~ Organization XIII In WalMart ~

"Thanks Kairi..." he smiled. "Any luck at all?"
He looked at the dark store wondering why Sephiroth hadn't yet fixed the problem.
"He should've maneged the MCP problem by now." he thought. He sighed and went back to dealing with is cash register. He rememberd that there were more registere s that needed to be fixed after he was done with the first floor, about 23 more registers remained for him to fix on the second and thrid floor.
"oh no..." he mumbled before going back to work. He'd better hurry. As he was about to go back to work, he noticed Sephiroth apporach them. Looking at the calcualor he grumbled a little, but he had no choice. He gave a stern look at him and picked up the calculator.
"Are you serious?"

 

"The control panel is damaged beyond repair, if I rewire the system the building may explode if the MPC is still in operation somehow, and I will be powerless to stop it."

The One Winged Angel then pulls out his cell phone, and dialed a number, "This is Sephiroth, I need a new network computer delivered ASAP!" he put his phone away.

 

"No luck..." Kairi said and took the calculator. "Well, this is certainly easier than trying to fix it..." She said. A customre came up to her with two carts of groceries. She facepalmed. "Oh, great..." She started putting in the amount of each item. "Milk... $3... eggs... $4..."

 

Sephiroth corrected Kairi, "Actually, eggs are $3.99." he said as though it was a matter of fact.

 

"Hmph..." He looked at Sephiroth who had completely ignored him. "How long will that take..... sir?"
Still holding the calculator in his hands, he looked at the customers piling up making quite a long line. He sighed is disappointment and looked at Sephiroth with tired eyes.
"Damn that MCP... i'd like to kick that thing in it's keister." he thought.

 

"Should be delivered sometime today..." Sephiroth answered, "I called a company which contains the strongest anti-virus program available, Tran or something like that, to ensure this won't happen again."

 

"Oh... sorry, sir..." Kairi said and subtracted 1 cent from the calculator. What the h*ll does it matter?! she thought to herself.

 

"Do you mean TRON sir?" he siad correcting him in a matter-of-fact tone. He nodded at the customer who was waiting in front of the line. He approached Riku at the counter and placed his items.
"err..." he began punching in the numbers in his calculator. "$19.99 for the shirt... $22.99 for the jeans... " he trailed off accounting for each item.

 

"Tron... so thats what its called." Sephiroth trailed off momentarily. He was suprised at Riku's lack of respect towards him, but knew his conficence could be used for the benifit of K-Mart. "Very well, this front end seems capable of running itself." Quite content with the way the store's gears started turning once again. "Once the new network arrives, I will be looking for some sort of retaliatiation," he takes a moment to read the teens nametag, "Do you want to try it out Riku? There will be a raise if it goes well with you." he promised...

 

"Because you had it first, and when you were done and used it, the lamp went to him," Larxene hissed harshly, though his words stopped her from attacking anymore, willing to hear what excuse he had to say. She wasn't that reckless and unable to understand to not even listen, but she didn't even know why there was a reason to doubt Marluxia, he would never lie to her. Yet...something told her to listen to Axel. She was pissed off, upset, wanting to rip him apart, and yet something was telling her to listen...it was the same feeling over again when Marluxia was about to kiss her, and where the "ache" came from. Either way, she was somewhat pressured and impatient, and she had to get things out of her chest, "I don't really know how you're going to explain that, because I don't even remember kissing you or even anything at all, so I must've been in some spell. You wished for me to lust and love you, where I even...I don't know what I did, just don't think much on it. All Marluxia did was reverse it when he saw what you were doing on camera. When the lamp came to him, he took away the love you placed on me and transported me where he was."

For a minute, the words sounded somewhat wrong bow that they were out in the air, but her eyes dilated dangerously as she ranted on about the next part, her voice quivering without her consent as the "ache" came back, "And when he confronted you about it, all you said was that I 'didn't matter', that I was a b*tch, and that you were 'looking for some a**', and that you didn't lose anything from me. Well, hell, than fine! Should've told me that in the first place, that way I would've never talked to you."

 

"A raise?" he raised an eyebrow at the word. Who DIDN'T want more munny. He still continued to count the items while he talked with his boss.
"sure sir... you can count me in... oh uhh... That'll be $123.56... tax included." he said to the customer. "and cash only sir."
He looked over to Kairi who was still trying to keep up with her accounting. He gave her a huge smile before going back to work.

 

Kairi kept clicking the buttons on the calculator, but she kept messing up and having to start over. "White Satin Dress... $23.95... wait... $24.95..." She shook her head and tried to remember. She soon remembered that it was $24.95 and entered that in the calculator. Once she finished with that customer, she looked over at Riku. Seeing him smile, she smiled back. Then she went on to helping the next customer.

