I wonder if the 3DS will work with people who lack stereoscopic vision? If not, there better be a way to turn the 3D effects off.

It probably won't work with people who lack stereoscopic vision because the 3DS is still showing a stereoscopic image. It's just using a parallax effect instead of typical method that used to make 3D images so the glasses aren't required. Nintendo did mention that an off button would be on the 3DS so there shouldn't be any worries. The 3D is just an nifty add-on and probably won't take away from most games.

Hmm. Does that mean I can leave the 3D effect on? With the 3D glasses, I tend to get just a blue-tinted screen, with red tinted in my other eye, as opposed to being normally coloured. If that effect is attained without glasses, I might be able to leave it on, and see what happens.

The 3DS will have a slider to control the intensity of the 3D effect. So, you could turn the 3D off but it wouldn't be the same.

A slider? This is starting to sound very promising. Probably won't work as intended for me, but it'll still be an interesting experience.

Perhaps not an experience warrenting the price tag though.
