It was time. Plenty of people had finally come to the Connected Land to help the worlds from the unknown who seek ultimate power. There was disturbances and notices from certain dimensions that showed signs of these figures. A man dressed in a white robe, pale skin, and silver hair walked down the large staircase that connected to what was the appearance of a large manor. His hand rose up with his own personal orb shining.

"I am Lord Styme. You have been brought here today on a mission. I know many of you are not aware of what is going on or how you even came to this place. Even the orbs you have found are a mystery to you. Let me begin by telling you that you have entered the center of all creation. This is the pathway that connects many different dimensions many of which you are from. The orbs you have are chosen to you because they have thought you worthy to wield them. These orbs will transform into a weapon of your personality. Now your task that you have been given is to defend the peace and balance between both life and death. There has been much unbalance within the dimensions and a group is seeking the Ultimate Orbs, the orbs that are at the center of each world which give it law and balance. Remove that orb and risk the destruction of a world and lives."

He continued down to the group of individuals with a smile on his face. These people looked like they were true chosen. Now he was closer to the group, giving them an extra observation. Once finished, he took a few steps back.

"Please take some time to get to know one another. Your first mission will begin shortly so take any preparations you wish. I can tell you are all ready for the challenge of going to new worlds and seeing new things. The manor is yours to use. The gardens around are also free for your pleasure. In the back there is an arena for you to test your skills and train. I shall return briefly as I confront the masters about your assignment."

He walked away, leaving the men and women to converse about who they were and get to know one another.

Having arrived in the new area, Zephine just looked around the entire estate that they were in and let out a whistle of admiration. With her hands in her pocket, she continued to listen on half intently to what the 'Lord Stimm' or whatever his name was explain what their duty as...whatever they were was. What she took out was basically go places, beat bad guys, and that was about all there was to it. After he told them of their job as the intergalactic police force, she gave a quick salute to the man with a smirk on her face and said, "roger that boss man."

There was now the matter of what he had said about their orb thingymerjiggers. Apparently those could also become weapons that were based off their personality. Well that sounded kind of awesome. Though, there was the small matter of where the hell her orb actually went. After picking it up the first time she kind of lost complete track of where it went, and it seemed kind of important so finding it was of utmost import- oh, it was right in front of her. Just sort of appeared there really. Curiously looking at the orb, she picked it up and watched as it turned into a scythe. Huh. Well that was unsettling. Regardless, she spun the thing around a bit and then finally planted the blade of it into the ground before looking to the other members of the group with a smile on her face. Observing the group, it seemed like there was a good deal of just about all kinds of people here. Blonds, Gingers, Black hair, purple hair and...well no brunettes really. Regardless she said "heyo everyone, name's Zephine, turns out were work buddies now soooo, getting down the names seems pretty important and stuff. So how you all doing?"

Galia stood against the wall her left foot up behind her pressed against it as a loud pop from her gum was heard as the man finished speaking. Galia tossed her orb up and caught it repetitively until another person spoke. They where to get to know each other where they and it seemed like this person thought group introductions where a great way to do that. As Galia caught her orb once again it turned into her weapon, a hand held cannon of sorts, it was enough to scare most people away from her or so she hoped. With a scowl she stood up straight holding her weapon at her side.
"Galia Chelo. Not that names mean too much, I won't remember yours and don't expect you to remember mine." She spoke in a harsher tone as she started to walk across the room towards the arena not paying much mind to those around her. "Psh group introductions. What are we, in preschool?" Galia mumbled to herself as she pushed past some people and entered the arena.

Inside where she was alone Galia lifted her cannon to aim it, test what it really could do. She was scared to use it before, not sure what to think of the orb or the cannon. She was still unsure but now she was given a task at hand. She would do what was asked of her and learn the power behind her weapon. Galia was not thrilled that she had to work with other people, but she would manage. Working alongside them didn't mean leaning on them for support. She didn't need anyone for that. She was twenty after all, and had been pretty much independent since she was twelve. The idea of making friends crossed her mind then -BAM!- Her cannon fired off across the room at a training dummy sending the stuffing inside of it flying. She didn't need friends either. She would deal with comrades but they where nothing more than that. Friends and letting people in would only lead to abandonment and hurt but if they where just comrades then nothing would come of it. BAM! another shot was fired at the next training dummy. This cannon was good, powerful but it didn't need loaded or shot cannon balls, no it was different it shot some kind of magic.

