    She doesn't like the idea of students using the computers to mess around so she installed a program called StudentSync or something like that and can control any computer at anytime.

    Whenever someone does something besides work she will write on the screen asking what jurisdiction of what we are doing is educational...
    And then she closes the window...
    Hell she even closes us out from a simple game of solitaire...

    Can you imagine the library of a 1-A school?

    That's mandatory for all computer teachers...well not amndatory. But most computer teachers are also school netowrk adminsitrators, which means they'd be able to do all that anyway, it's their job to look over the system and make sure none of the students do something wrong, therefore that program is really nothing more then a helping device. Hacking it is not.

    The teachers on campus have a similar program. I think it's called RemoteAcess or something similar.

    Basically, the teacher can look in any station at any given time and if we're not following along she closes us out of whatever program.

    oo; I've never heard of them actually using this.

    We had that at our school, too. And if we were on anything naughty the teacher would put our screen on the hueg computer at the front of the class and be like "LOOK WHAT MISH IS BROWSING LOL" so the whole class would be able to see. That's if we managed to get past the adult site blocker. If we didn't get past that, a message would come up in red on the screen and an alarm would sound. We never got into trouble for it, I think it was all just a ploy to humiliate us.

    Yeah, that ain't stoppin' meh though. I get like any random book, even Goosebumps, I returned five of those books once in a day to the library cause I like read them. But it keeps me from getting my ass owned by my computer teacher. If you don't look when you type or sit straight she puts a cover over the screen and keyboard so you can't see what your typing.

    My old school used to have that. Except my teachers weren't very humiliating over it. Not like it was possible for them to, they freaking blocked out mad sites so there's not much places you can go. Blah.

    Not all hacking results in the complete ****ing up of other people's computer/information.

    It's not uncommon for government institutions to employ hackers to find out information. You could call them computer spies, I guess.

    The teachers aren't messing anything up, they're just remotely accessing the school's computer to make you pay attention. oo;

    Now if they hacked your personal computer without probable cause, well that's where it gets tricky. Invasion of privacy and all.

    EDIT:

    Basically what Gerbil Boy said. :3
