Organization ..... 17??

Xika put her hand on Iraix's forehead. "No fever." she murmured. "Has she been drinking enough water?"

 

"Yeah." he said.

 

Something stirred in Xika's memory, but she ignored it. "Why don't we get her inside?" she suggested. "Since I don't know the way...." she gestured for the guy to lead.

 

"Yeah." he said, carrying her in.

 

Xika followed, blinking as she stepped out of the light. "Your house is so pretty." she murmured, following the guy. "I'm Xika, by the way." How could they just stay here, safe?

 

"I'm Kylex." he said.

 

"Kylex......you got her? Or you want me to help?" Xika nodded toward Iraix. "I think she will be fine." Something stirred in her memory again, and again she ignored it.

 

"I'm fine." he said.

 

Xika studied him. "You don't say much, do you?" she asked. She leaned against the door, watching him.

 

"Not when I don't have much to say." he said.

 

Xika studied him "I see." She decided to put him in the silent, strong profile. Only a danger if she threatened someone close to him. She studied the house, taking in the simple perfection of it all. "How do you manage this?" she asked. "The house, the safety of it all."

 

"Well, we just moved in. Also, no one knows where we are." he said.

 

"Oh....that makes sense. I won't tell anyone." she smiled, crossing her heart. Or where her heart would be. "Promise."

 

"Thank you." he said.

 

Xika frowned. "You thought I would give you up?"

"I did not say that." he said. "I was merely thanking you."

 

Xika frowned, thinking it over. "So why does no one know you are here?" she asked. She needed more answers to the dangers in this world, and to what she could do.

 

Xika looked at KuaXa, and nodded slightly. She stepped back toward him a little.

 

Xika watched Kylex. He didn't seem like he would hurt them......but KuaXa had found her and cared for her.....she backed toward KuaXa, not taking her eyes off Kylex. "I hope Iraix feels better." she said.

 

"I do too." he said. "But you can stay if you want. You're welcome here."