While the man had explained to them why they were here, what they were to be doing and the orbs that they all presumably had, Renju was seated on some steps staring at the orb in his hand. It seemed ordinary enough, which was saying something given how it was suppose to turn into a weapon that matched them. That would make anyone curious, assuming that their weapon wasn't something ridiculous or revealed either a side to them that they didn't know about or a side that they didn't want anyone else to see. While Renju was monologuing, the orb in his hand had suddenly gained some weight to it. Looking to see why that had happened, he saw that the orb was now a pretty big broadsword. A closer look revealed it to be made up of smaller blades. Despite not being sure on how this reflected him at all, he definitely thought that it was cool. That much was for certain.

As placed the sword down next to him, he overheard what was introductions being made. One of which sounded not so enthusiastic about it. "Renju, not much to say aside from that." Definitely not the most informative introduction that one could, but it was the best that they would get from him at the moment. His eyes glanced back towards the sword that was resting by his side. It would be a good idea to get a feel of how this sword worked, especially side it was one bug sword made out of a much of smaller sides ones. He then picked up the sword in his hand and went off towards the arena.

Once she was home enjoying the grass all around and now she was being called a protector of the peace. Star looked at the strange man and the people around her as Styme spoke to them. The orb she received seem to grant special powers and could transform. She concentrated into the sphere and it transformed into a chakram. It was almost fitting. Her personality was like a blade but her heart was hollow because of the impression she had growing up. It really did show who you were.

Now was a time for introductions it seemed. They were going to be her partners. They would not be for long however. If anything, Star preferred to work by herself. Others would just tie her down. In fact, all of them including herself did not look adequate enough to be heroes of any kind. The old man must have been crazy or saw something greater than what they could tell yet.
"I'm Star. Don't expect to be in a party for long, I'm not one for teams." She stated. It was a bit strange being the youngest one around. Guess she was just talented for her age, that's what she thought anyway.

While the man continued to talk, Acele looked at the rest of the group that was gathered around. They all looked like different personalities mashed together at random. If those orbs of theirs chose them, she was pretty sure it was for a good reason, since even she didn't know any reason that the orb would choose her. As the man finished his talk and walked away, one of the other group members introduced herself, followed by not-so-enthusiastic introductions of others. Two of them already decided that they wanted to be alone while a third seemed more interested in his weapon than anything else. "Well, I'm called Acele. And I for one would love to work as part of a team. After all, would't it be better to work as a team than end up as roadkill?" She grinned, trying to make the mood better. She might not be one for good jokes, but that never stopped her before.

Wondering what her own weapon was, she looked around for her own orb. She didn't exactly have pockets on her and wondered where it could be hiding. She checked her hand and viola, there it was. Not sure how it got there, she summoned her own weapon. Even that was a little strange to her, since she wasn't entirely sure she knew how to summon her weapon and a sword appeared before her. She figured it would have been something else, what else was a different story, and looked at it. The sword was pretty simple in design with the blade, and the cross-guard looked like two arrows that stuck out. The one thing she wasn't too sure about was the color, given it was all black, but maybe she would get used to that. The one thing she liked in the design was a small blue orb on the blade, which seemed to make the sword seem just a little more nice to her. It wasn't like carrying around a black sword would make her seem evil or not, no...at least she really hoped not.

As Styme finished, he took in the chirping of the assorted others. No one seemed enthusiastic except for one girl, and it all seemed like a mess to him. Shinji wasn't one for groups, either. Surprise, surprise-- right? Being added to a group of other anti-socials and one jovial member seemed a little far-fetched to the teen, taking easy stride towards the group. Palms pressing in pockets toward denim surfacing, he decided to let his lips open for once. "Shinji Tachibana," rolled off his tongue eloquently, dark spikes canting with his cranium as he took everyone in. And guess what? He left it at that.

Apart from the others that left, however, he made the decision to stick around and hear about the others. He was against the idea of groups... but just like every other time, he knew feelings would develop eventually. Just like with his deceased family, he would eventually lose all of them... but that wouldn't stop his emotions. Emotional attachment was something he would never get over. It made Shinji who it was.

