My reaction to seeing Joss Whedon all over the Avengers credits

HOW DID HE RESIST THE URGE TO KILL ONE OF THE AVENGERS

They must have had his grandmother at gunpoint.

Also Whedon + Downey Jr. just might be enough to destroy the world. THAT MAN IS PLAYING GALAGA.

He killed Agent Coulson, though. A lot of people were disappointed by that, apparently.

 

I agree with Sfor-chan, one of his first inputs on Dr. Horrible was, "Let's kill Penny." He has a thing about killing main characters, I can only assume that they plan for sequels that he might not be directing so they wanted to keep their options open.

Also, anyone see Enver Gjokaj in that one scene?

He got to use that ray gun though. At least he got to do that.

 

I would weigh in on that but I held it together for the deaths of Kamina and the Companion Cube too.

I'm pretty sure Marvel told him not to kill any of the Avengers off, in case they were popular enough to get their own movie (and most of them seem to be getting their sequels/spin-offs).

So he has to focus on the non-superpowered ones. I fear for Maria Hill's life in the sequel if he's involved ;.;

I was depressed when he killed a certain someone off. He had been a great through both Iron Man movies and he will be missed.

We saw him sigh, then we saw a medical team carry him out.
It is established later in the movie that Fury lied to some degree when he announced Coulson' s death.
Why the hell would he bother retrieving some locked away cards and bloody them if he could just show the body ?
Am I seriously the only one who thinks we' re being trolled ?

 

I'd still hit that.

 

She isn't playing a seventeen year old gal. She's the perfect age for her character.

Coulson's death was the spark that got The Avengers acting as a team though. Before that, they didn't really have anything to convince them to put aside their differences. They'd be bickering all the time.

And that laser?
Remember the Destroyer that Loki sent to New Mexico in Thor's origin movie? Yeah, SHIELD reverse engineered it into a gun.