 

Sephiroth was impressed with the diligence of his two cashiers. Only he thought to himself, Isn't this Tifa's job? Where is she?

 

Riku tried his best to keep up with his pace for the lines were getting bigger by the second. It was already hard to work without the use of a cash redister, and it made it worse to have only two cashiers working.
"where is everyone else?" he asked. "Thank you! come again."
He gestured the next customer and went back to work. He'd never used a calculator this much... or this fast before. He curled his lips trying to concentrate, though he still managed to screw up once in a while. What would've usually taken fron 5-7 minutes now took 10-15 minues. He sighed in frustration for he had to calculate the total twice just to make sure there were no mistakes in his count. His arm behan to feel sore and his eyes became tired by the minute. He needed a drink.. no he needed a cash register NOW and fast.
"damn that MCP!! BURN IN HELL YOU PIECE OF CRAP!" he thought scowling.
"Ok m'am... that will be $50.84.... cash please." he muttered. "thnak you.... come again..... NEXT!!!"

 

Kairi smiled as she worked. She calculated the total of everything and then did it again to make sure. Even though she kept messing up and having to start over, and even though it was still frustrating, she was enjoying herself. She hummed a soft tune as she inserted the numbers into the calculator. "Your total is $37.42," she said and then put the money into a small safe once the customer had given it to her. Then she'd smile and say, "Thank you for shopping at K Mart and have a nice day!" Every now and again she'd even talk with some of the customers to try and be friendly. When she looked over at Riku, she noticed he was tired. "You need to take a break, Riku...?" She asked. "I can handle it if you do..." She smiled.

 

He was happy to see Kairi offering her help, but he could not do that to her. There were only two cashiers working, leaving Kairi here is equivilant to leaving her in a pit filled with heartlesses.
"No Kairi.. it's ok.." he smiled. "I can handle this Don't worry about me. But if you want a break go on ahead."
He looked at the ever growing line and cursed under his breath. He checked his watch to see what time the store will close... it wasn't far way. He sighed in relief and looked over to Kairi once more.
"Kairi... seeing that there isn't any electricity in any of the machines here...could you please go around the stor and tell the customers we'll be closing in 30 minutes... I'll take care of the rest here."

 

Kairi smiled. "Like I'm actually going to leave you here by yourself!" She said and laughed. "This is why we have emergency backup stuff..." She said and reached into the cabinet under the counter. After rustling around for a bit, she pulled out a loudspeaker. "This should work..." She said and flipped the switch to turn it on. Then she began to speak into it. "Attention K Mart shoppers... The store will be closing in 30 minutes. Thank you." She then turned the loudspeaker off and put it under the counter. Then, she went back to helping out the customers with checking out. "Alright... Let's get this done so we can get out of here, huh?" She said to Riku and laughed.

 

"Good save Kairi." riku chuckeld. "Great then... makes both your's and my life a lot easier."
He started to work faster than he'd ever worked before, for he knew now that the closing announcement had been announced, the customers would be piling up like crazy.
"NEXT!" he yelled. He took the items, quickly scanning the price with his teal eyes and punched in the numbers onto his calculator, mumbling something as he worked. Once in a while his eyes would gaze up to see how Kairi was doing. She looks beautiful today.... he thought.

 

Xaldin didn't answer. "Either he wanted me in this situation, or he's trying to not get involved." he thought. So he replied, 'If you didn't want to get involved, you should've said something." He left going back in the Staff Lounge where the wall he slammed fell. There, he saw Roxas bumming around.

Seifer started to poke holes in the ceiling. Eventually, he ended up back in the back room with the blown up panel. He looked into the panel. "Huh? What's that?" There was something glowing in it. He went out to grab it. As soon as he touched it, a blue light came out and scanned him. It turned his entire body and weapons into data. The scanning light transferred him to inside the glowing object.

 

Kairi smiled. "Thanks..." She said and then turned to her next customer. Quickly, she took each item and punched in the price on her calculator. Despite how frustrated she was getting without the cash register, she made sure that she was always smiling and being friendly. However, she didn't start conversations with the customers anymore. She decided that it was slowing her down a bit, and she needed to get all of these people checked out before closing time. "Your total is $102.83... Thank you for shopping at Kmart." She smiled and started to punch in the numbers for the next customer. She glanced over at Riku to see how he was doing. It seemed like he was starting to get the hang of not using a calculator. "Try not to rush it, or you'll mess up..." She told him with a smile.
