I noticed that problem at the last minute and it was too late to fix the problem. I think it's the keyboard app that I downloaded
but I still don't think that matter anymore.

Yeah, this. I don't get sympathetic responses like that at all.
I'm not sure whether to believe it was hurting as much as he made out though. I mean, on the one hand, he was obviously in some pain, but on the other, he was walking around more or less fine and didn't look like it was hurting all the time. I'd rather not try it though.

You can walk around pretty easily with a lot of soft tissue damage. I agree with your overall point, just saying that's not a strong argument here.