A light emerald glow beamed from his hood, weighing down in the back as it acted as the carrier for the ornament. He wasn't exactly ready to reveal his weapon, but he knew the time would come. Sticking toward the group, the glow still resonated upon the meeting of the so called 'heroes.'

Hunter had decided on a colour scheme, and now it was time that he brought himself into the existence of this particular roleplay. He had been hiding behind the manor, simply waiting for something exceptionally dramatic to happen so that he could enter and draw attention to himself once everybody was gathered. And gathered they were, so now was the time to shine. He had the ability to do that literally, but that might make him seem just a little too godmoddy and would then get him deleted from everything.

"In the red corner, we have the one, the only, the Legendary Hunter!" Hunter bellowed, walking around the side of the manor as he announced his presence. "Aaaand in the blue corner, weighing approximately..a collective weight of about one metric tonne from the looks of you... is a group of some wannabe heroes who think they're out to save the worlds! Will they succeed? Will they fail? Only one thing is for certain, and that's that they will never be even close to as badass as Hunter himself. But can they handle that? Find out in the next episode of Orbs of Life!" the man said, coming to a stop in front of the others. He gave a sly wink as he passed each of the female cast members, and then did a mock bow. "Stefano Macellazione, but you can call me your god. Excited about being on a team with me yet?" he asked, asking as casually as he possibly could.

Shinji sneered at the newcomer, not very welcome to the whole 'god' complex the other was forcing. Yes, he accepted that there were bigger and better people out there than him; but he would never subject himself to putting anyone in his divine outlook. He would keep to himself, however, as attention averted away from the show-off. If that weapon could be used against this freak, he'd be more than happy to shut him up...

"Alright your god, let's see just how manly you are!" A voice called out from across the room. A blonde man walked up behind hunter with a smug look on his face. He also had yet to take his orb, and his weapon was yet unannounced. "I challenge you to a contest of manly men! We will see who is the manliest here!" He proclaimed with an overly dramatic point at the man. It seemed he took up the challenge, as Hunter merely flexed and his shirt tore apart and came flying off due to his sheer rippedness and masculinity. Not one to back down when the going got tough, he flexed and performed a similar action, except his chest was covered entirely with hair.

"Oh, we're going that route are we?" Hunter questioned rhetorically. Squinting his eyes, a full bush of chest hair appeared across his torso. Jesse clapped, applauding his sizable masculinity. However, the contest was far from over. Grunting, hair began to appear on his face, when all at once a full dwarven beard shot out of his face. Hunter met this action in tandem. They were now both the epitome of masculinity. They stood with imposing posture, beer nearby, and a monster truck nearby from seemingly nowhere. "It looks like there's only one way to decide this. We need to see what our weapons are!" "Of course!" Hunter grabbed his orb intently, which transformed into a pair of twin claws. "Aha! Ya see?! Look at these things! They're so badass nothing could ever even comp-" He was cut short by a loud sound. Jesse had picked up his orb.

Smugly, Jesse knew he had won. He sat atop his weapon. It wasn't a conventional one by any means. It was a motorcycle. However, not just any motorcycle. The entire thing seemed to be comprised of two women fused together. He quite literally had a motorcycle made of women. One of them looked to the side and gave a wry wink at Hunter as if to say "better luck next time."

It was time. Most of the wielders had experienced their weapons and were ready to fight and be sent out. Lord Styme was now exiting the manor, announcing via telepathy the mission ahead. He knew some were missing and probably in the back or enjoying themselves in the Connected Land. For those who were around, he was glad to see such unique weapons and traits. One even had a vehicular weapon which was uncommon and rare.

He began to speak. "It seems you have all come to terms with the orb and discovered your weapons of your true self. The other Lords have spoken with me and have given me permission to open the doorway. The Dimension you shall enter will be known as the Realm of Faries" His orb began to glow and 2 portals had opened behind him. "These are the doorways that will lead you to this world. I am afraid to say you will need to split into two groups. Only 5 may enter a specific destination at a time. I trust you to report your choice then proceed. I only wish you all the best of luck in your journey ahead."

    MISSION RECEIVED!

Go to the OOC thread and state which world you will be traveling to. The worlds are on the OOC primary post. You have 2 days to achieve this before continuing on.[DOUBLEPOST=1421958775][/DOUBLEPOST]MISSION COMPLETE!

