sometime! DO IT! XDDDD))

 

After getting no response from Demyx, Axel led them to the couch and sat him and himself down. He put his arm around Demyx and kissed his neck. "Hmm?" He asked, nuzzling the musician's shoulder.

 

This was... Different... No thoughts.. None. Just actions. No sound, either... I was staring at someone.... Someone familiar... He was about the same size as me... If not a little shorter... And they had very short, blond hair. He sat up and said something I couldn't hear. I said something back... I think...

He blinked, and came closer to me, his lips moving in silent words. I felt a light, airy feeling in my hest as I giggled, then I said something else, just to feel myself talk. His eyes shone with anxiousness. His mouth moved rapidly.

I stared at him, then said something else. For some reason, this made me laugh. I rolled around on the floor, enjoying the feeling of it, then stopped. I sat up, and said something to the boy again. Suddenly, I realized he was trespassing.

His lips moved as he scratched his head. There was confusion in his eyes. Like I cared. My instict told me to attack the tresspasser. I did. At first I punched him a few times, but that got tiring quick. I suddenly got a bloodlust... I didn't just want to hurt him anymor.... I wanted to KILL him. I wrapped my hands around his neck and started to--

"Hey, kid! Wake up!"

What...? Who-?

"C'mon, kid... I wake up! I wanna go home!"

Slowly, Xigbar opened his eyes.

 

As Xemnas sat bathing in the light of the moon-like collection of hearts, he reached inside his cloak pocket and pulled out the sketch that Naminé girl had made of him.

It really is an extraordinary likeness, Xemnas thought.

Xemnas was so lost in the picture and thoughts of the girl who drew it that he didn't notice the footsteps behind him.

((OOC: And just who is behind Xemnas? That's up to you to decide! Somebody come find me? Please? Anybody will do, I just want to interact with someone.))

Saix wandered through the halls of Castle Oblivion aimlessly. He sighed. This is pointless... I need something to do... Or at least a subordinate to yell at... He glanced around. I wonder where Xemnas is...

He looked in The Superior's room, but he wasn't there. He blinked and started looking everywhere - in the kitchen, outside, in the living room (but he quickly left, not wanting to talk to Axel and Demyx) - everywhere he could think off.

Finally, he sighed and climbed up the steps to padio on to of the castle. He must of left... Oh well... At least I can still look at Kingdom Hearts...

To his suprise, he found Xemnas sitting there, hunched over something. "Of course..." he muttered rolling his eyes. He walked up to The Superior.

"Xemnas..."

 

"Gahh!" Xemnas jumped.

"Oh, it's you," he said when he saw Saix there. He quickly stuffed the drawing back into his inner cloak pocket.

Sitting back down, Xemnas continued "Hey, I'm sorry about earlier. I was unnecessarily rude to you. You must admit you have a bit of a reputation, but I was venting my own frustrations on you. I have to stop doing that to people."

Xemnas motioned to an empty beach chair next to him. "If your being here does not relate to some catastrophie I must at once attend to, would you like to join me in a drink? It's just Orange Soda, but I'd welcome the company."

 

Saix nodded silently, smiling faintly. He sat down, and poured himself a glass of the orange soda. "You know..." he started, "I was actually planning to ask you if you needed anything done... But, it would seem that you're taking a break from all the chaos today." He took a sip of the soda, but then his eyes flickered back to the growing mass of hearts. He stared at it for a while, then murmured, "It's beautiful, isn't it...?" His eyes shone admiringly at the huge heart.

Luxord winced, then sat up, rubbing his head. Specks of dirt was sticking to the tear-stains running down his face. He wiped his face off, still sniffing, then looked up at the sky. "Wait... It's so dark out now...!" He thought back at what Xigbar had said before - "I'm gonna go away - B-But just for a little bit!" He looked back up at the sky. Well, if he WAS going to be gone for a little bit, he shoulda been back by now, right?! He could feel himself starting to panic. Oh no! What if something bad happened to him again?! I couldn't bare it if...! Tears started to form in his eyes.

Then, he stood up and shook his head, both fear and dertermination in in his eyes. "Okay, Luxord... Deep breaths... Check out the whole castle BEFORE you start freaking out... Who knows? He could be watching TV in the living room right now, or making himself a snack in the kitchen!" He laughed weakly then started scampering back to the kitchen. Sure, beating the crap out of himself might relieve a little frustration, but actually getting up and DOING something was the only way he'd feel better.

 

Xemnas looked up at the small mass. "It will be even more beautiful when it's completed. Or, at least, according to my calculations," he sighed before continuing, "So far, my calculations haven't exactly landed us anywhere good."

"Tell me, Saix," he said after a breif time, "who were you really, before the Heartless? What did you do? I only ever knew your name before, which is how I renamed you. But...I'd like to know the whole person."

