Orbs of Life

Everything was going far to easy that the sudden appearance of the powerful woman was something Alkes wasn't really surprised about. Now the real challenge was to begin and they would not fall...hopefully. In any case they might actually fluke and win in a ridiculous way. With the way things were going it really did not surprise him.

His orb shattering and coating his arms and legs in energy, Alkes immediately held his arms in a defensive position, attempting to block the blow only to take damage. Enduring the blow, Alkes immediately dashed forward with his fist clenched. It was small, but he realized he was improving a bit. With his clenched fist Alkes immediately sent a punch at Erza, utilizing the ability Strong Attack.

 

The battle was on and now that Erza had attacked all them, they were able to fight back, well that is how Star thought anyway. Watching Alkes use a strong attack command, she did the same and went for Erza!

 

While they were talking about the cat thing, everything had apparently worked out and the now flying cats had decided to give them a ride. Kickass. After going for a high five from Hunter for their amazing deductive reasoning about these cats (o/) they got flown all the way out and were now back at the guild, ready to get back with everyone in this world, and think about the next step in their world rescuing mission.

It was at that point that Erza had apparently tailed them this entire time was meaning to take the down with her powers of Erza-ness and what have you. After getting struck by a wind strike from her spear, Zephine called forth her Scythe and charged at the Knightwalker with just a regular old attack.

Erza had finally decided to make her appearance before the group and the first thing that she did was to attack them with a wind attack from her spear. Well if her spear could change forms like that then things could get problematic depending on what each form could do. Whelp, no sense in worrying about it now. The orb in his had shifted into its blade form and Renju proceeded to rush Nightwalker and attack her with a regular attack

 

Hunter stood back and prepared to attack Erza. He'd been AFK and really couldn't be bothered to go back through and read each post in detail, but he had picked up on what was clearly the most important thing in any of them.​

You'd better believe he high fived the shit out of Zephine's hand. There was never a high five that could even compare. By making physical contact, he turned around and fired a beam of ice at Erza, utilizing the power of friendship to defeat the inferior foe that thought she could scratch them.
Hunter used Freeze!​

 

This woman was surely going to be a tough one and quite difficult to fall. With the fight still far from over, Alkes quickly dashed forward and sent a kick towards Erza.

 

Looking at how much Hunter did to Erza. Star looked in shock at such power. She began to cast Flare, hoping to do the same. Even if she was physically strong and magically weak, she couldn't miss this opportunity to test her skills.

 

After the group had launched a variety of attacks against the red haired woman, the seemed to be making a good dent in her own defenses. In fact, all she seemed to do was change her magic spear into a different magic spear. Well that was good. Not really wanting to use magic, never really having a good time with any of the garden variety kind anyway, she followed up with Alkes with a quick slash of the scythe directed towards the woman.

Despite her spear changing forms again, yet she didn't attack with it. Weird, but no use it letting this go to waste so he held out his hand and from the palm fired off a flare spell towards Erza.

 

Hunter was considering going into AFK mode once more, he wasn't sure he wanted to put in the effort to win this boss fight. I mean, if he waited long enough he'd be skipped and then his minions (yes that's what they are to him now) would take care of things. And then he had a realization: If he posted fast enough, the other world would never catch up in time. Then he could gloat and call them slow, and make himself seem better. An ego boost. He needed one of those, he could feel the tiniest bit of confidence gone from him, or maybe that was just him passing wind, either way it probably wasn't good, so he'd have to fix that.

"Stand aside random NPC #64, when did you arrive here? In either case, I'll show you how a real sorcerer does things" he boomed, before burning through another point of MP and firing off a mighty explosion that would have destroyed everything had Myst allowed it, but he has forbidden that from happening. The Rules had spoken. And so, it was more like a tiny, warm irritation that did minor damage.

THE ALMIGHTY FLARE​

 

His eyes widening as the sudden attack made contact, Alkes got knocked back and sustained heavy damage from the attack. Things were not looking good for him, but even so he refused to fall yet. Magic seemed to be working at moment, however magic wasn't really his forte and the others seemed to be holding down the front with their own magic. For now, Alkes dashed forth and sent another Strong Attack.

 

Star looked at her attack and how little to nothing it did. She growled. "Damn it! Hunter did so much with that last attack!" She just grumbled and decided to never use magic again. Alkes also took a hard hit. She used Strong Attack again.

 

Seeing that the dude Alkes had taken a nasty hit from her exploding spear, Zephine decided to make sure the guy didn't get his face curbstomped in and decided to just be a pal and friend block for him.

Three different forms, three different abilities. Explosion seemed to be the most effective one so far (Not that the actual deadly one will be used) how much damage it did to Alkes, fortunately Zephibro had him covered. So Renju fired off another Flare spell toward Erza.

 

As Alkes took the hit, Hunter realized he had medicine. There he stood in the midst of battle with a slightly confused look on his face. Was he to save an ally, or save the carry? He could heal Alkes, but then not only would Erza probably bs something and KO him again, but her aggression would then be turned to Hunter, which was a terrible idea because thus far he seemed to be the carry. "Alkes, if you go down, I'm afraid I don't have any medicine, but I'm sure Zephine would be more than happy to give CPR" he stated, making his decision as he casually slipped the herbs back into his pocket and launched an offensive ice blast attack once more.

Hunter used Freeze!​

 

Another switch of weaponry, each of these spears probably had their own special ability, leaving herself open while she switched. An attack was coming and so the decision to attack or defend was the option....though at this point might as well go big. Maybe it was cause he was super weakened, but even so Alkes looked at Hunter with a dull and stoic face and stuck a thumbs up at Hunters claim. In a snap his eyes narrowed as he faced back Erza and immediately shot Flare at the red haired woman.

 

It was another attack. It was different though. Last time she did this, it absorbed their magic attacks. What if this one was the same but in reverse? Or maybe it was a charge attack that would do significant damage to them all. She didn't want to use magic, but she didn't want to somehow get trapped. She sighed and let go, using Flare against Erza.