    All Received 35 Experience.

    ~Earthland~

The Fantasia Festival was beginning to be underway. The group had found themselves in the Guild Hall known as Fairy Tail. There was a lot of talk about something however? Listening around, it finally became clear that a beauty contest was to go under way. The girls were participating and about to show off their selves as well as magic abilities to swoon the crowd.

An old small man approached the group with a smile on his face. He nodded his head at the group of visitors. "Welcome Welcome. Please make yourselves comfortable. We are about to start the Fairy Tail Beauty Contest. All visitors are welcome! My name is Makrov, I'm the Master of this here guild, Fairy Tail."

The show began with several of the girls from the Fairy Tail began to display themselves and their magic skills. The crowd was needless to say impressed. One woman was using card magic, another water, one with a sniper, a girl with magic in the form of words, and another that could change her armor at will. This world was a much different one than the group had probably encountered.

Mission: Enjoy yourselves a little at the Beauty Contest.

Meanwhile... "Laxus, some new people entered the Guild. We don't know any of their strengths."

"Just lock them away with the old man and dragon slayers. Keep watching until that Lucy brat steps up."

    ~Edolas~

The group had entered the portal and found themselves at a strange world with a yellowish sky and floating islands all around. These islands were not floating on water, but floating in the sky! They appeared right next to a building with the words Fairy Tail carved into it. They entered to fight a lot of strange people inside. All were staring at them with not the most pleasant looks.

Behind them was the sound of a vehicle riding fast and right at them. It stopped and a boy with pink hair and riding goggles came right out. He wore a smile and looked confident. "Welcome to the guild. You've come to the right place if you're looking for a rid."

A girl yelled out from inside the guild, a blonde girl. "Natsu! Did you bring the supplies! We cant get by much longer without it!"

The cool boy had now coward in fear as the girl shouted at him. "Y-Yes, Lucy. I got everything. Its in the trunk." He turned into a total wimp.

"Sorry you all had to see that. Sometimes you just have to beat the sense into the guy. This is the Fairy Tail guild. We're on of the last few guilds in Edolas thanks to the king and his no guild law. We're rebels trying to get by and help people. I'm Lucy. The cowering goof over there is Natsu. I can see you all have magic weapons too, so you're among friends. Make yourselves comfortable if you want."

    Mission: Look around the guild

    ---------------------------------------------------------

Star was in shock to entering the guild and finding glares everywhere. It was almost as if they were among criminals. After Lucy's words, Star entered the guild and looked around. There was a bar, a strange machine, and a bunch of warn out supplies. These guys really were rebels given their situation in the world. A king decided to outlaw guilds, it kinda made her wonder what guilds were and why the need to outlaw it was. The use of magic seemed to be a ban too. If they were caught using the orbs by other civilians, they would be accused of being part of some sort of rebel group as well.

"Hey, guys, You think the king might be what is threatening the life of this world, or this guild?" Star asked her other comrades. Their mission was to protect the orb, but they had to find out who was threatening it first.

And there it was, a display of magic like he'd never seen before. His world was nothing new to strange occurrences and powers beyond belief, but this was physical magic. He could actually see the blue-haired girl form water from thin air, transferring the liquid between her grasps like some sort of hat trick. It all seemed so bizarre to him, the cheery atmosphere and the warm welcome they received. It was all... comforting. Was this world really in trouble? Was there anything threatening what they had?

The guild hall was large, made mostly of one room separated into two flights. The lower flight held a bar, a board posted with jobs for guilds in the area, and a mess hall to slowly drink away at the refreshments given. There were tons of people in the cramped room, and it took every ounce of Shinji not to knock people out of his way. They were too close for comfort, but that didn't stop him from finding a seat in the crowd.

Taking initiative and moving there, Shinji decided to seat himself and watch the rest of the girls on stage. He had seen the card tricks and water show, but now a dance of blades occurred. 'Titania Erza' was chanted among the crowd, whispers carrying of her beauty and loyalty to the guild. It was easy to notice that she was popular, but then other names appeared in the chattering after she left. With each new face, a name accompanied the crowd. Guns came blazing to the sound of Bisca, words appeared out of thin air for Levy McGarden, and the last brought stars to her command in the form of Lucy. It was all a sight to behold, but only one thought clouded his mind upon another look.