Saix froze, his glass of soda inches from his lips. He stayed in that position for a few uncomfortable moment, then quietly set the drink down. He twiddled his fingers a moment, cleared his throat, and then murmured, "I'd rather not talk about it right now..." He was purposely trying to avoid Xemnas's eyes. He paused again, then said, "... If it's alright with you, of course..."

Luxord's panic grew more and more with each empty room he visited. WHERE THE HECK IS XIGGY?!?!?! he thought, frantically. He dashed into the living room, looking around. His face brightened. "AH!!! Axel! Demyx!" He rushed up to the two, his face bright with hope. "Have you seen Xigbar around?" Please say yes... Please say yes... Please say yes... he thought.

Axel looked over at Luxord and raised an eyebrow. "Uhhh, no. Haven't heard from anyone, really." He sighed and scratched his head.

 

"Ehh, suit yourself," Xemnas sighed.

After a beat, Xemnas turned back to Saix.

"You know, you really need to open up more, Saix. This whole castle does, I think, but you especially seem to have a perpetual insect up your rectum. If you don't lighten up, you won't last long enough to get your heart back. And to lighten up, I think, you need to open up. Vent someway constructive. I know I probably sound like some flamboyant psychotherapist spouting New Age philosophy that I have no idea of regarding the true definition. But I worry about you sometimes. I worry about all of you."

Xemnas blinked.

"God, how many times have I said that today?" He sighed as he continued, "I've lost count."

 

Saix looked like a little child being scolded by his parents right at that moment. "Well, uh..." He finally looked back up at Xemnas. "I, uh..." He trailed off, staring at Xemnas's face. He leaned forward, peering closer at The Superior's face. "I just noticed, but... You have a bruise on your cheek. Right..." he pointed to the place were Xigbar had punched Xemnas earlier. "...There."

Suddenly, his eyes narrowed, and emitted a low growl. "Who did this to you?" he demanded, standing up. He balled his hands into tight fists, his eyes agrily darting around the open space. "Was it Marluxia? Whoever it was, I'll make sure they don't get off easy..." With that, he pounded his fist into his hand.

Luxord's smile slowly melted off his face. He lowered his eyes to the ground, heartbroken. He gave a little sigh then plopped down on the ground. He sat there, just staring at his hands. I don't even know why I'm trying... His eyes teared up again.

 

"Lux?" Axel spoke, "You okay?" He went down to the ground to where Luxord was sitting and put his arms around the gamble. "Is there anything you want to talk about?"

 

"Ahhh, no need for that, Saix," said Xemnas quickly. "Xigbar was just freaking out earlier. He's had kind of a stressful day. Being attacked and all that, though it's not my place to discuss."

Xemnas chuckled.

"And thanks for your show of protection, Saix, but I think I can take care of myself. It's me who should be protecting all of you. Being the Superior isn't all about shouting orders. Being a good leader is also about taking care of those you lead."

 

Saix looked back down at Xemnas for a moment, then sighed and sat back down. "Yes, I suppose you're right..." he murmured, rubbing the back of his head. "Maybe that's why I'd never make a good leader..."

Luxord sobbed, and held onto Axel, tears spilling down his cheeks. "Xigbar ran away again..." he whimpered. "He said he'd be back soon... I don't know where he's gone, though, and-and it's been hours since I've seen him! I'm so scared something might have happened to him again..." Unable to hold it in any longer, he started sobbing.

 

"Don't get yourself down," said Xemnas. "You've just got to work on it. and try to be cheerful about it."

Xemnas waved his hand and another bottle of soda appeared. He poured himself another glass and topped off Saix's.

"You know, it's the little moments in life you treasure."

 

Saix smiled again, and raised his glass. "Thanks, Xemnas." He took long drink, then was silent again. "Actually..." he started, "What happened with Xigbar? Why did his disappear in the first place?" He rested his face in his palm and listened.

 

"Ahh. Well, I don't know the entire story. Apparently, what happened was that Marluxia was trying to play a trick on Vexen which backfired, resulting in Marluxia, Xigbar, and Luxord becoming children. Marluxia was cured later on, but Xigbar and Luxord remained de-aged. They got in a fight exacerbated by Axel, and Xigber left on his own where he was picked up by a pedophile. He escaped with some help from yours truly, but ever since he, well, he hasn't been himself. He felt he needed to go off on his own for a bit, and I told him to meet me here when he was ready."

Xemnas smiled, "This has become sort of a usual spot for us, kind of like James Spader and William shatner at the end of each episode of the TV show 'Boston Legal.'"

 

Saix blinked and looked back up at Kingdom Hearts. Hmmmm... Seems like it's nice to have friends... I should try it sometime... Suddenly, he gasped, and looked back at Xemnas. "Wait... Did you say 'pedophile' just now???" he asked, narrowing his eyes. Once again, he was ready to chuck something at someone's head.
