Orbs of Life

Zephine realized that whatever Erza had done last turn...did absolutely nothing. Well, that was interesting. Nevertheless, Alkes was still pretty banged up, and with apparently no way to get him out of his critical state, Zephine could only stay on the safe side and continue to friend block for him.

Another weapon change that she did pretty much nothing with. The less she did, the easier thing were for them he figured. So he just went ahead and attacked her with his sword.

Hunter stood facing Erza. Alkes injured, Erza doing a strategic move and obviously using something that would screw over their next attack, and fatigue setting in. It wasn't the best of situations to be in, but it was far from the worst. Hunter would not let it get to the worst. "Erza Knightwalker, you were a fool to think that challenging us would work! We are an undefeatable team, the godliest of gods, and the most overpowered group you will ever lay eyes upon!" he shouted. Leaping into the air, he put his palms together as he concentrated all his remaining magical energy into this one, final attack. "But you will not live to regret it!" he cried, landing in front of Erza and releasing his concentrated energy at once.​

And causing absolutely nothing to happen.

Opening his eyes, Hunter looked forward to see that Erza was unharmed. Right, MP was a thing. Well, that sucked. "And you were stupid enough to think I would go for the obvious magical attack once more! I just wanted to make you think that's what I was going to do! What I really wanted to do was this!" he shouted, attempting to release another blast of arcane energy. Nothing happened once more. Well, apparently he couldn't will himself to get more MP, that was new. So, acting quickly he lunged forward with his claws ready to kill.


Hunter attacked!​

 

Another spear, this woman just cant keep her mind when it came to these spears. The magic seemed to hamper her, but Alkes did not really wish to rely on magic for now. There was nothing else that Alkes could really do at present except attack once again with Strong Attack.

 

She switched back to that other spear. The one that cut magic in half. Okay, that means now it was time for a physical attack, and she was now able to do so. Dawn used Strong Attack against Erza.

 

After seeing that the woman switched to the same spear that cut through magic damage, Zephine called out to Renju. "Yo, you're up on defense duty, I got this!" She didn't know why, but she had a hunch that for whatever reason Renju was just as able to tank for hits as she was. And with that, she charged forward with a scythe strike.

So apparently the heavy spear weaken their attacks, not sure how that works but she changed it back to the magic cutting form so that didn't matter at the moment. Hearing Zephine call out of him, Renju nodded before using Friend Block on Alkes.

 

So, Erza's grand counter attack was to...swap stances and use the thing that protected her from magical attacks. Well, clearly she hadn't thought things out very well. The only one that had any magical capability in Hunter's mind was out of MP! So, he stabbed her again with his claws, because screw giving a decent post.

Hunter attacked!​

 

It annoyed him that he was a burden that needed to be protected, but at the very least he was thankful. "Thanks for the support!" Alkes said dashing forward as his fist was coated in flames. Readying himself, Alkes immediately fired Flare at her.

 

Given that Flare was apparently stacking in damage, and she could probably do more damage with that than a regular attack, Star cast Flare against Erza.

 

After watching Renju take the rapid spear strikes from Erza for Alkes, Zephine called out saying, "I got this now, you strike while the iron's hot." With that, she ran near Alkes ready to block any spear strike that would come his way.

It sure was a good thing that Renju had defended Alkes when he did, for the spear took on a blue form this time and attack rapidly. "Right." He said, strike at Erza with his sword.

 

Damn, Erza had been talked up so much before, why was she this crap? "And here I thought she was half decent" Hunter taunted, before sending a blast of ice at the soulless monster.

Hunter used Freeze!​

 

Geez just why was this woman constantly aiming at him?! Surely without the help of Zephine and Renju he would have surely been finished by now. Victory was in sight and maybe Alkes could at the very least get out of there conscious. With his fist he sent another punch aided by Strong Attack

 

Star used a regular attack ending the fight against Erza!

Erza had fallen to the ground, her body covered in bruises and burns. She was breathing heavy and almost seemed like she was about to use powerful attack, but she fell to the ground. She mustered up some energy only to see the Fairy Tail guild disappear. Her last resort was to get upon her dragon and ride away. She had been defeated.

A magic ball fell from Erza. The orb had a glow that was astonishing to say the least. This was the orb of the world. Erza apparently had it the whole time. Star picked up the orb and it began to shine upon all the group.

Absorption unlocked! - 50% boost from the mana restored from normal attacks. (.75 instead of .5 per physical attack)

Exceed can be summoned! - Exceed allows for party to do bonus damage against flying enemies. Has own HP bar.

Within the distance was a familiar sound. A vehicle that belonged to a member of Fairy Tail, Natsu! He drove over to the group and noticed the guild was now gone, again. "Looks like there was a battle?"

"Yeah, we fought off Erza to buy them time." She looked at the orb and then handed it over to Natsu. "Erza had this. Its very important. I think Fairy Tail should be the ones to hold onto it. You all look like you are capable of handling yourselves."

Natsu didn't argue. He took the orb and waved them off. "Hope to see you guys again. Visit us whenever you feel like it. I'll tell the guild about what happened." He drove off with the orb in hand. Now the group was done with their mission on Edolas. There were many questions left unanswered though. Who was that angel woman, and why did she want the orbs? Maybe Styme would know more.

MISSION COMPLETE! Group has been sent back to the Connected Land!