Where's that damn orb? Is it somewhere in this guild...?

Galia was confused at the telepathic communication and more so at the fact that her weapon, a highly destructive cannon, was a representation of her true self. It didn't matter anyways. It got the job done. Galia shot off one more shot before lowering her cannon and turning to walk away. That was when she saw some other members of the group that had chosen to also go to the arena. "Oh where you planning to train too? Sorry." She said with a shrug as she brushed past them back to the main hall.

Galia walked back straight to a portal that was opened for them. Without hesitation she chose one and entered. She found herself in a big hall filled with lots of people and a show. Well this was going to be annoying. With a little man welcoming them them rushing them to sit and enjoy the show Galia rolled her eyes and found a seat at the back of the room and decided to find entertainment. She decided to just judge all the ladies because why not. I mean it was better than socializing. Galia decided as each came up that she was more pretty than them. It was true. She was. Either way it was some source of entertainment in this dull place. How was this supposed to be keeping the balance or whatever the hell they where supposed to be doing?

After Zephine had introduced herself so buoyantly the reaction she had gotten was...well it was less than desirable. First there was the blonde girl who introduced herself as Galia and she was something else. After introducing herself she basically just brushed everyone off and left the area. What a bitch. Next up was the person with the black hair and the cool sword. Senju, as it was, seemed to be pretty apathetic about, well everything and just sort of wondered off as well. Then there was the next girl. Star. And she seemed to hate the idea of working with people too. Well damn son. Just about everyone here seemed to hate the idea of working as a team. What the hell kind of bunch of chosen saviors were they? Next up was a person who finally seemed to actually care about actual fellowship, which she could only give a thumbs up to her comment to, and then the next person just kind of walked up and decided to continue the trend of being antisocial pricks. Welp.

The next two were just flat out weirdos. One seemed to have a god complex that was clearly prevalent as he was announcing his own entry. While he did seem full of himself, he was still willing to work on a team though so, yay? Then there was the blonde guy who just sort of came in and challenged the red head to a contest that involved a lot of spontaneous hair growth and yelling. Her expression reflected what she felt, which was not having any idea how to react to this. There was this sudden feeling that she got that this would most likely be the case throughout the course of their intergalactic police work.

It was then that the good old authority figure dude told them that they'd have to go and move out now and go save worlds from the various forces that be. And so, she knocked her scythe out of the ground, threw it into the air, had it turn back into an orb mid and catch it with it vanishing all in the process, Zephine was now ready to head out. Turning around to the portal, she was a tad bit anxious at the moment as she had no idea how this whole team thing would work given that three-fifths of them were completely anti-social, but only time would tell. Doing a little bit of stretching first, Zephine shortly ran and hopped straight into the portal for one of the two places.

Exiting out of the portal and going straight into the next building, she was greeted with a strange sight. That of a large assortment giving them a lot of glares being directed in their general direction. Almost as if the atmosphere was as friendly as the place she had just come from. However, there was the girl, Lucy, who told them just who they were and that they were, allegedly, welcome here. Zephine gave a thumbs up to the girl before turning over to listen to what Star had said. Who was the group after the world's orb? Well, general rules stated that the first people you ran into when searching the place were the most trustworthy of people. However the act of "what a tweest!" was always a thing as well. Hm, who to trust. Not really coming to a definite answer Zephine replied to the girl saying, "well, we definitely know that this group is doing something illegal and probably in some sort of rebellious fashion...but we have absolutely no idea what the state of affairs in this world is. We don't exactly know what kind of person this king even is sooo, that'd be some good info to get first. Sound good?" She decided to wait for what the others would say, at least this time to see if there was any hope of something close to a team or the like.

So there were worlds other than the world that he lived in. It was an amazing thought, but at the same time he could only question why he was drawn here. Alkes was not in the best position, he was brought forth without his cloth and though this was a hindrance, his cosmo seemed to be inaccessible. He couldn't understand it, but he would have to make due with what he could access. And so Alkes crossed his arms and watched as the others began to introduce themselves.

The purple haired man could only smile slightly as he watched the girl began to introduce herself, but the following intros were not the best, most of them becoming quite annoying. The last two however were beyond annoying and just caused Alkes to merely rub his temples at their display. At this point it was quite ridiculous and the ridiculousness really made him not even think to introduce himself. His eye twitched and he groaned, but it seemed he was able to not bring attention to himself as they were able to move on towards another world. He stared over at this Styme person calmly before walking off with a few into a portal.

To save the worlds and protect them from those that threaten the world. To preserve order was something that was Alkes' mission, however it didn't matter whether it was for Athena or not, to protect the weak was the duty of a saint. He would fight, but could he say that he was really fighting for justice? just who was this Styme? He would be on guard for now.

This world before him was quite different from the world he originated from, quite the amount of conflict had plagued this world and Alkes was beginning to see just what caused this conflict. The rule of a king and the struggles of the people, just who was right in this conflict? "Agreed, we cannot just go blindly rushing into a fight. We should start investigating this guild, learn the basics of this world and move forth later to the king's area...dependant on what we've learned" Alkes said silently to the others.

Acele what they would be doing for their first mission, when Styme came back and opened up some portals to other worlds. Not wondering which one to take, she did the only thing that she could think of to make a choice -- She closed her eyes and walked to whichever one she thought was the best choice. Might not be the brightest way, but no one said she did things the "brightest" way. As she walked through the portal, she started to hear noises coming from around her, and she opened her eyes.

Where she stood now was in the middle of a giant building with chairs and tables all around, a stage at one end of the massive room, and what seemed like a bar of some sort on another wall to her side. There were people all around, laughing and talking, making as much noise as they could. There was a small man that appeared before her and the others. Calling himself Makrov and the master of this area. Apparently the reason for all the noise was there a Festival that was being held, and they were holding a beauty contest. Acele wondered what to do in the meantime, and took a seat to watch. There didn't seem to be much else to do except enjoy themselves at this moment in time, and figured it'd be best to do just that.

Any plans that Renju had on training were pretty much canceled when he walked into the room and found that the training dummies were pretty much a pile of ash. By the girl holding a cannon no less. Despite how cool the cannon was, taking into account how the weapon that the orb took shape of was a representation of them, what the hell did you have to be to get a cannon as a weapon? Cannons were these weapons of destruction and she was just a dainty gi- wait maybe the cannon meant that she had a short fuse and quick to anger. Not only did would that make sense, it was the best that he was going to come up with. He had little choice but to turn back now so that what he did.

When he'd gotten back into the main room, it was right when some people had started walking through the portal that were there for them. So that was how they were going to be traveling to other worlds. Well it definitely is a quick and easy method doing so. After walking into the portal he took a look around, it was quite easy to say that they were in an interesting place. "I don't think we can do much other than ask for some info." Renju said, pretty much agreeing to Zephine's plan. There probably were other ideas for them to do, but those idea also probably weren't the best ones to do.

This portal was clearly the better portal in Hunter's eyes, and he was so glad he had chosen it. There were floating islands, perfect for pushing people off the edge of, there were quite a few people inside to treat him as the god that he so rightly deserved to be treated as, and best of all if he had heard everything right, they'd been there for a whole five minutes and were already being asked to do something illegal! "Information works. We should find out what this king is like, then beat the crap out of him, and take over his throne. Just leave the information gathering to me, I know how to talk to the ladies!" Hunter said, pushing past and walking towards the female guild members, intending to ask questions about the king.

He returned just a few minutes later, with two red handprints on his face after being slapped, and several looks of disgust cast in his direction. "Okay, so I didn't ask about the king. I asked about several other things, things that were personal. They called this place a guild, so they should be open with stuff like that, but apparently not. Talk about rude" Hunter said, rubbing his sore cheek as he spoke.

The talent show went on and all the chosen were trying to enjoy themselves. The final entry came up, a girl named Lucy. As soon as the girl started to give her appeal with a set of magical keys, the show was stopped by a strange woman. She was tall wearing a green outfit, dirty blonde hair, and glasses.

"There is no need to continue this contest because I am already the winner." The woman said in a very egotistical manner. She turned to Lucy and looked into her eyes, the girl turning into stone. "All the other entries have somehow turned into stone anyway!"

The small man walked through the crowd, angrily. "Evergreen! You cannot do this. Free them right now!" Makrov stated in anger as the woman gloated.

"No can do." Another voice came from the back of the Guild Hall. A man with Green hair and another wearing a helmet and sticking his tongue out stood there. The one with green hair began to speak on the contradictory. "We cannot. This is a challenge from Laxus. He is claiming that the battle of Fairy Tail is going to start now. If none of you comply, the girls will break into dust within 3 hours. Those newcomers are to participate as well." The three that had offered the challenge ran out of the guild in a frenzy.

Makrov began to growl in anger. There was nothing that could be done though since the Guild Members were already outside of the building, off to challenge them. The only ones that remained were the girls, a boy with pink hair who was sleeping, Makrov, and the group. "I'm sorry for this. I need to find Laxus immediately." He walked towards the exit but was stopped by a magical wall in front of him.

On the magical wall wrote text:

These are the rules to the game
Nobody who is made of stone,
the age of 80+, or dragon slayers
    may participate in the games.
The only way to end the games
is if Makrov gives his leadership
to Laxus as new guild leader.

Makrov sighed and looked at the newcomers. "My guild is going to be attacking those three. They are the Thunder God Tribe, a group of bodyguards for my son, Laxus. They are probably going to make my members suffer. He wants my job. I would give it to him if only he learned what is most important in this guild. My poor children are going to be hunted down and hurt! Please, you people. Find Laxus, and stop him!"

The group was going to be told to look for Laxus, however, they were going to be targeted by guild members as well. They had a hard mission ahead of them.

MISSION: Search for Laxus. Battle the Guild when run into.

The group had concluded to gather information about the king and this world. Lucy overheard their conversation and offered to help them.

"You aren't really from around here, are you? Well I'll help you out. Our King is a man who hunts down guilds. We guilds take on missions for the people to help them out. We haven't had much magic in the past few years because of the amount that keeps leaving compared to coming. The King thinks its okay to take magic from another world. He also uses all the magic for himself to make his life more comfortable. It is hard enough for the rest of us to get by."

She continued to offer information until an explosion occurred outside of the building. The group ran outside to see something that was odd. Even the members of the guild were confused to what was going on. The members of the guild ran quickly inside and somehow warped away with the group being left alone to challenge.

On top of one of the small islands stood a woman with wings that radiated fire. She looked down at the group and to their orbs. She revealed her own orb, and orb with flames within.

"My my, orb wielders in a place like this? It's my lucky day. Umbra of Fire, I summon you to destroy these worms and acquire their orbs." Around the group began to summon small demon like creatures radiating in fire. There were several of them and they were all ready to attack.

MISSION: Defeat the Fire Umbra that have been summoned

After having been discussing about what they would do, Zephine was glad that everyone wanted to go along with her plan to go look for some info on both the king and the guild that they were in. However, as they discussed this, the girl, Lucy had overheard them and decided to go fill them in on what was what with the world. So apparently the king was some sort of dude who just sort of siphoned magic and lived in luxury and oppressed the people hardcore here. Man, what a ******. Unless of course this girl was lying, but there was no absolutely no way that would happen. As she was about to say her thanks to this Lucy girl, it was interrupted by a resounding boom. As the group hurried to the source of this boom, they saw someone how possessed an orb quite like their own. After her saying something about how she was trying to take their orbs Zephine could only say, "well damn. Didn't take long at all for us to find a rival force trying to work against us, did it?"

Soon after, the orb had produced these fifty or so flaming demons that looked hungry to fight them. With a smile on her face and a spring in her step, Zephine summoned her orb before saying, "well then. How's about we give them a warm welcome." With a slight chuckle her orb soon shifted forms back into the shape of a scythe. Holding the weapon so that the blade was behind her, Zephine took straight off after these "umbras of fire." One charged straight at her, though Zephine quickly side stepped the charge, and the demon ended up with its head getting caught on her blade and effectively decaptitating itself. The demons then continued to charge at her, only for her to react by stopping, spinning her scythe around and striking at one. The blade lodging itself into the gut of one of the demons, she quickly brought her scythe around and slammed both the blade and the demon into a third one.

It was then that she felt heat radiating from behind her, only to notice that one had managed to sneak up on her during this time. Ducking from underneath the claw swipe, she quickly thrust her weapon backward, hitting the demon with the but of her scythe, and then kicked off of it jumping backwards. After landing, she quickly brought the scythe blade around and with a mighty swing decapitated another of them.
